Nahlin is reporting that Kevin Mar and crew will not be working the Texas-OU game this weekend. My guess is that the powers that be passed that on to Burton, so I feel really good that this could be true. Now I'm wondering if someone got involved and helped make something happen. That's the story I would like to believe, so I am going with it. Strong work.36 points

Reagan also literally went behind the country's back to ensure the hostages would not be released until after the results of the election. It was confirmed for sure just in the past year by the person who did it. Fucking traitorous piece of shit.25 points

Theyβre using Chip Brown the right way these days. Heβs just a useful idiot. The notion that Sarkisian is letting anyone feed that guy exclusive injury information is flat out laughable. Good sign for both players being good to go.22 points

Or they saw the Brian Kelly 360 shot and thought they would be doing a favor to all of mankind.22 points

One of my favorite OU-Texas stories, way back in the day my dad was going to the game and pulled into this long series of yards, pays the guy at entrance, then there's a string of guys who keep waving him forward, waving him forward, until finally the last guy just waves him back out into the street again. And to your point, sure, but lots of people park at a school or a church, etc., not really taking in the local culture, so to say.15 points

I only sat in the OU side once. In 2005. It was fucking glorious. Highly recommend it.14 points

I joined this weird clan of traveling misfits, oozing from one board to another, back in 2011. What I recall was the CR was dominated by a handful of guys like Swam who just constantly ragged on Obama, Hilary, and reveled in Facebook memes about ACA/Obamaphones/tan suits/etc. At the time I just ignored it because the old rep system meant one misstep would crater your newbie account quickly. Now you could reasonably argue that things have swung the other way, however Iβd counter that there have been far more real world impacts under Trumpβ¦rise of the alt right storming the Capitol, women losing right to choose, misinformation killing people from Covid, attacks against trans/gay/minorities, etcβ¦and thus actually worthy of derision vs 2011 bitching about drone strikes or the deficit or feet on the Resolute desk. So yeah, the CR has changedβ¦for the better if you ask me.14 points

This. I agree if anyone is mad about people standing, yelling, drinking, etc. that they are idiots and in the wrong and can go watch on TV. But you're goddamn right that if I spend hundreds of dollars apiece for tickets, I want myself (and my 70 year old dad and 16 year old kid) to be able to sit down during timeouts or a 20 minute halftime, etc., especially when it's 200 degrees already and don't need some guy sweating rotgut in our laps. Go to the seat you paid for. If you want a better seat, stop being poor.13 points

There has absolutely been a mass exodus of conservative posters from the board not just cloak room. When COVID happened and Tom Hermanβs last season was in full swing it got really bad. People forgot how to act and started going all conspiracy theory and everything got politicized. I considered shutting down the board at one point because it was just a place that was more bad than good. we came out of that with posters that were intellectually immune to conspiracy adjacent shit and had seen through the republican facade held for decades. Now we have obviously broken brained idiots who jump through hoops to defend voting R and a bunch of people who are disenfranchised by both parties and only a few true D voters who like the R voters jump through hoops for their candidates/representative/elected officials. the lions share of the board is now registered independent, with a slight conservative lean, which surprise surprise is just like Texans generally.13 points

2024 safety on Texas' radar, per Gerry Houston, Texas β The Texas Longhorns staff evaluates and recruits through the whistle. And that means the senior year evaluations are well under way. One of the 2024 prospects that has caught Texasβ attention early on this season is LaVonte Johnson. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound hard-hitting safety with cornerback foot quickness has been in contact with Texas defensive backs coach Terry Joseph and safeties coach Blake Gideon this season. That includes attending the Texas 40-14 win over Kansas September 30. βIt was good. I liked everything about. The atmosphere and everything was crazy. I really liked their DBβs. Everybody looks at their receivers because their receiver core is crazy, but I like their DBβs too. I looked at number two (Derek Williams) because I feel like I could be built like him one day. I think they are going to have a crazy season.β After the game, Johnson spoke with Coach Terry Joseph. βThey just want to see me keep balling. They are going to recruiting me, and looking at me down the line. I expect to go back there (later this season).β The son of former North Shore standout and LSU running back LaVar Johnson is playing his senior season at North Shore in a secondary that includes 5-star cornerback Devin Sanchez. Visits coming up Johnson is seeing his recruitment pick up as a senior at North Shore. That includes two new Power 5 programs that are talking about setting up an official visit. Ole Miss: βIβve been talking to Ole Miss about a visit. I talk to the school recruiter and corner coach. Ole Miss is looking at me at corner.β Washington: βIβve been talking to Washington too. They came up here like two days ago to check in on me. I expect to set up a visit (official) to Washington. Washington is looking at me as a safety.β Kansas State, Houston and Oklahoma State are among the other schools that continue to be in contact with the Houston Area prospect. Johnson played his junior season at C.E. King High. He played cornerback for the Panthers in 2022. Johnson is the No. 607 ranked prospect in the 2024 class nationally. He ranks as the No. 59 safety and No. 103 ranked senior in the Lone Star State.12 points

Wordle 838 3/6 π¨β¬β¬β¬β¬ β¬π©π©π©π© π©π©π©π©π© I'm tired of looking, so just imagine a gif of a golfer chipping from about 60 yards out, and it bounces a couple of times, then rolls up to the hole and around the rim a couple of times, takes a good look down into the hole, then rolls off and stops two inches away. Also, ou sucks.12 points
