  1. Brentwood, St Austin, St Louis, etc…. For K-8 grade is around $11k. They give away hundreds a of thousands in scholarships (which gets a lot easier when $10k is already covered). You really should go check it out. Adding… they won’t give scholarship money to the rich white kids, so you can rest easy.
  2. That’s fine. This thread, and my comments, are regarding Austin ISD School Consolidation. You want to talk about vouchers for Brownfield, go start a thread. Other states? Austin is a city. Austin has Montessori, charter, magnet, public, private, home, all-girl, etc….school options. Pick your preference.
  3. Wait, AISD is consolidating schools out in Midland and Alpine? I had no idea of their reach. There are many options in Austin for education and the voucher program will make that more accessible for more people. St Andrews is just 1 school.
  4. Really unfortunate that St Andrews is the only private school in Austin. And I’m sure they don’t offer scholarships. Sad state of affairs.
  5. There are only a few things sacred enough to override your personification (football, Christian man...). When your child gets sexually preyed on, its over. No one gets let off the hook for that. Prove me wrong.
  6. I notice you didn't mention gay as a adjective for these people in position of trust. Its not illegal/against policy for gay male coaches to be in boys locker rooms. In this case, the access seems like it might have been too tempting for him.
  7. I would wager that more than 90% of child sex abuse cases have some sort of digital record as part of the reporting/evidence. Photo, text, chat, email, etc.... Would be interesting to see statistics on this from pre/post ~2005.
  8. Not surprising, all of this is coming out on a bye week for the football team. No game tonight. The dad is not just the parent, but also a senior staff member and in the kids leadership chain. If he had any knowledge and didn't follow the school district policy of reporting to a T, there will be all kinds of Hell braking loose. This investigation is going to get good.
  9. Celina ISD parents packed an emergency school board meeting Thursday night after the arrest of middle school football coach and teacher Caleb Elliott, the son of longtime Celina head football coach Bill Elliott. According to a newly obtained arrest warrant, investigators say the 26-year-old recorded several boys in the locker room during school hours. The warrant states that 12 photos were recovered from Elliott's phone — all described as meeting the criteria of child pornography and showing young boys in various states of dress and undress. https://www.cbsnews.com/texas/news/celina-parents-react-teacher-coach-child-pornography-charge-emergency-board-meeting/
  10. UTSA was ranked too. Looks like 14 of 53 games against 2025 ranked opponents.
  11. Hopefully he doesn’t have Martha Stewart’s lawyer.
  12. Anyone selling their tailgate shares on the open market? $3.50?
  13. Bryan Hardeman?
  14. Mathews campus is terrible. Not a blade of grass anywhere on that block.
  15. Looks like a good turnout.
  16. Thank goodness we aren't playing Mississippi State this weekend.
  17. Not sure if any of yall know him personally. But thought this board would want to know…
  18. The bigger question is what fragrance of shampoo did they use and what was their sheet thread count?
  19. White basketball player from Westlake? I like the new/novel strategy!
  20. I think this is largely our issue. - Keegan has played in 2 Ryder Cups and has never been a vice captain/captain. - Luke Donald has played in 4 Ryder Cups, and has been a Vice Captain twice and a Captain twice. - For the US Team 12 players, they have a combined 26 Ryder Cup appearances (including 2025). - For the Europe Team 12 players they have a combined 42 Ryder Cup appearances (including 2025). There is a lot more experience and stability on the Europe side.
  21. I just assumed from his attitude in this 2023 Ryder Cup that he must play for LIV. Those guys are all money hungry and dont care about the good of the game. https://golf.com/news/patrick-cantlay-hatgate-ryder-cup-lacava-mcilroy/?srsltid=AfmBOooIBqEfwQrBrjWieeYkQSkBbN0qvyAK_bFYcLLbXpxN3YKrNbqn “Understand from several sources that the US team room is fractured, a split led predominantly by Patrick Cantlay,” wrote Sky Sports’ Jamie Weir on Twitter. “Cantlay believes players should be paid to participate in the Ryder Cup, and is demonstrating his frustration at not being paid by refusing to wear a team cap.” Weir added that Cantlay, the World No. 5, had “refused to attend the gala dinner earlier in the week” and, alongside good friend Xander Schauffele, “is sitting in a separate area of the team dressing room.” Weir also cited Cantlay and Schauffele as the duo who had pushed to keep Netflix cameras from the U.S. team room, too.
  22. Yep. The greedy, money hungry LIV players like Cantlay don't give a shit about playing for tradition and history are the problem. The Euros, all PGA Tour guys, played for free, for pride.
