It's all about winning a national championship for Ames. In her mind, she couldn't do it at Texas, so the next logical choice is...Creighton.

I will say there's a decent chance they play her at opposite like she did in club, and she'll probably get to serve. And she'll probably start without being pulled for Bunton or Harvey, or losing the job entirely. I'm still going to miss her being on the roster. She's a good player. But it was absurd to think she was going to transfer to Nebraska for any meaningful role.

She may get more PT so good for her, but she won't be winning a NC. I doubt she plays OH, she's not athletic enough. I don't think she'd even be as good as Molly who switched from MB to OH.

Well, it's opposite, not OH, but you get the gist. Yeah, same kind of thing Molly Phillips did. I would say Ames is as athletic as Phillips, although athleticism wasn't Phillips' calling card. Ames may stay at middle blocker, but Creighton has a reputation for moving their front row players around a bunch. I feel confident she's going to get more of a shot at opposite at Creighton than she ever would have at Texas. Especially since we're really short on bodies.

A lot of talk of Gaido being moved to middle blocker, but we'll see.

We were outbid for Auguste out of Florida. She's heading to Wisconsin. I can't recall a recruitment we've ever lost to Wisconsin before. The Badgers have 5 backup players in the portal.
