I don't believe this can be emphasized enough. The fact that they have our country's name on their uniform does not, for me, change the fact that they are playing pretty much the last sport on Earth I have any interest in watching. The political stuff? I don't give a rat's ass. The equal pay question? Well, I suppose in a vacuum, I'd argue that they ought to be paid equivalent to the amount of revenue they bring in, which is probably more than the men in this sport.

But that just brings me full circle to "why the fuck is ANYBODY watching this sport?" It's a stupid game, and even the most dominant performances and subtle and nuanced philosophical approaches to it are still boring as fuck. And this comes from somebody who thinks a 1-0 baseball game is exciting. I don't care about men's soccer, why would anybody think I'd care about women's soccer?

Soccer is like playing checkers, while American football is more like chess.

Australian Rules football is like crazy ants on meth.

Well, if it isn't the definition of taunting, I don't know what is. If you don't call horns down, you can't call anything.

This guy is the quintessential Sooner fan.

    Classless piece of shit? Check

Beer belly and clogged arteries? Check

    Sleeveless white trash shirt? Check

Bad (most likely meth-fueled) tats? Check

    Triple chin? Check

    Deep-seated penis envy? Check

Never taken a college course in his life? Check

Pan the camera down and I have no doubt this genius is also wearing jorts. This picture should become more widely circulated than the one of the face-painted retarded Sooner fan. (I know that isn't a very specific description.) BOOMER!

That pic ranks right up there with the milkmen cheerleaders.

Funny reading some of that shit. Anyone who was in Dallas during the 60’s and 70’s would agree that a Horn’s down gesture was the least of concerns coming from the OU fanbase. Shit, we used to throw fucking empty bottles at one another. And a good time was had by all.

I accidentally dropped a metal trash can full of confetti out of our Adolphus suite’s 10th floor window late on the Friday night of the OU game in 1963. We leaned out and watched it hit the portico/marquee overhang with a huge “CLANG”, which made the soldid mass of drunken humanity instantly part like the Red/Burnt Orange Sea before falling harmlessly to the pavement.

Hotel security showed up about 10 minutes later, but nobody knew nuthin’.

  5. We keep getting phone calls 3 or 4 times a week that threaten my wife (by name) to solve a “fraud problem” by demanding her SS & drivers license numbers, or else they will turn the case over to the Cameron County clerk’s office (and gives a toll number to call.... which does not match the real Cameron County clerk’s office).

I am getting sick of those goddamned criminal motherfuckers trying to scare old people so they can rob them. There is a special place in hell for that scum.

The voice does not sound like a recording like those fake IRS “investigator” calls, as they are all a little different in the wording. It sounds like a mature white woman with no accent.

Shit on that shameless bitch for working for a criminal scam. She can rot in a Nigerian septic tank while sucking on a gangrenous dick.

Moving on to something a little more modern.  My everyday carry is the Gen 5 Glock 19 w/RMR.  The RMR is a game changer in terms of pistol accuracy.  It does not do much for shots less than 10 yards since in defensive situations, sights are not really relevant.  But at distance, say 15-25 yards, iron sights cannot compete.  There is a learning curve to RMR and once mastered, is better than irons.  With irons, you eyes focus on one of 3 things, front sight, rear sight or target.  And as you get older, it is harder to focus on the front sight.  With RMR, just focus on the target.  The dot will appear and that is where the bullet will hit.  Practicing with an empty gun will also improve your trigger pull and give you instant feedback about jerking, pulling, anticipating.  After 1000 rounds, my G19 is the most accurate gun I own.  My standard test is the IDPA 5 x 5 Bill Drill.  I have iron sighted G19s with fiber optics, custom made 1911s, Dan Wessons, Sig P365, etc...  I have the lowest score with the RMR.  My times are similar with guns I shoot a lot, but the RMR is the only one that does not have penalty seconds added for missed zones.  It is the only gun that I shoot the drill cleanly and have my times match my other pistols.  My times are less than 30 seconds which is the maximum allowed for advanced classes.  So I am not the worlds greatest shot, but I shoot pretty good and have decades of experience.  I just mailed off my p365's slide yesterday to get milled along with a new RMSc red dot.  I should have it back next week.  The working theory is that if I can get this compact 12 + 1 9mm to drive tacks like the Glock, I may work it into the rotation.  Pictures to follow.

Interesting. What is the advantage of the RMR over a regular laser sight?

My eyesight is getting pretty bad, with cataract procedures coming soon. It’s to the point where 3 dot iron sights are hard to get on target. Hopefully the eye surgery will help. Otherwise for me it’s just up close 7 yard point shooting for defensive purposes only.

    Everybody awake?

My Dad met him during a WWII Bob Hope entertainment tour in Alaska in 1942. My brother still has all their autographs on his “short snorter”.

  8. No, but I knew a collector who owned a nice Colt Model 1855 Root side hammer revolving carbine. He also owned a good example of a Dance Brothers revolver made in West Columbia, Texas during the Civil War. He once traded an old single barrel shotgun for an 1848 Colt Walker. Finest collection I ever had the privilege of examining in person.

Sam definitely bears responsibility for some of the losses, but he has been part of a rebuild from a shitpile that Vince and Colt didn't have to go through.

That is true. Vince had a great team around him, and so did Colt (never mind the loss of his o-line after 2006)

Now imagine if you were an aggy and you switched out all this shit with old aggy players then had to type "1930's" instead of 2005

Shit, even I can’t remember that far back.
