  1. holy shit that’s the catch of the day in baseball.
  2. you start every single interaction with me with cuss words, anger, patronizing talk, and total exasperation, and you’re the only one who doesn’t see it. just put me on ignore already man. you seriously can’t handle reading my posts.
  3. this is revisionist history at best, and a total fabrication at worst. first off, your use of “quinn haters” says it all. the idea that anyone who is critical of quinn “hates” him or is rooting against him is a mental illness that plagues this forum. the people who were critical of quinn were never the hostile, insulting, combative ones who needed to “dial it back”, and the idea that the pro-QE crowd simply suggested that “the haters dial it back” is laughable: you guys didn’t “suggest the quinn haters dial it back a bit”, you read spot-on accounts of his poor footwork, poor accuracy, pocket jitters, lack of mobility, inability to move the chains or hit open wr’s, etc, and then *y’all*- as in a shit ton of y’all- would respond to those non-combative, football related posts with anger, and vitriol, and personal insults, and mass neg reps. you guys didn’t “ask the haters to dial it back”, y’all were the very ones needlessly dialing shit up and going apoplectic at any post which that was critical of quinn in the first place. for you to sit here and act like that didn’t happen, or that the QE zealots weren’t the ones being needlessly combative and insulting is wild.
  4. ^^^ this is facts. we were calling it out in real time. i cannot count the number of times that people, especially thatguy, would make post after post after post and never once even hint that quinn could possibly be at fault for anything. these are the same claiming that he “led” us to all of our victories the last two years. you said it: anyone who denies this either wasn’t here the past 1-2 years or they just don’t remember.
  5. what adjectives would you use to describe a QB PFF rated as the 13th best in the sec and 200th best in the country, keeping in mind that this QB was in a better situation than all 199 qbs ahead of him? you think mediocre is too harsh? really?
  6. down goes Ant…
  7. that’s a foul. you have to call that.
  8. KAT really is that guy?!? is that what’s happening?
  9. the direction that his and zach lavine’s careers have gone since those dunk contests has been wild.
  10. you don’t seem to be able to grasp the concept of an online sports message board. the literal purpose of this entire website is discussion and debate. as for why people care- if you and someone else disagree with each other from a place of respect- aka what you see every day on the basketball, baseball, and soccer boards- then at the end of the day you get some right wrong, you get some wrong, and the discussion moves on. but when you can’t disagree without it instantly devolving into choosing sides, covering yourself in warpaint, and fire bombing the villages of everyone who doesn’t think exactly the way you do- aka the football forum- then yeah, people aren’t just gonna sit around and take abuse for years on end and then just say, “ho hum 🤷🏼‍♂️” and let it die when they’re ultimately proven right. there’s a natural human desire to say, “hey asshole, remember when you called me fat, told me that nobody loved me, negged my last 10, posts, and then tried to have me banned (all real examples from one single day of me posting on this thread in november of 2023) because my football opinion was different from yours? you remember that?!?!” yeah well it turns out that you were wrong, and it would be pretty great if you would be an adult and apologize, admit you were wrong, be better in the future, or best of all, do all of the above! this dynamic where, “we get to shit on you for years but you don’t get to say a word when you’re ultimately proven right” is just an insane thing to perpetuate or normalize. that has never been how it works, and we’re not starting today.
  11. hey, me too! maybe that’s my nobody has been taking me seriously this whole time… 🤔
  12. he’s on par with the likes of sam ehlinger, james brown, and major applewhite, but with none of the moxie, or ability to make plays outside of script. he was one of the poorer starters on two of the best teams we’ve ever had, and he failed to improve as his career went on. he had every advantage that any qb could ask for, from coaching, to supporting cast, to schedule, and he underachieved despite all of that. it’s really this simple: the people who think that QE was some legend, or that he “led” Texas to the playoffs, or that the people who criticize him are crazy, simply credit QE with “bringing Texas back” because he’s the QB and we won a bunch of games the past two years. some of you can’t separate our w/l record from QE’s personal performance. we won a lot, therefore QE must be great, and must be responsible for all of those wins. except that we won in spite of him, not because of him. this was where PFF ranked quinn ewers after week 12 (i would have posted the final numbers, but this was the the most recent ratings i could find): through 12 weeks of football, quinn ewers was rated as the 13th best qb in the sec, and the 200th best qb in america according to PFF. this is who he is. yes, we won a ton of games the last two seasons. we also had more nfl talent than anyone in CFB, we have one of the ~3 best coaching staffs in football, and last season we had the best defense in cfb, with stars at all three levels. easy schedule, loaded team, all star coaching staff- mediocre, undependable qb. at this point, anyone who still can’t see that quinn ewers was an obvious weak link for these last two teams is probably self deluded beyond repair. i don’t know how many more experts have to tell you that he wasn’t good, how much more analytical data you need to see, or how many hundreds of players have to be drafted ahead of him before you people wake up from your burnt orange kool-aid stupor and realize that quinn ewers was absolutely nothing special at Texas, and that nobody outside of this echo chamber sees him the way you do.
  13. shadeur sanders falling in the draft is apparently the work of the devil: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI5jxUQu5hb/?igsh=MXZnbTRmbmYyMGtrMg==
  14. julio just tried to hit without batting gloves and immediately launched his bat about 40 feet on his first swing.
  15. we still need 🤮 and 👎 rep emojis.
  16. don’t need them to. rubbing their noses in their giant pile of feces will suffice. all they had to do was disagree without being insulting. oopsies. maybe next time.
  17. the back half of the year i seem to recall us struggling to get first downs after half time, forget scoring TDs. we had some incredibly ugly, frustrating, ineffective second halves from our offense, meanwhile the defense was the best we’ve had in a decade+, and probably one of the 5 best in school history. the imbalance in what the defense did for us vs how QE and Auburn failed to fulfill their duties was a shame.
  18. “that’s just kind of the internet.” exactly. so when i catch a bunch of hell for having a dissenting opinion that ends up being correct, i now get to respond. that’s how it goes.
