Ok so are we just going to ignore the fact that Biden’s DOJ had this evidence for 4 years and did nothing with it (presuming there is anything there there)?

They have to reconcile in their brain that they were wrong and there’s nothing there.

It was a core, almost religious belief that Epstein was some liberal conspiracy, never mind Trump himself had his fingers all over it.

Also, I’m getting pretty goddamn sick and tired of my heart breaking for my fellow Texans, and the uniform reaction from leadership being “it could have been worse”…as they coast to re-election.
If the leadership of our state and the population that elects them can’t seem to muster a single fuck about the well-being of the humans who live here…why do I keep wasting time caring? I can’t help myself, but knowing that every tear I shed is fucking wasted compounds the loss and rage.

It blew my mind that the people of Uvalde still voted for Abbott after the shooting.  He literally lied to them about how their kids died.

    I got nothing.

  3. The mental gymnastics in real time fare fascinating.  Only in their bubble was Epstein an exclusively liberal scandal.  Never mind he died in federal prison while Trump was president, Trump was directly tied to him, and they hyperventilated during the Biden years and they wanted everything released.

Give them a few weeks and they'll move on like the whole thing never happened.  They were obsessed with child trafficking, Epstein is the poster child for that, their side takes over the entire government and *poof* it's like it never happened.

Let me say something about the CR accusations:  I don't think any clear-minded individual would watch these dicksticks on parade and think "yep, those are some real leaders right there, yessir", regardless of party/persuasion.  These people are not only grandstanding they are getting in the way of information flow which is beyond vital at this point.

Maybe Ann Richards pulled similar stunts, I don't remember.  Shame on her if she did.  This shit should transcend politics, but somehow commenting on it is "political" when it's just factual.

Keep in mind Hot Wheels is the same person who blatantly lied about the Uvalde shooting.

When we lived in SA, a tropical storm blew in and stalled over the city and dumped like 15 inches.  What I remember was that five inches fell in one hour and it was unlikely anything I'd ever seen.  Literally couldn't see across the street at one point.

That's what these hourly totals are like and it's mind bottling.

    OKC/Denver

    Houston, Minnesota, Clippers

    GS, Lakers, Mavs, Spurs

    Memphis, Portland, Suns

    Kings, Jazz, Pelicans

    This is the closest.

    1.  OKC/Denver -- they've actually won the whole thing

    1A. Houston

    2.  Minny, Clips, Mavs (if healthy), maybe the Spurs.  (I think SA surprises some people this year

    3.  Lakers, GS.  Both rosters have 2-3 good players and not much else.

    Churn after that.

I don't think you'll see as much separation between the 1 seed and the rest of the pack.  OKC was ahead of #2 by what, 14 games?  2-6 were pretty glommed up. I think 1-3 will be family close and then you'll have the 4-8 teams.  That makes that #1 seed very valuable.  Say OKC is #1 and they wouldn't have to play either Denver or Houston until the WCF and then only one of them.

ESPN 30 for 30 executive is licking his chops. i dont get it. making 72K a game, how do you have debt that can be basically paid off in 1 half?

He might have owed money to the wrong people, if you get my drift.

Didn't realize he was playing through something like that.

    He's a bad man.

Rest of the West needs to run these kids down.

I'm no basketball savant (obviously) but the first time I saw him play in person, I'm like "How the fuck did he fall to 12 in the draft?"  Instant NBA body, huge wingspan, three level scorer, solid on defense (later became great).  He's basically Pippen or Kawhi.

If I were an OKC fan, I'd take the title and laugh my way through the off season. People call the Rangers run a few years back a fluke. Doesn't bother me a bit, flags fly forever. I actually think OKC is extremely likable outside of Dort being a dirty player who is white knighted by OKC fans under the guise of being an agressive player.

I know I'm the only one here who watched the parade but the actual parade itself was about an hour and a half of pure joy.  Something like 600K people showed up and the players got out and walked most of the way and interacted with the fans.  This was my favorite:

I've been thinking about it and I think I lean towards OKC still pulling it out but there's no way to know.

OKC was extremely deserving of the title this season. They may lose in 7 if Hali's Achilles holds but they went through a bunch of teams that weren't there by accident or missing players due to injury or what have you like you could say about some other runs (*cough* Golden State 2015).

As dysfunctional as Denver was this year Jokic is still by far the best player on the planet and that was a really good team they got through. That Minny team isn’t a fucking joke, either.

I'm just not a fan of them or how they play and was pretty devastated the way that Haliburton went down but this is why we watch. We'll see if someone can take them out next season. A Houston/OKC WCF would be fucking epic (think the Spurs are a year away from anything like that).

There in the arena, there was a weird vibe after Halliburton went down.  Literally everyone knew he was done, even without the benefit of instant replay.  I thought they'd get blown out after that but Indy played hard and played well.  OKC was kind of taken off guard but they came out in the 3rd dialed in.  I think had he stayed healthy, it's still 50/50.  Indy was a much better team than I thought.  Two legit stars and the other guys are well rounded and pretty good.  If McConnell were 6'4", he's be a motherfucker.  Dude can play.  Indy was the best team OKC played by far.  They beat Denver and they'd beat Minny by a wide margin.  Denver was not a "great" team but Jokic is a fucking load.  They just had no one after their top 3.

Sucks about Halli, though.  Indy would be the odds on East favorite next season otherwise.

A side note, the Pacer fans were great.  I managed to go to 3 Finals games in OKC and the visiting fans were friendly, knew the game, and were generally awesome.  They also said OKC fans were the friendliest they'd encountered but one guy said "We're in the East with Boston, NY, and Philly and they're a bunch of assholes."

I was a great series between two small market teams who really care about basketball.
