  1. If the kids buy it then they deserve to be aggy's because they are performing aggy math.
  2. Well Sark after the Texas Tech game had already said they had to play tighter coverage to play well on defense. They did not do that this game and reverted to form. Was it the injury or is it a dysfunctional staff in which each coach is doing their own thing and failing to get in sync or is it PK or is it Sark not giving one guy all the power to succeed or fail. Whatever it is he is not getting his staff to stay on track with what he has publicly said several times this year that he wants to see happen. This is just the nth time he has said he is telling his staff to get what he wants done to happen because it is not happening.
  3. So you are saying Vegas sets the line in a way that the most popular side is the one that is most likely to lose. That way they make not just commission but actual money from a somewhat unbalanced set of bets.
  4. Ok I have never placed a bet in my life and know nothing but what I gather from the article below is that it does not matter if the favored team covers or the underdog covers it only matters if the popular bet hits or if the big money bets hit since that is how a sports book loses money. Do I understand it correctly? https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/sports-columns/todd-dewey/bloodbath-for-sportsbooks-as-nfl-betting-favorites-dominate-2461879/
  5. Hey look playing that far off the receivers also leads to first downs and TDs in the NFL.
  6. One more difference is that Sark could have yelled out we are going to X and that corner could still not cover him with that move X made.
  7. I felt better about this game before the TCU loss. They always wilt in the big game now it is just a regular game. Like others I expected the standard -3 home advantage.
  8. The slant has been there since the Alabama game when they adjusted to it in the second half. We are still waiting for our staff to react.
  9. Is it OK to bitch before every defensive play on 3rd and 4th down when they need 2 to 5 yards and they are letting every receiver come off the line with a 10 yard cushion? If not then to bad if you sat in front of me yesterday because I was bitching about it. (Note: I will try to keep it inside in the future after you highlighted it is a beating for others.) I called it a hangover win and I am happy to have it. A win is a win is a win especially if it leads to running the table. Sark and the players did a great job pulling it out. The problem is that disjointed defensive staff that keeps reverting to form even after Sark said in a presser that they play best when they play tighter coverage.
  10. We had a good time and thanks to @immamac for putting this together. @Tex48 , @MissingInAction and others it was nice to meet you. It was good to have conversations that were not all about differing opinions on the football team and instead getting to know fellow surly posters.
  11. Bru has done nothing for years and then he has the catch that sets it up. He will be remembered.
  12. Flipping channels back forth on these two games.
  13. What a sloppy game. Sark trying to be to cute on 4th down.
  14. Somebody on that thread responded
  15. Texas Tech does not look like a world beater yet we did not get it done and we should have beaten Bama. Tennessee has a good QB and unless Bama does him dirty, he will be hard to stop.
  16. a) Fans dealing with 10 to 12 years of negatively reinforced behavior patterns. b) Leaving the house up 15 points in the second quarter c) You are up 28 points sit down it is going to be OK d) Needing to cattle prod fans like @satyanash for "7 points wiped off the board in 2 plays" at 1:04 pm versus OU
  17. Oh no they are talking easy 10-3 record and the Houston Chronicle verifies it with their Saturday's Down South story predicting all SEC final regular season records. They are back on the Jimbo band wagon and next year. I should have known better after a moral victory weekend that there are no aggy tears to be had on Texags.
  18. Watched this video and I say it may apply to us too. NSIAP

    Rhule

Well Baker was a good college QB and everyone thinks Rhule is a very good college coach.
  20. The Oklahoma Breakdown said "Texas punked OU" that is where I stopped. Good enough for me as to how they are feeling. Google search of punked needs updating though. Fixed
  21. Against UTSA and WVU did Sark have to adjust to the other coaches adjustments? The answer is no he was able to beat those teams with what was on the sheet going into the game. Sark is very good to great at coming in with a plan. At TT he said the defense did not play tight enough coverage like in earlier games. He had to watch tape to make that conclusion and fix it for the next game while most on this board could see it during the game. As head coach he should have seen it in game walked over to his defensive coaches and told to fix it during the game. This is the type of test Sark has failed at which is in game adjustments.
  22. Reminds me of ESPN Getup where the only two valid opinions are the world is ending or the world is an eden. We beat a poorly coached team with a very good QB and the coaches have shown they are not going back to last year. I will rejoice in this all year but there is no way Sark has shown us enough of a turn around from his incompetence at Teas Tech to being the answer after two games. We are all rooting for him to somehow become a coach that can make adjustments when challenged. So far he has failed that test every time.
