Just before snap Should have been assignments: Gap is show immediately and you can see Mitchell gets a should on him but there is no way he could possibly get in front of him due to alignment of the defender. There is no reason gunner helm should be double teaming this linebacker. The play should be a 1 on 1 with the CB with mitchell working to the safety. ...

  9. I've seen it touched on multiple times in the magazines, ESPN, and XM84 - Dabo Swinney, that sly fella, went to Texas and stole the best QB in the state. A 5 STAR! Meanwhile, Klubnik "spurned" the in-state schools and went off to play for championships. None of those entities will ever understand that Texas never had a significant interest in the guy. He's a long-striding system QB overrated by the services. Only Westlake honks thought the guy was something special. Clemson had a good run. The transfer portal and NIL will be their undoing, and, frankly, they've always been cheating motherfuckers who didn't deserve the nice things they received. I hope they're trending towards spending the next 100 years wandering in the backwoods wilderness of the deep south. Fuck Swinney and that regime.

  10. That's not true. There was definitely a vote. It was $3 million to zero. The vote took place in Dan Patrick's bank account. It was not interfered with by any italian satellites or china with bamboo ballots and soy sauce on them or those two ladies in Atlanta who Rudy said were passing a USB drive back and forth with a million hidden votes. It was a clean, straightforward vote: money won. Justice lost. Have y'all not been paying attention? Oh, and I think it was also the wrong fucking call. Impeachment is an inherently political process. They can call Paxton to testify. He can refuse to answer questions, and invoke the 5th. But fuck this shit of him sitting on the fucking sidelines. He wants to keep his office, held in trust for and on behalf of the motherfucking people of fucking Texas, he can take the stand or he can GTFO of my goddamned government. Entitled cocksucking motherfucker.

  20. After watching the game on Saturday, I had a few takeaways. 1) I'm going to have to fucking pay closetohumping $1000. 2) Sonny Dykes is, in fact, who I thought he was. 3) Kendal Briles is still a rape-enabling dipshit living off of his father's reputation. That play at the goal line by Hunter, a truly terrific play, should have never happened. Run the fucking ball, dummy. They should have been running the ball all day long. 4) TCU's defense is pure asshole. That was a pathetic showing. Nebraska is a lot tougher than TCU and they'll play okay defense. I think it will be a good game. Nebraska seems like they have had a curse put on them by somebody that paid a witch in Alquippa, so I'm guessing CU wins in a way that will cause more heartbreak to Husker Nation. I'm fine with the heart ache for the huskers part, but I do not look forward to another victory.

