  2. I take the back streets with little traffic. Although I'll admit I run a few stop signs and traffic lights. I'm a responsible rider though. The scooter is more fun. Plus I'm not a fan of electric bikes and they are expensive.
  3. I love them. I liked riding them so much in Santa Monica I bought one when I got back home in Houston. It's great for riding around town, and riding to and from work. It's quicker than driving and you don't sweat like you would riding a bike.

  6. There is one must you should do in Brussels if you are into beer. That is go to Cantillon Brewery. Beer nerds will hate you for going there without them. Only Lambic, Gueuze, and Kriek so you need to be into that stuff or at least willing to try.

  8. I don't know police protocol, but he should have called off the pursuit once they got a helicopter overhead. That's too dangerous for civilians with the shooting and reckless driving going on.

  13. Brussels is an easy train ride from Amsterdam and worth the trip. You could do a day trip from Brussels to Brugge. Brugge is nice, but I enjoyed Ghent more.

Guinness and Jameson are not close. I wouldn't bother visiting both unless you have time, and if you do I would recommend the Ireland thread. The Guinness brewery is ok, but I would just head to the top floor. Spend some time in the Temple area and then get the hell out of the tourist spot. Wonder around a bit.

  16. Mez and I were there last year for the Astros game. Fells Point area is where you want to be. It's an easy Uber.

    Cruz vs Beto

WASHINGTON – Texas U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke raised more than $10.4 million in the past three months, more than doubling the $4.59 million reported by Republican U.S. Sen Ted Cruz, a former presidential candidate who is defending his Senate seat in November. O'Rourke, a rare challenger outraising an established incumbent, also enjoys a substantial cash advantage over Cruz, who still leads in the polls. O'Rourke closed out the quarter ending June 30 with more than $14 million in the bank, compared to Cruz's $10.4 million.
  18. Time to send LMJ down to AAA along with Keuchel and Marwin. Might as well trade Correa because he's always injured. Gattis is slumping again - time for DFA talk again.

  21. QJD Peking Duck opening a Houston location - 5901 Westheimer. I suppose you can get your karaoke on after, if you are into that. https://houston.eater.com/2018/7/9/17546954/qjd-peking-duck-opening-houston-westheimer-road Later this month, a Peking duck restaurant that’s been open in China for more than 100 years will open its doors in Houston. QJD Peking Duck is set to host its grand opening at 5901 Westheimer Road later this month, bringing the second North American location of the restaurant to Space City. The restaurant, a spin off of Quan Ju De Roast Duck restaurant in Beijing, was founded in 1864, according to its website, and has operated continuously since the Qing Dynasty. In addition to the Beijing original, a Toronto outpost of QJD Peking Duck opened in September 2017, and has since earned solid reviews for its namesake dish. The restaurant has even scored a nod from President George H.W. Bush, who dined at the Chinese outpost. As is expected, lacquered and roasted Peking duck is the star of the menu, served with steamed pancakes, vegetables, and a sweet soybean dipping sauce. Duck liver pate, salty duck liver (a dish that sort of resembles foie gras), and spiced smoked fish are also on the menu, along with duck wings, Xi’an rice noodles, and duck tongue soup. Presentation is especially important at QJD — bites of duck are fashioned into pretty rosettes, a tofu dish is decorated with little duckling cutouts, and the garnishes are particularly extravagant. QJD Peking Duck will kick open its doors on Friday, July 20 with a grand opening party from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  22. You guys make it sound like Correa is Jed Lowrie. Correa has had thumb injuries and that's about it.
  23. I like to go to the In-N-Out Burger next to the airport. Go to the park across the street and watch the planes fly right over my head.
