  1. I thought the episode was basically he was a great guy but a piece of shit when he started drinking or doing drugs which he unfortunately had issues with.  That plus anger issues and I guess you get Dark Side-Gentleman Chris Adams.

  2. All I have learned from flipping the news channels this afternoon.

CNN/BBC/MSNBC- Iran fired weapons at Israel and a war is breaking out.

Fox News- Iran fired weapons at Israel and it is all Joe Biden’s fault and if Trump was president none of this would have happened and the whole world would be filled with rainbows and unicorns.  Half the country watches that shit and nods along is what is so infuriating.

When's the last time this invisible God actually answered a pray. We should be so lucky. All up in everybody's business 2000 years ago then radio silence.

I prayed for the Vince Young 4th quarter scramble for the National Championship win against USC but then again, I prayed for Ewers to complete that pass at the end of the game against Washington this year.  Maybe this God guy doesn't really answer my prayers.

  4. I could use some help on a good location for an incentive trip I am hosting for 130 people next June.  My meeting planners for my company have given me to hotel choices in wine country.  One is Montage in Healdsburg and the other is Fairmont in Sonoma.  Thoughts on those 2 hotels?  Things for people to do in the area for those places for a Sunday to Thursday trip?  Montage seems like a really far drive from San Fran airport so that concerns me.  My other choice is the Ritz Carlton in Santa Barbara.  Thanks for any insight into this.

The SIL that put the trip together has us on a private excursion, which means smaller ship and not 300 of us. We did something like that in Nassau last year, snorkling, remote private beach, and looking at the turtles (can't swim with them anymore because a shark ate a tourist in 2022). We could move when we wanted and didn't have to snorkle with 100 people that were on the cruise sponsored excursion. A little more expensive, but worth it.

Been on 3 Alaskan cruises in the past 6 years or so.  For Juneau I would definitely recommend whale watching as it's right in the bay so not very far and you will see tons of whales and hopefully some even jump and shit.  I have booked through Gastineau Guiding company and they do a small group tour.  They have a deal where you do the whale watch and then take you to Mendenhall glacier for a hike.  The whale watching in Juneau is great because the same whales hang out there all summer so the tours can find them pretty easily.  For Skagway we did a helicopter to the glacier and went dog sledding.  It was expensive but one of those memorable excursions.  If you do that book the first one in the morning as the weather can cause stuff like that to cancel out.   Ketchikan kind of sucks and I think it rained all 3 times I stopped there.  The best part about the Alaskan cruise is if you go to glacier bay or Hubbard glacier.  Those days are pretty spectacular if you like checking out nature.

No voters that matter or most voters in general will ever see anything like this.  If Biden made a similar remark, it would be on Fox News 24 hours a day for the next 5 months with every single Republican politician parroting what Biden said 24/7 meaning half the country would think Biden is senile.  The right-wing Republican machine is unbelievably good at spreading misinformation or as intelligent people call it, lies.

Overall Dems seem to win the early vote. The GOP is now about picking the people who will be allowed to vote. It's not easy to flat out stop Dems from voting, so its going to be about making it difficult for them to vote in the manner they prefer to vote.

I know.  I was being sarcastic with that post.  It is infuriating to take something away that makes improves the voting experience because half the country are a bunch of dumb asses that vote for these pieces of shit.

Why would anybody want to end early voting?  I for one don't want to stand in line for hours on election day when I don't have to, and I still get my right to vote.  What is wrong with the Republican party?  What else will they get rid of?  Are abortions, contraception and LGBQT rights next?

  9. This Slorch guy is right. It’s the parents fault for the shitty public school system in Texas and not the Republican run state government of the last 20 plus years.  You know what else is the parents fault.  The Texas power grid failures.  If parents would do a better job then many of the good citizens of the state of Texas wouldn’t have frozen to death in their own homes a few years ago.  Have we started with the, “if we taught more bible and religion in public schools then that would solve all of our education problems” from anyone yet.  I can’t wait for that argument.

The previous paragraph was mostly sarcastic and fuck anybody that is too stupid to realize that the Republican politicians in Texas have fucked up what was once a great state.

  10. I was just invited to play at Whisper Rock in Scottsdale by one of the members so I'm trying to make that happen in April.  Then again, I may quit altogether as my game during the winter conditions (tight lies) has gone to shit.  I am dying with my short game which is causing me to shoot low 90's versus mid 80's and it's really pissing me off.  What a frustrating game.

"Misleading stories" is giving them too much grace. People like Britt are despicable, lying pieces of shit and need to be removed from the political arena with prejudice.

This right here.  I miss the good old days when a politician was caught in a lie they would have to apologize for it, maybe even lose their job over it.  Now if you flat out lie, nobody seems to care as long as it tells the narrative for your side.  Every news outlet in America should be calling her out on this and doing articles about it.  It should end up being called Rapegate or something but then again that could refer to dozens of Trump crimes so maybe a better name than that.  Rage inducing to me.

  13. Honest question and wondering if this should be its own thread but when the cunt from Alabama was asking if you are better off now or 4 years ago what is your answer?  For me I am better off now and I feel the country is also.  I am curious who on Surly was doing great 4 years ago and now Biden has ruined their life or maybe vice versa.  Or maybe you are better off or worse and it has nothing to do with who is president.

This Katie Britt chick is annoying as fuck. So much hate and fakeness in those eyes and smile.

That was a speech that could have been done by Tammy Faye Baker or any other televangelist.  It was like watching a bad actress.  I was waiting for the end of it for her to say please send me as much money as you can so I can give it to Jesus to save you.  The saddest thing about the speech is the people of this country are so dumb they watch that and believe her.

If his speechwriting team doesn't have him prepped with a handful of brutal responses to MTG heckling, they aren't doing their jobs.

Exactly.  First time she pipes up he should just say, “listen lady, I don’t come down to where you work and knock the dicks out of your mouth so would you shut the fuck up so I can do my job and finish this speech I’m giving for the American people”.

Flipping channels in the car for a couple of hours last night and during my 10-15 minutes that I was listening to Fox News channel - host or guest (not sure how) makes a general comment that Hunter Biden should testify before the committee in an open session. He was saying what is Hunter trying to hide by testifying in a closed sesson - to which I started to laugh because Hunter was asking to testify in on open session, he actually show up, unannounced, for an open session and there were threats to arrest him on contempt for not coming to a closed session.
My question is who, on the committee, is so afraid to take Hunter Bidens testimony in an open session and/or what question is he being asked that members don't want the public to hear.

Well, since they are all a bunch of cucks they are probably asking him if he would use his big dong on their wives while they watch.
