  1. I'd love to see a chart of the amount of tears on this thread about everything everyone is doing wrong pre and post January 20. The sandy vagina levels are up dramatically since January 20.
  2. I've definitely been in here advocating shutdowns and permanent mask wearing - you bullseyed that one!
  3. LOL. The last 20 pages of this thread have been nothing the same four to five of you crying about schools not being open. There's definitely some triggering happening here, but it ain't me. Cool little schtick you have going though.. say stupid shit, get called on it, claim the other side is triggered. That work on Facebook?
  4. Anyone here want to address the blatant hypocrisy that the politicians you support are spewing, saying that schools are absolutely critical but teachers aren't critical enough to be vaccinated already? Do you have any comments on this, or are you so far down the Fox News hole that your disdain for teachers and education doesn't allow you to see the problem here? @GRHorn @Cheeseweasel @Message Board User
  5. That's a useless data point, but you already knew that. That includes private expenditures which would include: - Private schools - Private tutoring - Materials and supplies outside of the school If you want to actually try to bring stats and have a serious discussion, you're going to need to do a couple of things: - Limit it to government spending - Look at median vs. average, because of course Barron Trump going to a 100k/year school is going to bring the average up despite the majority of the country receiving substandard education. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/sep/07/us-education-spending-finland-south-korea
  6. Nope. If schools weren't running on fumes from a funding perspective they'd have the money to put in ventilation systems and other measures to make it safer. If we hadn't gutted them to the point where there are 25-30 kids in every class the risk would be much lower. If a certain type of politician hadn't demonized the education system to the point where they are now locked into their political corner , they'd have already vaccinated all of our teachers and there wouldn't even be any issues.
  7. It's amazing how quickly Trump became irrelevant after the Twitter ban and moving out of his house.
  8. For decades the folks in here crying every day about schools have been voting to gut our education system. Now that they're not available to babysit their kids, they've come to Jesus and constantly bitch and moan about how critical the schools are. Oh no, the leopards ate my face! Who could have ever predicted this!
  9. Damn. What a dataset. It appears there's a pattern with countries that are well above their expected. Either third world or an authoritarian state. Oh, and us.
  10. Gunite got shot today. Starting to look like a pool. Trying to stay chill knowing were still 6-8 weeks out from swimming but the hard part is done.
  11. I'm not opposed to opening schools. But it's amazing that our politicians can sit here and say that getting kids back in schools is essential and is worth the risk and at the same time refuse to allow teachers to get vaccinated as part of the 1A rollout. What an absolute dick move. "You're super essential and we MUST get kids back in school, but not essential enough for us to take steps to protect you". Unreal.
  12. If we see another spike it'll be high cases low deaths, relatively speaking. The shutdowns are a torque wrench set to loosen at this point. They won't be tightening again imo. Nobody, not even people like me who have been pretty cautious, is going to tolerate shutting down again without risk of hospitals being overwhelmed.
  13. But not within 500 yards of a school am I right?!
  14. I have a serious outdoor pissing conundrum. Our back patio is concrete about 5 feet above the yard in places. I put in a metal fence enclosing the whole thing with childproof gates so my kids don't yeet off the side and hurt themselves. The fence is right at junk-level. So I either have to squat and pee below the top rail or lay it out on top of the rail which is kinda gross and when it's cold.. you know. Gonna need to come up with some sort of redneck engineering.
  15. Definitely valid concerns, especially because each dose J&J misses will be a one person shortfall vs. Moderna and Pfizer being half a person short. My math showed Texas slightly ahead of the national average for vaccines administered vs. adult population. We're also near the top of percentage of allocated actually in arms. Not necessarily one of the best, but we're doing alright.
  16. Got damn. Your land alone makes you surly 1%. What a score.
  17. Sure there is, you just have to be a fucking idiot who gets manipulated and owned by rich people running the class warfare distraction playbook that has worked on poor white trash for a hundred-plus years.
  18. It's not that you lied, it's that you seem incapable fitting more than one facet of any particular issue into your brain.
  19. That Circle drive area is bad ass. One of my good friends from high school grew up off of Circle drive on a bunch of acres with horses and a pool and a guest house. Now those apartments look right down onto their pool. Kind of a bummer. They've gotten some ridiculous, life changing offers on their property but they are old hippies and don't care. I forget the name but there's that ultra dive bar right down the road where they don't even have a liquor license but will sell you a setup. Is that still there? I got very drunk there more times than I'm comfortable admitting.
  20. I like how you just pretended this part didn't exist: The Japan healthcare system is one of the world’s finest. In fact, Japanese citizens have a longer life expectancy than anyone else. The system puts a high priority on preventative care. It also offers free screening tests for certain illnesses, as well as superb prenatal programs. You just keep ramming your head into the wall that is surly thinking that eventually the logic and terrible flawed arguments that impress your idiot hillbilly Facebook friends are going to start working here.
  21. This guy has his priorities figured out.
