  1. Bumping this thread that I started almost 5 years ago. I am ready to get rid of my Tesla Model S as the 5 year mark is coming up in a few months and I have put a whopping 28K miles on it in that time. I am ready to move to a SUV versus a sedan. Have been looking at the, I can't believe I am saying this, Cadillac Lyriq V. Any thoughts on getting a Caddy? I feel like I should be over 70 years old or something. I test drove one the other day and it is nicer inside than my Model S and drives very smooth. Fast also since it goes 0-60 in like 3 seconds which seems absurd for a 6000 pound car. I am worried about buying a GM product so those that have a GM product let me know your thoughts. Same goes for those that don't own one.
  2. Well, I am seeing posts on Facebook that say stuff like, "he is our martyr, our Jesus Christ". I find it interesting and sad that these people viewed Trumps failed assassination attempt and tried to make him like their new Jesus Christ. They so want Jesus to come down from the heavens they will kind of put anybody into that role at this point. They need their Jesus on earth. They need their martyr to spread their faith to the people that aren't Christians in this country. Religion is a hell of a drug.
  3. It’s funny because I don’t think of this as a buddy cop movie (I guess it is kind of but Murphy wasn’t a cop). I know it came later but Lethal Weapon seems like the buddy cop movie that defined that genre. How bout This is Spinal Tap for mockumenteries.
  4. Those numbers aren't real. The real numbers will be next year. Just you wait and see. Dear leader said so. Trump ahead of Friday jobs report: ‘Real numbers’ will be ‘a year from now’
  5. I know it's the RFK thread but the above statement needed correcting.
  6. I still expect this team to at worst lose 3 games and at best lose 2 games. I won't believe they can beat a top 5 team with Sark until I see it so that means Georgia is the only team left on our schedule we should lose to. I think that loss was more on Sark than Arch. Yeah, Arch missed way too many easy throws (the ones on the last drive were brutally bad) but he only had one interception and no fumbles. The pick he threw was on their 30-yard line or something so it's not like he turned it over and gave them amazing field position. We watched Ewers literally give the other team double digit points a game when he played bad. The entire game plan in the first half looked like a Greg Davis afraid to call explosive plays and settle for the punt strategy. Seemed like most of our runs were up the middle, no screens, no trickery, no motion, no gadget plays. It looked like a game plan for when you play Sam Houston State the week before you play OU or something like that. My biggest pet peeve with Sark is that no matter what he calls on first down (run or pass), if the play doesn't work and it is second and long, he will call a run play up the middle like 99% of the time. Even if that play gets 3 yards you are left with 3rd and long and that is why drives consistently stall. You can't expect to convert third downs all day long. Eventually you have to try and throw beyond the sticks or get some run plays that get you a first down on first or second down and that seems to be a struggle for the way Sark calls a game.
  7. We all know that if Obama or Biden were having the government take control over portions of private companies that Fox News and the Republicans would be saying what a great idea itis and how smart it is for the government to do so, right? Right?
  8. oops. How does 6-3 sound.
  9. You are both being so silly. We all know this will go to the Supreme Court where they will rule in a 5-3 decision that any state that gerrymanders their districts in favor of more Republican seats is legal and any state that does the same for Democrat seats is illegal. A few people on CNN and MSNBC will scream how horrible this is for a few days and then they will move on to the next thing Trump does like claim that all votes in all states for any Democrat are invalid and only votes for Republican candidates will officially be counted.
  10. Congrats to your kid but that shit is frustrating isn't it! I still don't have one, but my kid got one a few years ago when he was 17 years old on a 160-yard Par 3 on our course. That shit cost me like $500 to frame the ball, flag and scorecard. I was with my nephew last Thanksgiving, and he got his first hole in one and while I was excited for him, I was also pretty jealous.
  11. I own one also. The face is black, but this is the "new" root beer Rolex for the last 5 years or so. Great watch but since I have had it for a few years now I am getting the itch for something new.
  12. You don't hear that question asked because the news media is more interested in "will any of these other issues cause Trump's voters to not vote for him again for President". I have heard this on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc... over the last few weeks. Maybe I missed something, but shouldn't the media be pointing out that Trump is not allowed to run for a third term. It's like they are accepting it as the new normal. The Epstein issue seems to be losing steam in the media. More important things to talk about as the people of this country can't focus on the same subject for at a maximum a few weeks. We can now move on to Jack Smith, price of (pick an item on the shelf at the grocery store), Russia, Gaza, college sports, etc...
  13. Nah. We will see some ads about trans people or caravans or whatever the scary story is of the day and they will vote Republican like they have been trending and the state will stay Red and pick up 5 Red seats in congress. If the dems had stones they would tell TX to go for it and gerrymander the shit out of CA and NY and gain dozens of seats. One side is at war and the other is sitting back saying there is no way they would go to war with us.
  14. I posted about this about a year ago but one of my clients is a big Trumper, rich and great golfer. He has played behind Trump at some of his clubs and said you would see Trump drive a ball into the woods and then his caddy would drop one for him to hit in the middle of the fairway. Of course, while I think that makes him a cheating sack of shit, my customer just laughs it off.
  15. No they can’t and they won’t. He will get away with this just like everything else. In fact, I fully expect him to sign an executive order that legalizes rape of underage girls when the President does it. The Supreme Court will say that it is his right to do that and the Republican congress critters will say look over there at Joe Biden and his criminal enterprise and we have more important things to talk about like the economy. It’s what this country has become. Dumb and Evil.
  16. I think this could be the solution republicans go with to clear Trump if the Epstein files are released and he is listed flying with Epstein all the time.
  17. Yes. He should demand Coca Cola changes its name to Trumpa Cola and if they don't, he will arrest everyone that works there and put them in prison. I think this is normal for the United States.
  18. It seems strange to not be able to pull at Top 5 class when we have a lot going for us at this point. 2 straight years in the playoffs, NIL/$ like other top schools, in the SEC, Arch Manning Era about to begin, developing multiple NFL draft picks at numerous positions. You watch Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama pull in top 5 classes year after year, so I am surprised more kids aren't picking us. Not that we should get everyone, but Texas should be getting enough kids for a Top 5 class pretty easily every year at this point unless the wheels fall off the program.
  19. I don’t know about you guys but I’m starting to think that maybe Trump is a pedophile and rapist based on these reports. I know, it’s crazy to even think that’s a possibility. Just getting that feeling it could be true.
  20. All this talk about camp and all I can think of is this.
  21. This right here is the truth. It’s easy to say they are all racists just like it’s easy to say all democrats are woke or whatever. If we all take a step back we would see that the truth is in the gray areas of this. The manipulation of the population of this country by the media (Fox News and social media like Facebook), and the way the algorithms work to make sure people just see their bubble of news has affected non racist, intelligent people in a way we may not be happy to admit happened. I think the left gets this also but from maybe MSNBC or other media outlets that distort the world for them (not as bad as the right does but it is there). Many of the people of this country have lost the ability for critical thinking and that is what makes them so gullible to these news sites/social media sites. What is strange is many have the ability for critical thought in other aspects of their life, like their work, but lose it once they view the world outside through the lens of a Fox New broadcast.
  22. I don’t think I’ll ever get over Macho Grande.
