  1. Even worse, he was a QB at BYU back when they still aired it out a ton. His life depended on a good OL in front of him.
  2. Again, this is where this fanbase is. Crying about the announcers not being adoring fanboys and maybe saying something that ruffles feathers. Putting down the appearance of a middle-aged cancer survivor who is good at her job because she doesn’t look like one of the bubble-headed Barbie sideline reporters we see elsewhere. And we wonder why the team is soft.
  3. If you haven’t seen Come From Away, I recommend it very highly. Some theater buffs I know rank it above Les Mis. That’s pretty strong talk, but it is incredible. And the way they do the set changes using everything that’s already on stage without ever having a significant break in the action is surprising. It’s the story of all the planes that got diverted to Nova Scotia on 9/11. Someone made a musical out of that week that followed and it works well and teaches you some history along the way. Great show.
  4. Not familiar with that quote.
  5. You need to see Les Mis in person. From about halfway back in Orchestra, from a box on the side up close, and from the first five rows. Great but different experiences from all those views. Years ago I got two returned tickets at the last minute on the front row. Got an impromptu date and we headed to the show. I had a clean white handkerchief in my suit jacket pocket and was handing it to my date before the show started and told her “you’re going to need this later”. The lady next to me saw this and said “why are you giving her a handkerchief?” I asked her if she had seen the show before. She had not. I told her this was my 6th time. She Karen’d out on me and said “WELL, someone is a little obsessed!!” and didn’t talk to me again until after the show. As the cast is finishing One Day More and taking their curtain calls, I look over and she is just sobbing. I leaned over and said “You ready to see it five more times?” She nodded over and over and said yes thru her tears. It is great live. Maybe the best ever. Score, story, cast, costumes, stage/set with the giant turntable, ability to get so many emotions out of the crowd. Also, Eponine is a complete doll every time. Just great casting.

I’ve got tickets to Sunday and Tuesday in Fort Worth. Finding a hotel might be a trick since there is a World Cup event in Fort Worth that week.
  7. Hey, the guy that is giving me this opportunity drives a Corvette!
  8. It’s pretty glorious. Someone looked up her past. Tigerdroppings maybe? She was a former breastaraunt worker in BF Midland/Odessa and ended up catching a guy who worked at the company his smart and rich father owned. Man I bet Christmas and Thanksgiving were fun at their house after that.
  9. This has been making the rounds. Ouch. The internet doesn’t forget anything. Unless you are bad Marissa that said “I’m Sandbox, bitch!” at a brunch spot in Houston and somehow had that video scrubbed from just about everywhere.
  10. Facts like this are what make Nick Saban’s success even more unbelievable. Just ridiculous what he achieved and won’t ever be matched.
  11. Remember when whichever Dolphins coach got fired and Dan Campbell was named interim head coach? He immediately went with physical practices because he thought the team was soft. Also instituted Oklahoma drills. The team did not like it one bit. He didn’t succeed in Miami but that fire got him the Lions job. Time will tell if that ends up being a good plan but they were really good last year.
  12. Well now you just told him all the words to that song.
  13. GDGD looked like a moron until he finally quit trying to make Vince be something he wasn’t and just let him be Vince. We have seen that with other quarterbacks in college. Many times that is the difference between a good team and a great team. If you can get a generational talent at QB, you can let them make plays and look like a genius. Hell, look at Michael Vick. Or Tebow. Or JFF. Kingsbury got a head coaching gig out of being his OC for one year. I still don’t know how he was so terrible and Tech and ended up being an NFL head coach.
  14. Jimbo did the same thing. Thought he could do both. He caught lightning in a bottle with the crab legs thief and won a title at FSU. Turned that into a ridiculous contract at A&M and eventually the offense was terrible and he was forced to hire an OC. He hired freaking Bobby Petrino. Yeah, he’s a creep, but dude can coach offense. When Petrino left after Jimbo got fired, he said that he had been wracking his brain trying to learn all of Jimbo’s complex terminology and formations and processes, because Jimbo hired him to run Jimbo’s offense. He didn’t let Petrino go with what had made Petrino a known commodity in college football. Tell me Sark would be any different if CDC forced him to hire an OC.
  15. Username checks out?
  16. Yeah. Too bad we couldn’t land all-world running back Jonathan Gray. We could have won multiple titles with that kind of talent.

    See you there!
  18. And here is the problem. It’s the culture of the fanbase. It’s always someone else’s fault. It’s the refs. It’s everyone else cheating except for us. It’s never “we sucked for awhile at hiring good coaches and bringing in good players”.

They changed over time. There was a lot of good music put out after Moving Pictures. But I’m maybe a wee bit biased.
  22. That’s not how the song goes.
  23. Gawd. I bet it’s insane over there.
  24. Those guys that show up to an elderly or poor person’s house and mow and edge and weed-eat and shovel scrape. They do great stuff. it almost inspires me to go out and do yard work. Almost.
