Usually, you can empty a load all at once if you hold on to the pigtails. Approximately once a month it’s inoperable and cranky but it still sucks.22 points

The tone and treatment they extend to their Central European partners versus how they have talked to and treated Russians is also all out of whack with economics as well. Germany’s trade with Poland and Czech Republic— as individual countries— is more than their trade with Russia. Tiny Slovakia alone turns over more than half of German-Russian trade. These nations are condescended to and smirked at and treated like burdens to Germany and the EU and yet they are Germany’s workshop and Germany’s storefront. https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Economy/Foreign-Trade/Tables/order-rank-germany-trading-partners.pdf?__blob=publicationFile Granted, Russia provides a vital natural resource but that’s still not explanatory enough. Germany has chased the unicorn of Russian-Euro integration for decades while looking down their noses and dismissing the concerns of the incredibly reliable and profitable partners they already have.15 points

The idea that true freshmen will be our best OL at a couple of spots isn’t great, but if it ends up being true then it beats the alternative of signing OL recruits that are not already better than what we have and playing those guys again.7 points

Counterpoint: He had Putin’s blessing to put that out there, as a means to set up a military leader as a another scapegoat.7 points

Well the ‘shitty’ OL should have gotten us 8 or 9 wins last year if we had a QB who could throw a forward pass the second half of the season and a defense who didn’t give up 57 points to a 3rd string QB at home.7 points

This just isn't true. The offense if you take out only 2 explosive plays per game is one of the worst in the country. They were awful outside of the big play for the most part. K state was better offense without the explosive plays than they played pretty much all year except against tech. Looking at box scores and overall stats doesn't tell the real story and hides the warts. They aren't solid on offense, they are explosive, and explosive gets flukey and causes a lot of strain on the defense to play well.6 points

I think that the thread makes two valid points. First, the German "imperial" thinking isn't the reason for their stance, but it is the basic, background worldview from which their reasoning begins. They have viewed Eastern Europeans as being less competent for so long that it is ingrained into the German psyche much as the US views Mexico and Latin America. The economic considerations are informed and supported by this background belief. It makes German inaction more palatable to the German leaders and people. Second, it is a very good window into how Eastern Europeans see the German mind and reasoning. The conquered see the imperial in a much different way than the imperial see themselves, usually in ways that are difficult for the imperial to reconcile with their self-image.6 points

I can’t believe we let a manchild pretend to play President while he let his kids and in-laws run wild and take on roles they’re grossly grossly under qualified for. They then of course did everything the GQP accuses Hunter Biden of doing but to the fucking max, sold out classified shit, played politics with federal funds and god knows what else. But not a single fucking republican cares. Just fucking astonishing to me. We’ve let aggys take over the country6 points
