  1. Camerata is my favorite wine bar. 13 Celsius is a close 2nd.
  2. You need to find a good add-on, and they change ofen. Neptune Rising has been working pretty well for me.
  3. QJD Peking Duck opening a Houston location - 5901 Westheimer. I suppose you can get your karaoke on after, if you are into that. https://houston.eater.com/2018/7/9/17546954/qjd-peking-duck-opening-houston-westheimer-road Later this month, a Peking duck restaurant that’s been open in China for more than 100 years will open its doors in Houston. QJD Peking Duck is set to host its grand opening at 5901 Westheimer Road later this month, bringing the second North American location of the restaurant to Space City. The restaurant, a spin off of Quan Ju De Roast Duck restaurant in Beijing, was founded in 1864, according to its website, and has operated continuously since the Qing Dynasty. In addition to the Beijing original, a Toronto outpost of QJD Peking Duck opened in September 2017, and has since earned solid reviews for its namesake dish. The restaurant has even scored a nod from President George H.W. Bush, who dined at the Chinese outpost. As is expected, lacquered and roasted Peking duck is the star of the menu, served with steamed pancakes, vegetables, and a sweet soybean dipping sauce. Duck liver pate, salty duck liver (a dish that sort of resembles foie gras), and spiced smoked fish are also on the menu, along with duck wings, Xi’an rice noodles, and duck tongue soup. Presentation is especially important at QJD — bites of duck are fashioned into pretty rosettes, a tofu dish is decorated with little duckling cutouts, and the garnishes are particularly extravagant. QJD Peking Duck will kick open its doors on Friday, July 20 with a grand opening party from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  4. You guys make it sound like Correa is Jed Lowrie. Correa has had thumb injuries and that's about it.
  5. I like to go to the In-N-Out Burger next to the airport. Go to the park across the street and watch the planes fly right over my head.
  6. SIRI isn't going anywhere unless someone buys them out. Their financials look strong to quite strong, so I don't see that happening.
  7. I doubt it will turn. Kingwood, Humble, and the north will always vote Republican. You can compare the maps and see exactly what the Republicans are doing. You can see where the red goes with direct correlation. http://swamplot.com/where-trump-lost-harris-county-mapped/2016-11-14/ http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Texas's_2nd_congressional_district That's what is messed up about the redistricting. The 2nd district voted Democrat until 2005, which was the first time in history a Republican was voted since 1846. Come 2012 they redistrict taking out Beaumont and all of Jefferson County, while adding over million people in white suburbia in north Houston. Also deciding to take portions of inner Houston where they know democrats are vastly outnumbered in the district.
  8. Straight Democrat for the first time ever. Daniel Crenshaw does seem like a decent guy, but this is where I'm at thanks to Trump and the GOP. I'm in the 2nd Congressional District and it has been gerrymandered to shit. My Montrose vote won't count for the Congressional District election. Take a look at this fucked up map. http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Texas's_2nd_congressional_district
  9. Another interview? Maybe, maybe not. It's determined by the vetting center.
  10. Not sure what you mean there? Certain Caribbean destinations don't even require a passport.
  11. Strippers sound nice, but don't move to the Galleria area
  12. Yep, global entry will not get you through customs in foreign countries. Only in America.
  13. Bike theft is common in Houston and I haven't had any issues. But yes, someone can easily cut some of those small locks with the right tools if they wanted. I have a heavy chain I use at times that is almost impossible to cut, but it's a pain in the ass to bike with. I'm not a fan of the U-locks because it's hard to lock up if you can't find a bike rack around or small pole. This is the heavy chain I use at times. When I know I will leave the bike out for long periods of time or in sketchy areas. https://www.amazon.com/Kryptonite-Keeper-Integrated-Bicycle-33-5-Inch/dp/B005YPK7V8/ref=sr_1_10?s=outdoor-recreation&ie=UTF8&qid=1530629685&sr=1-10&keywords=bike+lock+cable&refinements=p_36%3A1253556011 I use something like this for daily riding. Like a bar crawl, a quick ride to the store, or if I ride to work. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WGUV2B8/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvpv2_1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3233965245922079678&pd_rd_wg=UXxau&pf_rd_r=V1056J2FSWKH2PPC6T6Y&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-bottom-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B00WGUV2B8&pd_rd_w=jG7QR&pf_rd_i=bike+lock+cable&pd_rd_r=2038d4a4-085c-4c9c-bdd8-60228263a216&ie=UTF8&qid=1530629835&sr=1 Kevlar works great https://www.amazon.com/OTTOLOCK-Combination-Lightweight-Compact-Durable/dp/B0799DYL2G/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1530629601&sr=8-3-spons&keywords=bike+lock+cable&psc=1
  14. I keep hearing we haven’t had everything clicking at the same time all year. Will everything be clicking by October? We shall see. The we're on pace thing is annoying to me. On pace means nothing. Astros will be in the playoffs. To sum it up, October is the only month that counts.
  15. Bar etiquette for the ladies.. Don't put your purse on an empty bar stool next to you. This happens way too often.
  16. It's going to suck in November as far as daytime goes. Sunset is around 3:30pm. Find a cute Swedish girl to cuddle up with. That's my only other recommendation,
  17. Sarcasm. It's always "surly and the jump to conclusions before facts come out" team who knows what actually happened.
  18. I was told it was all Milo Yiannopoulos and politically motivated.
  19. Yeah, but the run differential the past two games. On Pace for 90 wins
  20. Armando's used to be fun on Thursday night. It would turn into a dance party with a dj. I wonder if they still do that.
  21. This might work. https://houston.eater.com/2018/6/27/17510878/kau-ba-saigon-kitchen-nikki-tran-opening-july-2018 Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen, the Montrose restaurant from Vietnamese chef Nikki Tran, is preparing to open its doors next month. A representative for the restaurant tells Eater that Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen will make its debut before the end of July, bringing Tran’s unique fusion of Cajun and Vietnamese — or as she calls it, “Viejun” — cuisine to Space City. As Eater reported in March, the restaurant will open inside the space formerly occupied by recently-departed wine bar Bacchus at 2502 Dunlavy Street. The menu isn’t finalized just yet, but diners can expect a “retro, Saigon pre-1975” vibe at Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen, and dishes that fuse the culinary traditions of both Vietnam and Houston. Tran’s cuisine earned raves from chef and food personality David Chang, who featured her Ho Chi Minh City restaurant Ca Ba Quan in the first season of his Neflix show Ugly Delicious. Kau Ba Saigon Kitchen is expected to arrive on July 21. Stay tuned for more details on what the menu will look like.
  22. Go to the Rangers. Nevermind, that's handjobs
