I believe the vast majority of the time, the coaching staff knows what’s going on. Then you get Rising hosting Bru and makes you say huh.

I care mostly because I work and live in an enclave of aggy, and it’s a lot more fun when Texas is poaching their recruits, or making them look dumb to the masses. I’d rather not endure the whoop durr jimbo took another from tu whoop a couple times a day.

At the end of the day I don’t really dgaf where he signs, I think he could still be a good player and depth if he gets his mental right.  This conversation started because I said the optics suck, wish there was another way to deal with shithead recruits, but there’s not. Just kind of have to take the good with the bad. That’s all.

Coaches contracts aren't broken for free...

Yes they are -  a buyout clause has to be in a coach’s contract in order for a payment to go down like that. Many coaches don’t have that clause. And that’s just head coaches, no position coaches ever have buyout clauses, normally. Also, when Urban Meyer takes the job at USC next year, they will pay Ohio State nothing because he “retired“.

I get where you’re going with that but I think even you know the suggestion is absurd.

It's a millenial's wet dream, though: you don't earn the starter's job, you just transfer to where there's less competition.

I’m amazed at some of the whining I see on the Internet about generational bullshit.

Coaches (old men, not millennials) come and go and break contracts nonstop and guys like you don’t say one fucking word ...  but the moment a player, who isn’t paid and literally can’t afford to not play if NFL dreams are to be realized, seeks to improve his situation all of a sudden it is some disreputable move.

    Dumb.

Good for the players for finally getting the slightest bit of leverage for their situation.

  4. Because the Colts are the worst thing to happen to the Texans and are the biggest thorn in our side with no close ‘second’, I really enjoy watching them lose... but knowing they whipped our asses and are that much better than us is taking some steam out of my joy.

Either way, gotta love Mahomes and the way he plays, and I’m a big Reid fan just for doing it so well for so long and with class. Chiefs are a special team, no shame in losing to them.
