  1. Well Kareem and Wemby are aboth tall. Other than that their games could scarcely be more dissimilar.
  2. It won't happen because Golden State's schedule is cake the rest of the season compared to Houston (and GS owns the tiebreaker), but I would love to see the Rockets (who won tonight at OKC) knock GS out of the play-in.
  3. Don't look now but Houston is just 1.5 games back of Golden State for the 10 spot. And 9 of Golden State's final 13 games are on the road, including 1 at Houston.
  4. The Knicks are now 17-2 with a healthy OG in the lineup, holding teams to less than 90 points a game. Held Sacramento to 90something points last night. They are legit good and it's only a matter of time before they overtake the Cavs for the 3 spot in the East, thus avoiding Boston til the conference finals.
  5. From the Athletic on the Knicks: Shortly after the Knicks acquired OG Anunoby, they won 12 of their next 14 games before he suffered an elbow injury. The Knicks won their next three without their new forward before Jan-sanity was over and we saw the team crater due to other injuries. That elbow caused Anunoby to miss 18 straight games, during which New York went 8-10. Julius Randle also missed time with a dislocated shoulder while Jalen Brunson sat out a few games too. Anunoby returned to the lineup last night and provided a brilliant reminder why the Knicks took off upon acquiring him. New York (38-27, fourth in East) bludgeoned a battered 76ers team (36-29, seventh in East) with a 106-79 victory. It came one game after losing to Philadelphia 79-73. Is Anunoby really worth a 33-point scoring swing? No, that’s a little too simplified. But ... almost? We can’t ignore how good the Knicks have been with him playing. The Knicks were plus-28 with Anunoby on the floor and are plus-280 in his 15 team games this season. They outscore opponents by a ridiculous 25.8 points per 100 possessions with him on the floor but have a net rating of minus-3.6 points when he sits. That’s a gulf big enough to fit Madison Square Garden into. The Knicks were already good once Brunson came to town. With Anunoby in the lineup, they’re dominant. It’s enough to reasonably wonder if this team can get healthy enough to make the conference finals. Or can the Knicks find a way to upset the vaunted Celtics (51-14, first in East), should they get into a playoff matchup with them? It may sound ridiculous, but, when you break down just how good this team looks with Anunoby, the rest of the East should be worried about them.
  6. IF the season ended today, the West play-in games would be: 10 Golden State at 9 Lakers 8 Dallas at 7 Phoenix
  7. Cavs and Okoro shut Ant's water off tonight - 19 points on 26 FGAs.
  8. I find the refs have been notably sharp tonight. Eagle-eyed really...with the wisdom and impartiality of King Solomon.
  9. Tune in to see if he can make history.
  10. This season is quickly going off the rails. Oh well - another excuse to start drinking.
  11. This could be a problem for OKC in the playoffs.
  12. I don't think Lebron cares all that much about titles anymore either - he undoubtedly sees what the rest of us can see - that the Lakers are not a title contender so might as well just get as much money as he can and live the good life in LA.