Those stations live-streaming the whole thing include: (non-YouTube links below take you to the station's coverage page) C-SPAN KHOU - 11(website) (YouTube Channel) KVUE (website) (YouTube Channel - they will be covering it) KPRC(website) (coverage starts at 8am) and KPRC appears to be going all-in with "The Bench" (link) WFAA (website) (YouTube Channel) Fox 4's YouTube Channel If you want it straight from the Texas Senate: https://senate.texas.gov/av-live.php Other sites covering it Texas Tribune (YouTube Channel) Quorum Report And national outlets like The Hill and CNN and a whole shitload of websites/news orgs across Texas and the US. It's a perfect storm, as everybody is looking for something juicy and Trump is not doing much right now. Some key facts Paxton would be immediately removed from office if two-thirds of senators, or 21, vote to sustain even a single article of impeachment. If any articles are sustained, they can vote to prevent him from holding future offices. The last time a statewide official was impeached and convicted was when it happened to then-Governor James Ferguson in 1917. Paxton and his wife had some things to say over the weekend Paxton was introduced by his wife, Angela, who announced she is running for re-election for Senate District 8. She called him the "love of my life, my best friend." There have also been allegations of an affair against Paxton."I have also watched this man fight for me, fight for us as a couple," Angela said. "And you can be very sure that he, if he’s doing that, he’s going to fight for you." "What I’m saying to you as we’re going forward, we have to take responsibility for our own party for people we elect who sit there and tell us one thing," Paxton said. "Yeah, we’re all about election integrity, that’s just one issue, behind-the-scenes, because Dade Phelan had to make a deal with the Democrats, we’re taking your ability to stop voter fraud away." "I would love to talk about what’s coming up for me for the next couple of weeks. I have a gag order, so I cannot talk about that, but I can talk about something that has maybe become the leading issue that we deal with as a county and the state needs to deal with and that is something known at the Texas House of Representatives," Paxton said. "Let's clean house. God bless you." Rick Fuckin' Perry has also said some things in the Wall Stree Fuckin' Journal (yeah, the dancer from Dancing With the Stars is writing op-eds for the WSFJ) Republicans once believed in the rule of law. My party had confidence in the U.S. and Texas constitutions and the processes and freedoms they recognize and protect. That’s why it’s shocking to see some Republicans—through a coordinated effort of texts, emails and social-media posts—working to delegitimize the impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Ken Paxton. It points to an important question: Do we trust the processes outlined in our Texas Constitution or not? Texas Tribune has the best rundown (check their page for a nice flowchart of all of this) The Senate gallery will be open to the public daily, beginning at 8 a.m., with tickets distributed for the morning session on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 7:30 a.m. on the Capitol’s third floor. Tickets for the afternoon session will be distributed 45 minutes before the gallery reopens. The trial also will be livestreamed on the Texas Senate’s website and at texastribune.org. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick will act as judge. Senators, serving as jurors, will consider 16 of 20 articles of impeachment. The Senate previously voted to delay consideration of the other four. Paxton’s wife, Sen. Angela Paxton, will sit as a member of the court but will not vote on any decisions or participate in private deliberations. The trial will begin with the court clerk reading aloud the 16 articles. Paxton, who was ordered to appear in person, or his lawyer will plead guilty or not guilty to each article. On the first day of the trial, some witnesses are also ordered to appear outside the front door of the Senate chamber at 11 a.m. The court will begin its work by ruling on pretrial motions. Any motion to dismiss an article of impeachment must be approved by a majority of senators, at least 16 members. Patrick can rule on any other motion, or he can ask senators to vote on a motion without debate or discussion. Patrick can also defer a ruling on motions — including dismissal of an article — until after evidence is presented at trial if that evidence would help answer the question. The House managers will be first to offer an opening statement. Paxton's lawyers can choose to make a statement afterward or wait until they begin presenting evidence. Each side has up to one hour. The House managers’ lawyers will present their case first. Each side has a total of 24 hours to present witnesses and evidence and cross-examine the opposition’s witnesses. After both sides present their evidence, each side will have one hour to present rebuttal evidence. Witnesses will testify under oath. Each side has up to one hour to make final arguments. Following that, Senators will meet in private to deliberate. The 30 eligible senators will return to open court to vote separately on each article without debate or discussion, though they will have three days to submit a written explanation of their votes for publication in the Senate Journal. Senators will submit a written vote on the question: “Shall this article of impeachment be sustained?” For each article, the court clerk will read, in random order, how each senator voted. A finding of acquittal would be entered for any article not sustained. If an article is sustained, the House impeachment managers can ask senators to prohibit Paxton from holding future public office in Texas. Each side would have 15 minutes to argue their position. Approval requires support from 21 senators. And if you need more info, Texas Monthly has a wall-of-text as well. If you have non-impeachment game day stuff, the regular Ken Paxton thread is here.

  33. As fun as it is to mock Dabo, the fact is that Duke was a 9-4 team last year and they were 5-1 at home. Their losses were all one-possession games. This performance by their defense was classic Mike Elko in that it seems like the other team gets something going but somehow doesn’t score points. Elko is a damn fine coach and should be the HC at Notre Dame although I can see how Bob Davie scared them off of A&M OCs. But this never was going to be a cakewalk for Clemson and if you take away “Duke” and just look at how the teams played last year, it was always going to be a good game. Dabo had absolutely more talent on the field and should have won, but Elko is just a good damn coach and should get credit for prepping his team.

Even better Trump has been threatening to go after people making money on his mug shot. Would be karma if they end up going after him and taking the millions he has profited from his surrenderdise.
