  1. And do you like seeing captured Russian shit? Because the Finns do. Stuff captured in the Winter War. The top flag was the 44th Soviet division’s, but they didn’t need it anymore, because the Finns annihilated them. And, the stuff of Russian nightmares, the gear of Simo Hayha: And to keep those nightmares up to date, the modern Finnish kit - of course they have a standard issue sniper rifle rated to 800 meters (dude…we all know that means 1000+). Check out the M/85: Sweet dreams, comrades.

  2. Tarp buried a good one in this thread (highlighted in the last screenshot) ... 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 (Context - Tarp and Karen sniping at each other, about the Spring Game. Tarp thinks Weigman's low comp % is a sign of problems, and that they should rep the new scheme/plays in the game. KKL pretty much disagrees with the need for Tarp's continued existence.)

  3. I'm really tired of your constant attacks against Twice, who always provides very good legal analysis. The result of that analysis isn't based on what Twice wishes to be true. Your argument is exactly like when Trumpers condemn scientists for explaining how things like global warming and vaccines work. You're generally a good poster. You need to get over this stupid vendetta. Because, it is extremely stupid and unbecoming of you.

  6. I asked ChatGPT to describe the aggies as if it were Rod Serling introducing a Twilight Zone episode. Nailed it. "Imagine, if you will, traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of profound disappointment. A journey into a wretched place where the sports teams are perpetually mediocre, and the hope of a championship is merely a mirage. A universe where the Texas Aggies reside. They are a team with an insatiable hunger for failure, a thirst for losing, and a penchant for disappointment. Their misguided belief that they belong among the top-ranked teams leads to another season of heartbreak and shattered dreams. In the Twilight Zone, there is a maroon-colored vortex, and it leads to College Station, Texas, where only shattered dreams and crushed spirits await. Beware the Aggies, for they will leave you with nothing but regret and sorrow."

  20. Yeah….they’re actually pretty matter-of-fact about it (seems to be a Finnish thing across the board). Realpolitik. Trapped between the Soviet Union and Germany, “defiant principles” weren’t really on the menu. “How can we survive?” was the order of the day. They own it. BUT…they’re also real deliberate about telling you that the swastika they used pre-dates the Nazis and was a traditional Finnish thing, but also, they quit using it as of 1945 because of those fucking Nazis.

I read this before I moved to Uzbekistan back in the early ‘teens and I recommend to anyone who wants to understand a bit about how the current Russian imperial mentality is not simply Soviet ideology in new trappings. Soviet ideology was just a culdesac branching off of Russian imperialism. Also, Kiplings Kim is a mind-boggling good read even if Kipling is officially on one of the periodic Out Of Favor downswings.
