Can you imagine if all the best players just go to the highest bidders? There would be like 6 good teams that would just rotate going to the playoffs. That’s not the kind of CFB that I want to see.30 points

I’ve said it from day one - whoever has more Precambrian metamorphosed sedimentary rocks rich in iron ore is going to win this in the end.18 points

Wanted fajitas in Europe. I have a good butcher and picked up some skirt, but I had to slice it for fajitas myself at home. Marinade is lime juice, vegetable oil, garlic, cumin, ancho and regular chili powder, salt, pepper. I reserved some of the marinade to toss the vegetables for cooking. Slammed, went hard with fresh guacamole.10 points

That dude had 19 sacks last year. That would help make up for the loss of last year’s leader, Ben Davis (2.5).10 points

I've been crazy busy with work and our new house for the last several months. Barely hunted this fall but my son and I took a doe each for the freezer. Two weeks ago, I had to head to Kerrville to pick up a new BBQ pit and decided to stay the night at the ranch. It was incredibly dry and the 1" of rain we received last week up there was the first measurable rainfall since October. We have two cisterns on the property, so at least they're getting some water. We try to feed alfalfa during the spring as well, and we've ramped that up some. But, it was sad looking. Not a wildflower in site. Looked like the dead of winter. The whitetail I saw seemed frail and lethargic. We've seen more hogs than usual on the game cam, so I figured I'd climb in a stand and see what I could see for an evening hunt, then head out early the next morning back to work. About 7:30, this donkey walked out. Tipped out full velvet. 32" main beams and 15" brow tines. Thicc mass at the bases. 180 lbs with his snout resting in the gravel... my A-frame wasn't tall enough to get him completely off the ground. I was so ill-prepared. I didn't have an ice chest with me. Gutted and hung him in the walk-in cooler overnight then flung him in the bed of the truck first thing the next morning with two bags of ice in the body cavity. Ended up skinning and quartering him when I got home the next morning. Meat on ice and hide to the taxidermist by 11 AM. Not the morning I had planned, but made it work. Should be a really cool mount.10 points

You keep trying to spin this story, but the defense got worse when Lake became DC and then he tore down the program and was quickly fired as HC. Trying to say Lake is what made the defense work is just dumb. Plus PK had a lot of success before Lake was with him. Peterson, on the hand, is more like it. PK needs a HC who handles a lot of the other stuff for him and provides support. Sark still operates too much as just an OC, which is why our abysmal defense brought back all the same coaches and only added one transfer. If Sark had been able to bring in someone like Muschamp, who doesn’t need any help to run the defense, things would probably be going differently, but Sark couldn’t bring him in and didn’t recognize he needed a DC who could operate everything on his own so here we are.10 points

This board started out as a buncha coach-hiring consultants. We pivoted to virologists and then supply chain experts. Once we solved those problems, we moved on to geopolitics and now we're calling in airstrikes. All from our sofas. Man, is there ANYTHING we can't do?9 points

Why would we want a 6'4" LB who takes proper pursuit angles and finishes tackles when there are still WRs in the portal?8 points

Not that they need advice from a 60 yo Marine 60mm mortarman, but I would use those US MLRS systems with the 300 mile range to drop every Russian rail bridge and destroy every Russian port facility that I could reach. I would especially go after wherever they're reloading the ships and subs, preferably while they are quayside. Next on my list would be Russian ammo and fuel depots in Ukraine and nearby Russia and command and control centers. Stop the flow of supplies, then destroy what Russia has on hand. Oh, and if those missiles can be used on ships at sea, so much the better. Pop them, too.7 points

Murphy, Worthy, Collins, Sweat, Crawford, Barron and Blue have been recruited by other squads this spring. Some harder than others. Worthy was paid handsomely to ensure he will continue to be a part of the program. He was the guy recruited the hardest followed by Collins and Murphy. There are programs that think Murphy could be a game changer and some that think they could better use Collins. A Big 12 team wanted Sweat pretty bad. The coaches are aware of all of this.7 points

Happened to the Episcopal Church about 15 years ago, with several churches breaking away to join the global Anglican Church. They said it wasn’t about the gays, which means it was about the gays.7 points

Other posters are disemboweling your attempt to smear the defense of Ukraine by means of footnote (*they're Nazis! Clutch pearls!) If your pals the Russians invaded the US, I'd welcome every neo-Nazi group in America to join in the fight to expel them. If I were drowning and a neo-Nazi tossed me a line, I'd take it and thank him/her. I've joined in negging you. You're an incompetent amateur operative, but that's no cause for sympathy. Don't choke on the pearl necklace you clutch so righteously.7 points
