QB1 Arch Manning: Elite or Incomplete?
Ridiculous statement that competent starters in High School drop that dime. They may make the throws that got buried on wide open players, but not that one. Save the drama for effect. -

Trump’s America
Yeah, the phrase "good communicator" doesn't sit right with me, because, particularly in his current state, he's not a good communicator in terms of delivering information. He's good at driving attention and engagement. "Any attention is good attention." I suppose that, too, is a form of information. I saw a piece dissecting the effectiveness of the Newsom trolls. One theory is that the cultists "know" Trump's rambling is insane and that it's coming from a librul parodist forces them to confront that knowledge.- 1

Trump’s America
The Ezra Klein show had some gen zer on who called him the first algorithm president or something like that. That stuck with me. It’s not that he’s a good communicator. It’s just that what he says is the shit that drives engagement. It’s controversial and elicits a response or reaction. And like the algorithm, there’s just a continuous spewing of content to the point that ‘nothing sticks’. Endless new content that blocks the impact of any old content. Maybe instead of call him a good communicator we just call him a man of his time. There are a lot of soulless humans out there. Hell the GOP is a party full of them. But it took a special narcissist reality TV grifter to completely embody all the rot of social media to the point where we were almost powerless to his ‘charm.’- 1

The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread
Yeah, there's a great deal of confusion between the business "ethic" (ha) of shareholder primacy and fiduciary duty. So much so that greedhead corporate lawyers like Marty Lipton and Skadden have to write articles reminding people that Friedman Doctrine isn't the law and that even "public benefit" corporations don't need a special statute (although there is one in Delaware and elsewhere). https://www.skadden.com/insights/publications/2019/08/putting-to-rest-the-debate https://corpgov.law.harvard.edu/2024/05/07/stakeholder-governance-and-the-eclipse-of-shareholder-primacy/
