  1. Those RB’s are legit. Love just doesn’t like to get tackled and keeps going.
  2. Random recall incoming: Former Horns quarterback Shannon Kelly-Retton once said about Tony Jones and someone else (Metcalf maybe?) that you had to feel like you were overthrowing it to hit those guys in stride. Concepcion has had to wait on Reed’s throws twice when they would have been burner touchdowns in stride. If I’m Klein, I’m letting Reed and those receivers go after the DB’s until they stop it.
  3. Beuchele would be an upgrade, correct?
  4. That was a completion on the stat sheet, but geez…
  5. The one between Mays and Main building?
  6. I bought a collection of Alice In Chains tunes on CD. Still have a player in a vehicle and didn’t own any AiC until today. Should be a fun listen with their whole upbeat and starry eyed themes!
  7. They knock you out for the MRI?
  8. I’ve only met one person from Nepal. She was a former co-worker. Was with us maybe two years. She should probably just do voice over work because her voice was like silk and she had that Nepalese-British accent. She could tell you to take out the trash and you would find it to be lovely. She was gorgeous. And she might do well here but over there they don’t seem to age well. I guess it would be stressful living over there your whole life.
  9. Odds that Zuckerberg and Musk and whoever owns TikTok, and whoever runs WhatsApp, have filters set up to copy all those kinds of pics straight to a folder on their computers, just like you can filter emails to straight into a folder? I would say, as my son would say, it’s greater than a non-zero chance.
  10. Congrats on ripping the spine out of that cancer like Predator going after Arnold’s crew. Being so proactive and sticking to a strict plan for so many years afterwards has done well for you. It’s impressive and your doctors should be bringing you in to talk to other patients to give them a living example of hope. Great job.
  11. It’s complete anarchy in here.
  12. Dammit man. Sorry to hear this. It definitely can be harder when you know what to expect. Lymphoma scares me. My oncologist told me towards the end of my time getting scans “we have to stop at some point. We don’t want to give you lymphoma while trying to prove you don’t have colon cancer.” Having had radiation therapy, it will always be a risk in the future. Good luck to you. I hope they have some good news for you.
  13. Ever been to a Florida State game? In the 80’s and 90’s when they were on tv all the time, it was cool to hear the war chant in the background. When you go to a game, you realize that’s all they have. I’m not sure their band can play anything else except the war chant/tomahawk chop music. It’s terrible.
  14. The state officials union will always make sure the Mud Dawgs reach the Bourbon Bowl.
  15. I knew there was a python problem in the Everglades, but I didn’t know there was a Surrender Cobra problem in Gainesville.
  16. A shoe? Who throws a shoe? That hurts! I mean really! [/Austin Powers] Can someone throw me some of those green things from the WNBA games? [/future man]
  17. The offensive play calling by Kentucky on their last real drive, when it was still 27-20, was just dumb. I know they have a freshman backup in, but wow it was bad.
  18. Friend of mine had a tumor removed from his bladder on Thursday. He and his wife were right there with us to help when I got diagnosed and started treatment and surgeries and all that. I was pretty open with all of my friends and family about what was going on with me. They have been really quiet. They normally post lots of stuff on FB showing how wonderful their lives are and how everything is beaches and beers and biking and pool time and concerts. Not a word on FB yet, and that’s ok. It just tells me how hard they are taking it. They don’t have pathology results yet but the surgeon told them there would be more in store for them on this journey. They are already considering a second opinion at M.D. Anderson and they haven’t heard pathology yet, but that’s a good plan anyway. A co-worker went thru bladder cancer last year. Had his bladder removed and a new one made out of part of his stomach. It was rough. He was out a long time but he made it through. Fuck cancer in the goat ass.
  19. I just saw a Reel of someone asking a woman in Alabama what she would do if she won tonight. She said she would take 70 million and fire and buyout the Bama football coach, and also fire and buyout the AD.
  20. In ‘99 I went and saw Poison, Ratt, Great White (this is before the fire), and was supposed to see L.A. Guns but their bus broke down. I don’t care for Poison. Too cliche and bubble gum for me, and I hate C.C.’s vibrato. Hate it. But man, they put on a show. They killed it. Ratt was like I remembered from the 80’s. DeMartini shredded and was excellent on stage, Pearcy snag sang some lyrics and talked others. They were pretty good. Great White was really good. The last time I had seen them they were opening for Judas Priest in ‘84. But the people watching. Oh man, the people watching. It was excellent. Burned out looking 40 year olds with threadbare Union Jack sleeveless shirts from the Pyromania tour. Women in their 40’s who probably rocked the leather mini skirt back in the day, now a bit heavier but trying to squeeze into those same clothes. And then the strippers. 22 year old strippers, all in an big group, wearing not many clothes, all coming to see bands their parents played on the radio driving them to school, seeing the bands whose songs they now dance to for money. It was a fun night!
  21. Their drummer was Rod Morgenstein who played with Steve Morse Band and the Dixie Dregs. He would have to be good to hang with those guys, and he was.
  22. Guy that played guitar in my older brother’s band had discovered Pantera in ‘86 and loaned me their cassette of whatever album was out then. i remember a solo piece called Red Light Turning Blue or something. It ripped. Pantera ended up being a much different band than what I heard on that cassette.
