  1. I highly doubt any current Texas player or coach is motivated by what happened in a game 14 years ago. Maybe Sam Ehlinger if he was still on the team. But wow if a team won its conference and beat three other P5 conference champs in the same season!
  2. Houston fan says fuck the Browns for winning again and worsening the owed draft pick, but also LOL that they win 11+ games without the handjob masseuse QB they paid 3 first rounders and $45m/year for.
  3. Early in the Mayo Bowl, they threw up a graphic that Mack was one bowl win away from being top 5 and tying Bear Bryant. That’s the kind of shit Mack would point to and defend a narrative that he is some great X’s and O’s coach, just like his run of 10 win seasons. I laughed throughout the 4th quarter whenever the camera panned to him and his bitter and bewildered mug.
  4. We have 6 and 4 yr olds and hope(d) to keep it going a few more years, then just all keep pretending indefinitely without any conversation 😂 This December, a kid of non-Christian religion in my 6 yr old’s first grade class took it upon himself to lecture the entire class at lunch on the issue, and likely regurgitated what his mother told him due to use of words. My son came back and repeated it to me, that “Christian parents enjoy lying to their kids to make themselves feel better, and they coordinate with Amazon to deliver presents on Christmas Eve. So it’s the Amazon delivery truck that comes while they sleep, not Santa Claus.” I laughed at the latter part, but wanted to call the bitch up and tell her fuck herself for the first part of that. It’s not her right or responsibility to educate the first grade class, and it also fucks with every family that has younger siblings. I told my kid only believers get loot from Santa, so he better keep believing.
  5. Who remembers the infamous Perriloux text to Martellus Bennett right before his hat pick announcement bullshit? “LSU HOLLA” Some say Bennett was going to put on the Horns hat until he got that text before coming on stage. Don’t care, got Jermichael Finley instead who isn’t a shithead.
  6. Buckle your helmet tighter, numbnuts
  7. How does the franchise recover? They probably will finish with a winning record this season, which nobody predicted. Might as well write off Demeco for dead.
  8. I may be the only member, but I’ve been in the “Nico Collins kinda sucks” camp since his rookie preseason. This year he’s finally had some decent statistical games, but he’s made few “wow” plays, he struggles to get open, and does low IQ shit like running into the back of his blocker on that last WR screen. Houston needs another WR to pair with Tank next year.
  9. Could’ve happened to anyone, but seems funnier when it is Wemby or Chet
  10. Mack was a stupid piece of shit, especially when it came to QB recruitment. He FAFO with the likes of Ryan Perriloux and John Brantley and was left with his butter stained dick in his hand. He picked Tyrone Swoopes (who went like 1-10 as a senior at a 2A school) over JT Barrett. We got the Case McCoy, Connor Wood, Connor Brewer, etc. train (pleasant surprise was the brief glimmer of David Ash) when we could have got at least one or maybe all of RG3, Luck, and Manziel as you said. Pairing that with OL recruiting based on the “good kids from good families” dogma and you get the 2010’s decade of Texas football.
  11. No I’m saying I wouldn’t have drafted Thompson in 2023 since Jalen has shitty shooting on lockdown already. Houston played the game of lotteries and lost. I would’ve traded the #4 pick or taken someone who wasn’t a G-league project.
  12. Yeah. But in real time this past draft and sense, it confused my pea brain that we drafted a freaky athletic guard who can’t shoot when we already a great one of those in Jalen.
  13. After the seasons of John Wall-assisted tanking for top picks, if I could only keep 3 it would probably be the later picks Sengun (obviously), Eason, and Whitmore whose picks had nothing to do with tanking.
  14. Earlier, like by at least 1999 if not 1998 when he got here. He really thought he was bigger than the program and resented anyone who second guess him, his shitty assistants, or how tight he became in close games or against OU. I would’ve been fine with his firing at any point between 2002 and when he eventually left. It’s not like VY would’ve been mediocre with a different HC and OC.
