  1. It's amazing so many don't see that this was the endgame all along. Every "lean libertarian" dipshit always trying to convince us that we're the ones with the wool over our eyes who didn't abandon that ship in 2016 needs their face eaten repeatedly. Every "Christian" that excused the obvious depravity of the dishonorable conman from New York needs the rudest fucking awakening imaginable. Every country club Pub who didn't abandon ship and at least leave the President line blank in 2016 and on needs their trust fund or 401k cut down to "fuck I gotta actually work" levels. This country cannot be simply fixed. We know now it needs a hard reboot. In short:
  2. Then there's no room for her at Initech.
  3. Meh. That will come too late. Once the Pentagon is completely loyal to him, he won't even need public opinion on his side. The 2nd Amendment as bulwark against tyranny may get tested, though probably not. But if it is, we'll see how silly that BS is.
  4. My understanding of the 2019 ban is that it allowed contracts to complete so municipalities wouldn’t get sued, and the last contract in the state ran out last year sometime.
  5. Impeachment? Lol. Al Green just made the forthcoming states enemies list. The better question is whether the folks on that list “mysteriously” fall out of windows in the next few years, or if Trump/Musk secret death squads feel the need to jazz things up a bit.
  6. Can't? What physically prevents them? Why can't they disobey but write that they are really obeying? Why can't they write an opinion that, because <insert whatever the fuck>, now the 5th is supreme over its territory. Why can't they put their fingers in their ears and yell "I don't hear you" while disobeying? "Can't" isn't a word (yes, one word, that's what a contraction is) I would use about a dictator and the cunts that bend the knee, except when talking about things he lacks resources to do physically do, like colonizing Pluto or making OU not suck.
  7. Dems would fuck it up, for sure, if they somehow got the chance. But not to worry. There will be no more free elections, anyway. Not until well after this place burns.
  8. Neil Gorsuch titling a book "A Republic, If You Can Keep It" is the chef's kiss of the simulation. The most disappointing Episcopalian living today will absolutley vote in a way that will make clear to everyone but Trumpkins that the judiciary remains in place solely to keep up appearances. The cons on the court are either firmly team Dotard or fear losing status, comfort and wealth. There is a future as figureheads in the Trumpire. There is only uncertainty ahead in defying the enshittening machine. If the executive branch's unquestioned superiority results from less than a 6-3 vote, I'll be surprised. Court packing would follow a major loss, anyway.
  9. Yep. Jesus isn’t wasting his time and effort on the anthem. No glory in that anyway. He’s helping guys break tackles or catch passes. Maybe shed a block or two. Better ROI.
  10. Does it hurt being this stupid?
  11. Everyone who relied/relies on conventions and norms was/is a pussy. We're here because pussies led us here.
  12. They might stop just “being concerned” as the cattle car doors close in their faces.
  13. Has anyone, in the national press, called this what it is? The NYT, CNN, etc should all have in the biggest banner headlines they can run: ”TRUMP PLAN FOR GAZA: ETHNIC CLEANSING” Our press is weak. The opposition is pathetic. We are a frivolous and depraved country.
  14. I'll grant him this: when you make a sequel, the #1 rule is you make the same damn movie. He's making the same movie, but bigger, more explosions, more amazing shit. I'm waiting for the re-cast of McCain, though. I fear they may fuck that up like when Maggie Gyllenhaal replaced Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes. Still, it seems we are in for some compelling theater the next 4-15 years.
  15. Yeah, but that’s irrelevant because an Obama appointee once misfiled a TPS report. Because of this we must cheer on the Einsatzgruppen.
  16. Shadow docket. Aptly nicknamed. Democracy has been dying there, but by bit.
  17. That court’s impotence is laid bare for us all. Any order like you’re describing is vacated by SCOTUS and impeachment proceedings against that judge begin immediately. Any judge inclined to hold Elmo to account knows this, and every judicial dodge (justiciability , political question, wrong size font on the pleadings, etc.) would be employed to get out of it.
  18. With my short game, it’s likely to happen anyway. Maybe next time.
  19. The true Trumpers? Yep. The other 10% or so that just vote R because taxes and regulations, those will see their wallets empty and finally get angry. I’m not sure it will matter, though, once the Musk administration has put their folks at the top of the military, they can simply ignore the constitution at will. Then hold a sham constitutional convention which completes the coup. My point above is a few tweets and man on the street quotes are mere trifles. Nothing has changed yet, and I agree it probably will not.
  20. Whether it’s an island, orbit or another planet, absolutely this. See Elysium. Not a great movie, but, imo, fairly prescient.
  21. Played golf with a Trumper yesterday. He tried every couple holes to bait the rest of us into a discussion about how quickly Trump has been winning. Apparently the fentanyl problem is finished, the corrupt blue states are close to being brought to heel and the Dems who stole the money appropriated for new reservoirs in Cali are about to be indicted. The real pain hasn’t begun yet, and most of his people will need to feel it for months if not years before they’ll question their new god.
  22. They’re liars, cheats, and frauds, yet get elected rather easily and with the nearly unshakable loyalty of their base. Messaging is what they dominate at doing. Telling the truth about anything? Governing? Being virtuous in any way? Those are their weaknesses.
