  1. maybe this has been covered and i missed it but isnt it a conflict of interest for Cohen to accept these engagements in order to give insight on and access to his only client? Wouldnt he be required to notify Trump of his engagement by ATT, Novartis, etc and get a waiver for each? What happens if the obligation to provide insight or access conflicts with his fiduciary responsibility to Trump as his personal attorney? I believe Trump knew about each and hope they have proof of such knowledge. But if they dont, is this another opportunity for Trump to hang Cohen out to dry? And yet another reason for Cohen to flip?
  2. Fuck handing over sources to Congress. I would rather be impeached. Make them do that before you hand over anything.
  3. how is there not cause to terminate the contract when it became clear that cohen couldnt perform the duties required under the contract? if he couldnt deliver, he is in breach and they can terminate the deal. but of course that is not what was going on here.
  4. he filed so he could accept campaign donations. he is using those to fund his legal defense.
  5. i think i read somewhere that there was a total of $4.4M that went through that account. I believe ATT actually contributed $600k.
  6. D-linemen are easier to plug and play than Olinemen.
  7. they run a pro offense, correct? not sure Young fits that type of scheme as well as DJ but idk who they prefer.
  8. Just finished A Tale of Two Cities and To Kill A Mockingbird before that. Moving on to Lord of the Flies now and then Call of the Wild after that. East of Eden is probably my favorite book right now. Steinbeck is such an amazing writer.
  9. Results from the Dallas Opening: Hudson Card 6'2 162 lbs 4.79 4.28 35.8 Bryce Young 6'0 176 lbs 4.34
  10. i just finished reading A Tale of Two Cities. I have two comments: 1. Holy shit I feel like there are a lot of similarities between now and the time period immediately preceding the French Revolution. Except, our poor are in on it with the wealthy and are all like "yeah give em hell! make em suffer!!!! um, wait, what?" 2. I have newfound respect for the poster Sydney Carton.
  11. the white poor adopt it because it makes them feel like they are part of the club even to their own detriment. it makes them feel superior to vote like a rich guy and it will help stick it to the brown and black people, ya know the REAL poor people. if they were to vote democrat, to their advantage, it would be admitting they are poor AND it would be agreeing to help those brown and black people, ya know the REAL poor people who are too lazy to help themselves!
  12. two thoughts: 1. The GOP has now fully embraced Trump. It is truly his party now. That means that 2018 is going to be really good or REALLY BAD for our country. If we reject Trumpism, the sun will come out and there will be brighter days ahead. If we embrace it as a nation, we will look back at the first two year as the glory days. It can and will get worse. The pre-Trump GOP has largely kept Trump in check. He really hasnt been able to do much. But those guys are all getting out. They dont want to be a part of Trump's Republican party. They see the shit show coming even if they wont say so publicly. Their actions speak louder than their silence. And they are all silently screaming by electing not to run again. IF Trumpism wins in November, the changes to this country will be staggering. As someone said above, the blatant rejection of knowledge, science, environmentalism, protecting endangered species, fraud, banking, regulations of any kind, imposing religious views, the rule of law, racism, sexism, and Trump as figurative king doing whatever he wants whenever he wants without any check or balance as there will be none in Congress. They will impeach and remove everyone in the DOJ that dares to oppose them. More and more judges will be Trump appointees. The judicial branch will fall in line with Congress and will serve Trump and protect him. In short, we will be fucked. And it will only get worse in 2020 as there will be no way to stop him and his party. Hopefully, we stop all of this stupid shit in November. Trump is put in check by a Democratically controlled Congress and he slinks off a battered and defeated man in 2020. 2. Iran is a great country full of great people. Seriously, they are amazing. They are and have been what we will become if Trumpism wins in the Fall. The government is not representative of their people. I do not want to do anything to Iran other than find a way to help their people overthrow their leaders. It is truly one of the great groups of people in the world. Smart, hard working, family oriented. They are amazing in every way. I have been fortunate enough to travel there for work several times and come away every time more and more impressed. Whatever our plan is, it should be to help the people liberate themselves from a stupid regime that rejects knowledge, science, and everything else that Trump does.
  13. he looks like he can play RB and Slot for us. get him the ball in space and watch him go!
  14. I was praying for that cameo too!
  15. just watched all 10 episodes on a flight. it was really good. lots of fun, the right amount of cheese and nostalgia, but also really good.
  16. May God bless your Ma, you and your family.
  17. my guess is the call between Cohen and Trump was about destroying files and evidence and that led to the raid.
  18. Cleveland is actually pretty nice this time of year. Great museums, nice downtown, lots of history, good pubs/clubs.... if you could just avoid being there from November until March, it would be really nice.
  19. Do not ever compare Trump to Reagan again.
  20. ha... that made me laugh hard. ok, stepping away from the computer for a while.
  21. I think it takes time. Herman will keep pursuing Wilson until the end. Wilson's biggest concern re player development is legitimate but can be negated with evidence of development and improvement on the field. Im not holding my breath but if LT and Texas have great seasons running the same offense and Card commits to Texas, then I think there may be a chance...
  22. I think Herman and Staff are on the right path now.
  23. All good points on Texas/LT dynamic. Fortunately, Herman's staff is focused on correcting it moving forward.
  24. Not true at all. Texas offered Baldwin in Coach Carter's office after he committed to OSU. It was too late.