  15. Thread title is appropriate. Nobody put a gun to their head to sign the GoR to ACC through 2036. Enjoy your next 13 years with Boston College, NC State, GT, and some basketball schools. Would bring more lolz if UNC and Miami were accepted by SEC.
  16. HAHAHAHAHA Fuck you Amy Adams SeaSkunk and double fuck you to Bud Adams and the dead raccoon who lived on his head.
  17. This game made me reflect on the 2022 draft. It looked like the Jets whipped Caserio’s ass that night, but you have to wait and see. After nearly two full seasons, it still seems like the Jets kicked his ass. Original picks in first 3 rounds: HOU - #3, #13 (from Browns/Watson), #37, #68, #75 (Browns) (4345 Jimmy Johnson points) NYJ - #4, #10 (from SEA/Adams), #35, #38 (from Carolina/Darnold), #69 (4415 Jimmy Johnson points, pretty comparable) Ended up with: HOU - #3 Stingley, #15 Kenyon Green, #37 Pitre, #44 John Metchie, #75 Christian Harris and net lost a fourth and gained a fifth round pick NYJ - #4 Sauce, #10 Garrett Wilson, #26 Jermaine Johnson, #36 Breece Hall, #101 TE Jeremy Ruckert and lost 2 fifths Oof
  18. Texans have been without a WR1 since they traded Hopkins. Cooks is a #2, Woods was a #2 but lost a step or three. Nico has had a few good games, but he’s had many more disappointing no-show games and is a #3 type. Noah Brown has had some games too and would be a respectable WR4, even pushing Nico for WR3 (especially if Nico thinks he should get paid in a year). Tank has been awesome and could be a badass #2 in the Reggie Wayne role, but we need to go get a Marvin Harrison type WR1. Schultz was great when healthy. Great value on a one year deal. If you are an Astros/analytics fan, you have to question the wisdom of handing out a multi-year contract near the top of his position pay to a TE though. I guess if the plan is go all-in during the next 4 years of Stroud’s rookie deal (5 more years if they franchise tag him rather than extend him early, which won’t happen), then you go Rams style and grab (overpay) as many playmakers at WR, TE, DL, and DB as possible. The cycle keeps repeating with most star QBs. Draft a star QB, if you have a very good team around him you can go to the Super Bowl. Once he gets into his $50m/yr contract, the talent surrounding him drops and the team is less competitive. Cowboys lost a lot of players after Dak’s extension and had a dip. Chiefs had to lose Tyreek and defense players, and they are all on Mahomes’s shoulders with a fighter’s chance. The Bills are starting to decay. Bengals and Chargers are approaching that time as their young QBs’ contracts start impacting the cap. We’ll see how the Eagles do, since they seem to have drafted well plus had extra picks from good trades. That is not an advantage for the Texans, who burned #1’s on Stingley and hurt aggy, then overpaid AZ for Anderson’s pick. They need to hit on their picks and free agent signings if they want to win playoff games, and my faith in Caserio is still low. Demeco and staff have been mostly awesome though
  19. People who realize Neil Armstrong never went to Mars?
  20. Mack Brown? I understand the theory, but can’t recall an instance where that worked but almost always goes wrong. Especially with Navy’s shit offense, I wouldn’t put money on them getting it at least once out of two attempts.
  21. So where is the line drawn? There aren’t an infinite number of colors, and there are many examples of teams having the same color combos (Jets and (old) Eagles, Patriots/Texans, Iowa/Steelers, ND St./Packers), or where they share the same logo (Georgia/Grambling/Packers, LA/CSU Rams, A&M/80s Hawaii, etc.). I assume this was a warning shot at the Texans for announcing they are changing their color scheme to “H-town Blue” next year after the Adams family’s long time refusal to give/sell the Oilers rights back to a franchise in Houston out of their cunty spite at politicians long gone.
