our options are to freeze out partey and put the club at risk of breaching english law and/or being sued, or to do what we did, which was SOP, and the same as what any other club should have/would have done. i agree with the part about not featuring him on our social media pages. zero risk of breaking the law in doing that, and imo that should have been done. no need to feature him on socials knowing he could soon be on trial for/found guilty of rape. other than that, the club did what any other club would have/could have done in the situation. we played him, arteta answered questions about him, we let his contract run out, and we replaced him.
as for the current outrage, itβs pretty gross. shit reels of faux moral outrage. if youβre actually mad, be mad at partey, be mad at the laws in the UK, be mad that it had been 3+ years and the prosecution couldnβt make a case against partey and had to scramble to fire charges the moment his contract ran out as he was suddenly a flight risk. stop yelling at arsenal fans, stop yelling at some of us personally, and stop calling us complicit like we had anything to do with anything, or like weβre in here defending partey. not a single one of us has ever defended him since the allegations first came out years ago. save your outrage for the people who actually fucked up, otherwise you come off as if youβre co-opting women being raped as an opportunity to shit on a soccer team that you donβt like.
