    Seems they cut an aggy/sooner (keith ford, whom they signed a week ago, lol) to make room for Donta

    I could tell a good Keith Ford story but I probably shouldn’t.

    Let’s just say this.

    When he’s up against the boys in blue, he’s better than Baker Mayfield. A lot better.

    God bless those guys that tracked that asshole down, but last I checked---nobody stopped him before/during the mass murder in the church.  That's my point.  We have ways of running down murderers AFTER they pull shit like this and gunning them down and/or arresting them.  But for a state with so many all-star NRA members, we sure as shit seem to always late to the showdown.

    Well the Leg changed the law....you can carry in church unless they have a 30.06 or 30.07 notice posted (I think as of 9/1 but may be effective immediately)

  3. I found a few Eagle Rare yesterday for $30. I traded one for a case of Yuengling.

    Also I had a pour of Rock Hill Farm Single Barrel last night, it was quite good.

  4. If the D insists on proof of >.03THC the DA can send it to a lab and charge the lab testing fee to the D as restitution at trial.

    It’s a pain in the ass but the state can still prove their case. But many counties just don’t care and don’t prosecute minor amounts

    i can tell you around central Texas its

    Bexar = no

    Comal = most definitely will prosecute

    Hays = not really

    Caldwell = not really

    Guadalupe = not really

    Travis = no

    Williamson = not really

  5. Drinking some KCSB now that I found on sale for 40% off, I purchased three bottles. Pretty hot bourbon at 120 but I enjoy it.

    And I scored four 750ml bottles of Weller 12 at cost today. Good day, didn’t have to use my AK. That brings my inventory to 9.5 bottles.

  6. Just posting up to say thanks once again to @Spankytoes who got me in the game years ago on TOS.

    I just got back from 20 days in Europe. SAAver award from AUS-DFW-AMS (direct) at 57.5k in biz and DUB-DFW-AUS (direct) at 57.5k. Wasn't easy to get 4 DFW directs in biz done, but it got done due to some finagling, sheer determination to game the system and some luck. My kids loved the dreamliner. Then AMS-Marseille,  MRS-Caen, and CDG-DUB all on points. Hotels all over France on points. Dublin hotel on points. All I paid for was 3 days houseboat in Amsterdam, 2 days hotel in Bayeux, a rental car via Costco app (got bumped up to a Mercedes), and a first class train ride to Paris. It was a hell of a vacation.

    I tip my cap to you @Spankytoes

    I just looked up a random flight. DAL to LAX. 4694 points or $87 so 1.8 cents a point. I'm getting 8-9 cents a point when redeeming through United or transferring to Hyatt or Marriott. So I think it depends on your end goal. I redeemed a flight from DFW to NRT at about 7 cents a point so I'd rather pay cash for southwest flights and earn points through the CSR rather than redeeming at a lower rate.

    Bro....you hitting the sauce?

    I know this is a very late reply BUT I would never use UR points for SWA flights. Get the SWA card and earn miles through your spending on that card. With UR points you will lose a lot of value by wasting them on southwest flights.

    This is terrible advice.

    I transfer UR points to SWA all the time.

    I earn points at 2-5x on Chase cards and then transfer. Coupled with my companion pass, we travel the US free whenever we want.

    Why would you want to accumulate 1x points on the SWA card when you can multiply and transfer?

    There are only 2 reasons to use a SWA Chase card:

    1. to run the CP scam

    2. you fly SWA for business frequently

  9. Continued: we just spent Bastille day in Paris, and yesterday plus this morning. We ate some great meals and the girls drug me around to shop all over the city. Saw all the typical sights. Definitely my least favorite part of the European trip bender 2019. Payback for 2 days touring in Normandy I suppose.

    Today we are in Dublin. And I’m already a wee bit drunk.

    There's no LSU 2020 thread, so this will have to do.

    How many fights will be there be during the aggy @ LSU game this year?

    Depends on whether you count completely one-sided beatdowns as "fights".

    You can be sure Aggy will count them all as wins

  11. Continued: yesterday our tour guide took us out for a full day. And by full day I mean 9a-7p. Our guide Mike from Allied Victory Tours was amazing again. We saw the medic station set up at the church in Angoville au Plain, the hedgerow country, where a general died when a glider crashed (portrayed on SPR), Saint Marie du Mont, site of Brecourt Manor assault (BoB episode/Dick Winters) Utah Beach, Saint Mere Eglise, the guns at Longues Sur Mer, the mulberry harbor at Arromonches, the bridge at La Fiere (portrayed in SPR) the Purple Heart highway and probably five more stops. Our tour guide had an encyclopedic knowledge of WW2, I can’t recommend this guy enough. He was a gentlemen, super accommodating for any stops we wanted to make and extremely professional and he brought each place to life with detailed stories of those involved

    We ate dinner last night at La Rapiere, one of the best restaurants in the area. It was as outstanding as the reviews indicated

    Today we are on the train to Paris.

  12. Continued: after the Calanques tour we holed up to rest in an airport hotel in Marseille. After a two week bender campaign across the south of France, I needed to chill. This morning we flew to Caen. I found a tour guide who left Bayeux Shuttle, one of the top operations, and started his own company, Allied Victory Tours. The guy, Mike Van Den Dobbelsteen, is 5 star. Absolutely a consummate professional and has an encyclopedic knowledge of WW2. He picked us up from the airport and we went to Point du Hoc , Omaha and the American cemetery today. Tomorrow we have a full day with him for the 101st/82nd/Utah/hedgerow tour.
