Yeah, I rally like that color. Maybe in the Players series MIM someday. I think I'm done buying USA Teles for a few years, unless something really unexpected comes along.

There is nothing wrong with any of the Teles above the MIM Standard series. Can't speak to the replacements for the Standards they just released, but that butterscotch has a nicer color to it than most I've seen.

"And in a matter of six months we've inked every top recruit we locked on in blood."

Somebody want to tell this sheep cum dumpster that the  NSDs aren't for about five and seven more months and that A&M hasn't inked anybody yet?

Just means they've tattooed those recruits names on their junk.

  3. Some of the solid colors look fantastic with binding. Fender only seems to like to offer them on their Custom Shop stuff, though. If they made a range of affordable 60's Teles with solid colors and binding, i would probably buy more than one. Fender Japan puts 'em out, I don't know why we can't get them here.

Early 70's, built ramps in street with cinder blocks and plywood. We use to cut front forks from old bikes and jam them on the front forks of our Huffy's to make "choppers".

One day I went over the ramp and the "chopper" forks came off, jammed the front of the bike into the asphalt and my nuts on the handlebar cross member. All I could do was crawl over to the yard and cry. Fun times indeed!

One summer, a family at the end of the cul-de-sac had a load of dirt delivered in the street in front of their house. We built the sweetestt ramp out of it and would see how far we could jump our bikes. I took my metallic purple flake Schwinn with a banana seat off it and my front tire hit the curb, bending the fork under the bike. Parents wouldn't get me a new one until Christmas. Spent six months without a bike. Lesson was still not learned.

It's pretty universally accepted and has been for quite a while. There's still a couple of holdouts, mostly bird people that feel like birds evolving from dinosaurs makes birds less unique or special in some way. It's a weird pushback. There are still a couple of holdouts in paleontology, but they are retired and everyone pretty much accepts it.

UT folks accepted the birds from dinosaurs hypothesis faster, because Tim Rowe was a big proponent of it back in the 90's in his dinosaurs class and they've had some really high profile fossils get scanned on the high resolution CT scanner in the basement at the Jackson School. Julia Clarke, who is there now, has done a lot of really cool stuff on early birds and related dinosaurs.

Birds evolving from dinosaurs is getting decently well known by the public. The amazing fossils coming out of China have helped build public awareness quite a bit.

It would help a lot if the guys doing Jurassic Park gave any shits about getting the science even half-way accurate, but they don't, so that leaves occasional dinosaur articles and Dinosaur Train as our vehicles for getting the message out.

What a nightmare T. Rex sized grackles would be.
