I haven’t but I use kavinace which is about half the cost and has anxiety relief properties. It’s an amino acid supplement works on gaba receptors.

26 incher... rough day today, two boats, 4 thirteen year olds, 2 littles (shown here), 3 moms. Good start, turned windy and cold. Out boat caught 20+ with 12 keepers, the other boat had 1 keeper, no other catches a few lost ones too. Ouch. My boy here won $20 for the biggest catch. I just had my toes done the day before so next chance I get I’ll post a pic for Hollywood Colt. Coastal teal blue color, he’ll really like them for sure.

True Grit, the recent remake by the Cohen brothers, deserves solid consideration

I think they've blocked these email addresses. I made up a gmail address with no link back to me (no email address for recovery or phone number). verified and it was fine. I'll never check it again.

It’s not that I don’t like God, I do. It’s just that grandmother won’t stop talking about him 24/7

$25k retainer, and will bleed an estate dry. If she’s needed go for it but the number of zeros at stake needs to be well on your way to seven before calling her makes any sense. -
I worked at Lakeway the summers of 99 and 2000. We’d drop my bosses boat in the water at 6:45, fill the sacks and the cooler with any beer we found on the rent boats and head out as soon as we were closed. Go out of the marina, turn left and hug the cliff right past the boat ramp. We rode from 7:15 to 9:15. Saw a ton of sunsets and had some great times on that lake.
Man that’s exactly it. -

I think they are a viable option; you might have to plan out your usage and make reservations pretty far in advance, but its a way to potentially try boating and different types of boats before you commit to something. If there was a viable option where I'm at I probably would have tried it.
In my mind, a lot of the ROI of boat ownership has to do with the degree of barriers to utilization of the boat. Some folks that have a bad experience set themselves up for a bad experience by living a long drive from a busy boat ramp, storing their boat in a sub-optimal manner, only going out on holiday weekends, yelling at their wife while trailering, etc., and not doing any preventative maintenance. Then they decide to sell the boat after not using it for a couple/several years, and its a bad situation all around.
There’s so much truth in these two paragraphs. We did the boat club thing years ago and I liked it enough but too much planning and not enough time on the lake. If I remember right it was about $400/month but I could be wrong. The set up really didn’t work for me bc there was so little spontaneity allowed and no sunset use. But for a more casual user it can be good.
I think buying a boat and the cost associated with it can be a big commitment but for me it’s totally worth it when I walk in the door from work on a summer weeknight and ask my boys if they want to go out on the boat. No trailer, no ice chest, no long ass drive, just the boat keys a few bottles of water and we head over to the marina. People look at me like I’m crazy when I say I live in lakeway but almost no effort boating 3-4 times a week during the summer makes it completely worth it. And there’s zero chance I’d keep a boat and all of the expense if I was an hour from it living in town.
I’ll do holiday weekends bc that’s what friends want but I prefer warm weeknights and Friday afternoons. Lake Travis is almost completely empty and you can do what you want.

Warren comes across as tough and consumer and ordinary folk friendly. I think the people that typically vote dem but switched will like her. She’s basically a female version of Bernie.
-
Sanders, Warren & Trump are either all populists or speak populism in their speeches. That got trump elected and almost got sanders the nomination. I think populism and a backlash against white supremacy and sexism is what will bring the dems out to vote. Warren has it. A old white guy centrist dem doesn’t.

Horns play in CS next Tuesday. Anyone here brave enough to go? I'm thinking about rounding up some tickets.
I’m going, I think my gf who doesn’t care is going too. Already have tickets. Doc said no, something about having to work on Wednesday.

Trump won the EC by less than 100k votes speaking like Bernie on trade. Bernie would have won the election had he just flipped a few votes that seemed to flip to R on a populist message. EW can clean up in the Midwest as pro-Union and a populist. And if Americans want a twitter battle royale she’ll own Trump’s ass. I think she’s what Trump claimed to be, a real populist. I think she’ll play very well in the general.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about sensitivity. the ups, downs and the pain of being a highly sensitive person. don't get me wrong, I have a tough and resilient side and I don't think I could still be standing if I wasn't a tough bitch. but the cost of engaging seems so effing high sometimes. the first week of spring (so it felt) was great and now I'm settled back into a grind. went to the game last night, had a happy hour before that. I had a great weekend of hiking, tennis, on the lake, good food, cooper's smoked chicken in Llano, bluebonnets everywhere... I should be riding high. and instead, I sit here working early in the morning and feeling like I just don't want to engage with anyone and that the fight to get ahead, the fight to make a difference and the fight to keep my head uncluttered from negative, depressive or anxious thoughts is too much. when I smell the roses I wonder if others smell what I smell, but I'd give that up most days to have a clear and uncluttered mind.

Sandman, providing for a family is no small task. Is this all there is to life at middle age is a huge question and it weighs heavily. Please don’t discount that, because if you do you’re basically telling yourself to STFU and that ain’t gonna work and plus most of us carry that crushing weight of making ends meet as well. Good luck with the counselor!
