Outside of the special teams shitshow, this game was glorious. Our defense is just fucking huge and fast. Great athletes everywhere. Murphy is a fucking rock. Blackwell looked good. So much depth. Gbenda continues to have wow plays. Quinn was so solid. JT is a freak. Jonathan Brooks has that sneaky it factor instinctually and is only getting better. AD Mitchell looks like a portrait of the ideal SEC wideout. I don't know what happens the rest of the year, but it is clear that Sark has really transformed and rebuilt this program. We've got the dudes. We've got the offensive and defensive game plans. Just got to bring it every week.24 points

We should probably reward people with a timeout if they continue to compare this years team to the β05 team. Holy fuck20 points

That was a total domination and I'm right here for it. The defense is finally right where we need them to be. The only thing I can point to as needing work is the special teams and I'll take that. Offense was great. Brooks is really owning the role as lead running back. Quinn was great. Didn't even need the deep ball tonight. That was about as good a performance as I could have hoped to send that shitfest in Waco off with. Enjoy wandering the desert, you Baptists turds.19 points

Let me get this straight: Sark and the Horns now have a mighty 4-game winning streak, scoring 34 points per game, and beat one good team (a down Bama team). So not only is Texas "back" from the desert, this team now rivals the 2005 team? Huh? The 2005 team had a 20-game winning streak, averaged 50 points per game (could have been 70 points per game if Mack kept the foot on the gas). Won two Rose Bowls, beat Top 5 Ohio State in the Shoe, won Big 12 title 70-3 and it could have been 100-3. Beat the Trojans in perhaps the greatest college game of all time. The list of superlatives is endless, as previous posters pointed out. Simply put: 2005 Texas is simply one of the top 3 greatest college football teams of all time. Comparing the 2023 team to 2005 is likely the most delusional take I've ever seen in 33 years online. It's so delusional, I fear the football gods will reanimate Seven-Win Steve to gut punch every one of us ... back to reality.18 points

Some people were born to complain. It was a good win. Special Teams exempted. A 32 point win is nothing to scoff at. Two possessions were lost due to ST fumbles. Had Sark continued to press to breach 40 or 50 with all of the starters in and one (or more) had been injured, everyone would bitch about leaving the starters in too long risking injury. Plus, having a lead this large allowed for the offense to work on some plays for future use in a real-time conditions without any real game harm other than ticking off the fan base. The same goes for the defense in letting others get valuable playing time in a low risk situation. I would rather use games like this, that are well in hand, to experiment and gain playing time for others than to not bring others in just to maintain stats and make the fans "happy". There have been plenty of times where a non-starter is forced to come in due to injury and the fanbase laments the fact that they had not had any previous real game time experience. Baylor's will was broke after Texas' first score. After that it was like a cat toying with a mouse; all the mouse can hope for is a quick death. Revel in the scoreboard.18 points

This is what 15 years of being ass does to motherfuckers. This team is good. Just good. They've proven dick all as of yet against weaker competition. Stop disrespecting the '05 team. Or we're going to have Casey Studdard come back and teach you idiots a lesson.15 points

Watts has been beaten deep a few times because he is face raping dudes all day between 0-10 yards. How many years have we complained about soft coverage on the outside basically conceding the short 5 yard pass and gotten dink and dunked down the field. Im tired of that shit. Much more satisfying to shut down the short shit all night and let them try to protect long enough against our front to get somebody deep14 points

I donβt care whether they abandon NOLA or not, but they better not do it before next October because I finally got my daughter tickets to see Taylor Swift and they are for 10/26/24 in NOLA.14 points

There are only three undefeated Big 12 teams left. We have a chance to take care of that over the next 2 weeks.14 points

Everyone remember there is a big NIL tailgate before the Kansas game. Members from the Womenβs Basketball and Menβs Basketball team will be there as well as a few staff members. We are trying to hit a goal of 38 sign ups for Texas one fund on a monthly basis on that Saturday so drop by and sign up there and enjoy some Pinkertonβs bbq, beer and seltzers from Faust distributing and their brands and dulce vida tequila.14 points

Had leftover dried chilies from making chili w/o beans last weekend, so decided to make birria tacos. Hadnβt tried making them before and they turned out fantastic. Used a combo of chuck roast and short ribs.12 points
