  1. I knew it. I'm surrounded by Ash-holes.
  2. The Freshwater Muffin has a ring to it as either a hippy hookah joint or a selection from a Louisiana escort service.
  3. I'd like to think CDC and important boosters would be willing to go ahead and pull the plug on Tom if it looks like he's on his 4th and 5th choices for our coordinator openings. I'd like to think that.
  4. The statement that appropriate action by the pilots likely saves the day still stands. And when every pilot on the thread repeats that while acknowledging the multitude of other failures involved then perhaps you only prove that you’re out of your depth when you run your mouth.
  5. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for bitchmanship, and you have it in spades.
  6. I’m fairly confident she put out after the Sugar Bowl.
  7. No, more suggestive of a triple expansion steam engine than using my trolling motor. Hiring a new staff buys the Tomtanic time, but a season only.
  8. We can’t screw this up. We just have to decide whether we want to go ahead and jump in the freezing water and die of hypothermia, or head back to our cabin and wait for it to implode as the Tomtanic plunges into the icy depths. The Meyerpathia wants no part of this rescue effort until the tragedy has played out.
  9. Uhh..do you even playing the Longhorns in their own state bro? If they cant get up for that, all the viagra in the world wont help them.. Let’s have a bit of a reality check here. “Beating Texas in their home state” doesn’t mean jack shit these days. The Ute players were somewhere between the 2nd and 5th grade in elementary school when Texas was last consistently relevant. Getting excited about beating By God Texas in San Antonio probably holds about as much as excitement and motivation for them as beating Tennessee in the Liberty Bowl or Florida State in the Whoever’ll Sponsor a Bowl in F’ing Orlando tilt. We’re all Texas fans here and tend to get wrapped up in our UT centric view of things, but Texas has been at best a paper tiger, and mostly just plain toilet paper for the last decade.
  10. Free Pizza.
  11. I’m saying that beating By God Texas probably isn’t high up on their motivation list. And yes, they may or may not want to be there. It’s hard to gauge interest level after a conference title loss.
  12. Yeah, it's nice to sit there with the "we're everybody's big game" mantra, but playing bad name teams in sh*tty bowls isn't a sure fire way to motivate human beings. They could come out flat or not, and it probably has nothing to do with a fantasy of beating up on the orange and white.
  13. They’ll probably destroy us and our interim staff, but I am dubious as to whether they’ll be motivated after their trouncing by Oregon. They may not be overly excited to be there.
  14. Is Lashlee actually running Sonny’s offense? I saw some Malzahn flavor in their attack, but is that window dressing added to Sonny’s own very credible offensive resume or is Rhett actually in control?
  15. Yup. First I knew was my first flight instructor who died in an aft loaded 1900 in CLT. Then my roommate in college my junior year decided to do an overhead and stall spun it into the ground. Amazing how many you know when you start adding it up.
  16. I can think of no better man to advise on lateral moves than Greg Davis given that Graham Harrel is our OC target.
  17. So really it will be a nickel over front with press man quarters behind, and stay pretty bland until 3rd down. He’ll be asking a lot of our safeties to correctly read and crash down on the run or help in pass coverage. We have the personnel to run this thought the LB’s will be young, and we’ll probably need to bring in a transfer for insurance.
  18. This. Clean box count leads to clean reads. Keep the S afraid for their lives with the deep shots, and let the rushing attack do work between the hashes. The QB usually knows pre snap if he’s throwing or handing off. The interesting thing is that one side of the field often doesn’t even bother to run a play. The WR’s on that side just stand at the LOS and take a breather. Small side note to that, against TTU we ran 5 wide with a rollout left, and hit DD on basically a smash concept. The WR on the far sideline, Epps maybe, never ran a route. He just stood there.
  19. Damnit. Blindsided.
  20. Yeaaahhhh, no.
  21. The Veer and Shoot doesn’t throw over the middle. It doesn’t have any routes between the hashes. I watched 5 seasons worth of that offense when we hired the Giblet to see what was coming. I saw a true crossing route run a handful of times. It was out of 21 personnel with the QB under center, and the pass was ALWAYS thrown to and completed into the flat to the back on that play. The middle of the field is reserved for the rushing attack and occasional TE silver bullets in the V/S. Shane didn’t struggle to throw there. There was no there, there.
  22. Nope. As an elite position coach you’d have some nice leverage in that situation. The school is going to pay you market rate, and give you 2-3 years of pay guaranteed. Maybe even with no offsets And future employers, who’ve all had to play that game at some point, will understand and still hire you when Battleship Herman founders in 2020. It also helps to think of life as an alpha dog coach who thinks he can do anything, and not like an average schluff picking between Cubicle Co. and Widget Bros.
  23. He was, but spilling champagne all over yourself on the flight to Austin, and then heading in for the interview probably went over about as well as a Warehime house call.
  24. Yeah, well did he take pics of himself romancing a shark in a boat? Because all that sounds amateurish in comparison.
