This is what I think. Although if your inside is warm, the pipe won't ice past a certain point. But, while most of the time a pipe bursts because of water pressure expansion caused by an ice block, sometimes ice can simply burst a pipe right there. Not sure how long/what conditions this occurs, but I don't want to find out if i can help it. Which is why I'm having so much fun in the 21° weather bent over a spigot with a blow dryer like some gay plumber.
I’m doing the same thing right now. Two outdoor spigots frozen. Inside fully functional. Just trying to mitigate ice growth but not sure at this point heating the outside does much. I’ll keep at it for 10 .... FUCK YES after 10 mins it unfroze !!!

I’ve seen that and I still have the same question - while he’s right green renewable is incapable of solving the problem - he doesn’t really propose one. His micro environmental solutions (clean water and clean air) are spot on he still has no answer for global climate change.

EMERGENCY UPDATE: The length of controlled outages have been significantly extended due to the current emergency grid conditions and severe cold weather. These outages are taking place across the service territory and ERCOT has said they could be required through Tuesday. We are asking all Oncor customers to be prepared to be without power for an extended period of time. In addition, we are responding to separate outages caused by the record-breaking winter storm that continues to impact our entire service territory. Customers do not need to report their outages at this time. We are doing everything possible to respond to each of these power emergency events. We remain in close coordination with ERCOT and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we do all we can to protect the integrity of the Texas grid.
Oncor message
Uh national map of outages shows the Texas grid has no integrity, too late oncor and Ercot and the rest of you sumbitches.

FIFY. I would find a hotel with power now. Once it starts to get dark & colder, hotel rooms will be going fast. I assume many people are holding out for hope that the power comes back but there is no indication that is the case.
This this this.

It’s a Tesla so hopefully the battery will keep me warm.
Heater is the biggest battery drain on a Tesla after plain driving.

Seeing skylines lit up is just infuriating. Residential towers fine but office buildings and decorative lights? The state needs to have a legit power conservation plan with enforcement provisions for this kind of stuff, it’s not like summer heat and rolling blackouts aren’t a thing. I get polar vortex, but planning for these extremes unlike expanding capacity for such events should doable. From wheels to Adler to Ercot, just dumb. Accountability needed.

So power has been out for 7 hours now. I assume that’s not part of the rolling blackout right? I haven’t seen anything from the COA about what’s happening
Mayor Adler was on CBS news and said he didn’t know what was going on but was going to try and find out. He gotta go.

Is Bimini out of the question?
This time I think so, next time may involve crossing the Gulf Stream.

I love wine but I got so irritated with the blockers and gatekeepers the ones that make you feel uncomfortable about it, I hate wine snobs, complicated hobbies need to be more accessible, same with boating. I decided long time ago to hell with them. I don’t know shit? I’m still sticking around because I want to learn. you have no boat but you want one. You belong. And yeah never ridden on a scout never considered buying one. I don’t know if they are good. I’d find out the leaders for the type of boat you want and find the price range you can afford. Btw I make tons of fun of those Rivas because with $700k I’m reaching for a sea vessel, but yeah they are smoking hot.

I was going to make a witty comment here about other boats that cost $715k, but I don’t have my associates degree in boating yet, so I refrained.
what the heck do you think I have? I'm definitely last chance u here. but I have a "12 seater" surf boat almost the same length as that riva that costs 1/7th the price. so I feel like I'm a rock star genius rolling up to shack 512 for their pimento burger on lake travis. shit bro, ritas on me!! who needs lake como and the lamborghini riva wooden boat cuz I'm a LT balla. lulz.

Happy to look. Just seeing this. Non-compete/nonsolicitation are the provisions to focus on unless it’s exec level then termination, severance etc. if equity is involved then vesting, termination rights, buy back, and tax matter too. rest of it matters but there is only so much you can do with confidentiality etc. most PE management teams are transactional meaning they’ll come after you if it makes sense, so assume they will enforce.

Last time I was in Valencia, we took the ferry over to Ibiza for a night before moving to next destination. True Story, my mother was the only one who made it to the clubs with me that night.
My mom is super religious and wants to tour the holy land as her dream vacation. I will probably send her with friends without us but I’d prefer to have her join us on a Greek isle vacation with Crete and Cyprus as part of it before moving over to Israel and dropping her off to meet friends there. I doubt she’d go clubbing with me and the girlfriend nor would she be too hip at the gay clubs on Mykonos but she’d appreciate the effort I’m sure.

even fuller disclosure...I hate to admit it but I effin love that show. but hey, what’s not to love?
When I was younger and less tuned into what luxury is I wanted to be a SF yacht boat captain out of Port A. This shit is in my blood, just want to do it with some cash not as the hired help. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, those fuckers will have 25 years on me by the time I start. Who’s the genius now troph?

The Cowboy Church

I get abortion and second amendment. I love guns. Love them. For lots of reasons. I think abortion is an awful decision. I think it can wreck your life. I think people should avoid it at all costs. I am pro choice though for reasons that have nothing to do with how damaging that decision can be. I love big trucks, I love the country, I love simple people who have the wisdom life brings unaffected by what others say you should say. My grandmother is this person, not even a high school education and yet one of the wisest women I’ve ever known. Woke culture can sometimes be a total beat down. I get it. I was also someone who attended southern Baptist churches growing up, I have family that attends cowboy church.
Guess what? We don’t talk anymore. Guess why? One hint... rainbows and unicorns.
Here the thing about racism. It’s urban, it’s suburban, it’s rural, it’s Christian, it’s non-Christian. It’s complicated. It’s not so much about what flag is on your truck - the one you drive to CC or the one you don’t to CC but do drive in the Trump parade. Although don’t get me wrong some people happily advertise their racism. That’s true. But more importantly, racism is institutional, systemic more than anything and no one person is responsible for that. And as for individual racism it’s really hard to see ourselves as such especially when we self select out from diverse groups for so many reasons. But in my experience my southern Baptist family and I don’t talk for a reason, I am not like them and that’s a problem for them. And because I am different I am ridiculed, insulted, and demeaned. I am exiled for my difference. That’s where racism grows, that’s where fear of others grows, that’s where discrimination of all types grows.
is your cowboy church like that? I can’t say. But my experience leads me to be scared of walking into a church like that. The statements of “come as you are and everyone is a sinner, it’s okay” don’t apply to me the way those statements apply to them in my experience. I’m an exception and am not welcome and I suspect others who aren’t the same as them will feel the same.
