  1. I look forward to seeing whatever ultimately gets published after peer review. As I've said before, I don't have a vested interest in one outcome over another. I would like to see if we can reach a consensus (or as close to one as possible) regrading the source, but I'm not terribly optimistic we'll ever really know.

Like I implied in my first post, I played competitive tennis as a junior to a level that would have enabled me to play for a division 1 college team (but I had burned out by then). I harbor no delusions that I could beat a professional women's tennis player today. MAYBE back when I was in my best form I'd have a chance against a satellite tour player but I still doubt it. Shoot, I play golf regularly with (and have played with and beaten at tennis several years ago) a guy who played on tour (played at Wimbledon, was Bjorn Borg's practice partner and SMU tennis HOF member) and he isn't beating any professional or even college player today (of course he's over 60 now, but my point still stands)
  3. With this I completely agree.

I just did a quick check of LPGA stats. AVERAGE driving distance of top 50 players exceeds 250. That would hold up against just about any amateur male golfer (scratch or higher handicap) in an 18 hole round, regardless of tees played. Oh, and in case you're wondering, the average driving distance of 0-5 handicap males was...wait for it... around 240 yards. https://www.golfwrx.com/637222/the-average-driving-distance-for-male-amateur-golfers-in-each-handicap-range/ https://www.golfmagic.com/equipment-news/new-golf-driving-distance-stats-are-out-are-you-average-your-handicap https://www.golfmonthly.com/features/the-game/how-far-do-average-golfers-actually-hit-it-123891

LOL on this. I'm in my late 50's and my distance has dropped off due to hip issues. Even so, I've played with a number of LPGA pros over the years (my club has provided playing privileges to many and currently sponsors a couple), and the tee differentials would not offset the skill level (especially short game, iron play, and putting). If you as single digit handicap think you could take any of them I'd take that bet (from whatever tees you choose). Likewise with any professional tennis player. If you're not at least NCAA level skill and fitness, those ladies would be running circles around you.

    OK snowflake.

Shit. I'd lose at golf to every LPGA player and every professional tennis player. And I'm a single digit handicap and formerly ranked (in FL) junior tennis player.
  8. Obsession noted. I bet you name your sword.
  9. You’re the only one trying to dunk on people. I made it clear in my first post that this was just one piece of data and had yet to be peer reviewed. My thought was it was interesting and I look forward to seeing what, if anything develops from it. FWIW I have no opinion on the source of the virus and no vested interest in an outcome (lab versus animal).
  10. We don’t. I don’t think there has been any patient zero info from anyone (even Chinese govt). At least I haven’t seen it. Indeed. im curious to see what comes of this despite the condescending snark from @ana and knuckle dragging from Q-tards
  11. JFC you are insufferable. let’s see if this information pans out. Nothing has been published in a peer-reviewed publication. why do you have to be such a cunt? Your food posts are very good. The ones in here and the CR, not so much.
  12. Thread drift apology but had to brag on my peeps again in follow up to my posts in January after Sundance. “When You Left Me on That Boulevard” wins Special Jury Award in Texas Shorts competition last night at SXSW. woohoo!!!
  13. So is Bo redeemed now too after jumping into the waters?
