It's sad for nostalgic reasons, but also pretty cool to see what's happened here.

When the site name had to change the first time, I wondered if anything would change with the feel of the board, but the shag just rolled along.

This was undeniably a bigger change, and I thought for sure it would take a few weeks to feel back to normal.  48 hrs later it felt like the same place, more or less.  It's the assholes, not the name or platform.

Granted, shaggy is arguably filled with more assholes now than before, just a more literal type.  Hope you enjoy poop gifs, Kevin, because that's what you bought.

Well if Kevin hadn't started no shit there wouldn't be no shit now would there?

He deserves every pile of poop he gets

Yeah.  It was dangerous 25 years ago, and quite a bit worse now with lots more traffic.  Every time I hear about an accident on it I cringe because of all the people I know who drive it twice a day.

Yeah same here, we have so many work crews to travel in and out on 290 I'm amazed we haven't lost someone yet.

Thank you there is a lot of good information in your post. I foolishly or maybe not, refuse pain medications 3 months ago because I was tired of having to jump through hoops and seeing the doctor every month which means missing a day from work every month. And went to Tylenol 4 instead. The relief they provided was minimal so I finally just quit taking them all together when the prescription ran out. I found out they were working better than I realized, especially after I went back to work in the field again climbing up and down embankments and header Banks not to mention climbing up and down off of equipment so I imagine I will be talking to my doctor Friday and admitting I was being hard headed made a mistake and should have listened to them

Oops quoted wrong posts was replying to Tripplehorn and thanks for the information again

Also interesting.. his response to Jordan Whittington tweeting at him about the gloves.

Okay I'm older than sin, but from my understanding Whittington is from Cuero. What relation is he to either Arthur or Alois Whittington, if any. I was in high school the same time as Arthur and that was one of the most phenomenally gifted athletes I have ever seen in high school. I remember reaching the tackle him a couple of times and I was within an inch of him and by the time I realized I miss him he was 20 yards behind me. To watch him run track was truly a thing to behold

  5. Tonight is the first night I've had a chance to watch the Spurs on TV this year. Like a lot of fans, in the past I've really dog on my  Ginobili but my God watching him play tonight is one of the most painful things I've ever done. It is really sad he still has so much heart but the legs just won't carry and very far. Spurs fan for life

  6. The first thing in my opinion is before they can come up with accurate statistics is that they need to quit limping in heroin overdoses and death with prescription medication overdoses and death.

Another factor I am curious about is how many people that seriously need pain medications, but cannot get them do something foolish like move on to heroin or fentanyl that can be purchased on the street. I've been in chronic pain since I lost my leg at 38 years old and here I am 32 surgeries later hurting like hell and every time I've tried to get help and yes I mean a pain prescription I'm treated like a freaking Criminal. The last pain management clinic they sent me to wanted to do injections on both shoulders. They did and I heard worse for the next 2 months than I had previously. So yes I understand there's a problem out there but I guarantee you there's a lot of people hurt so bad they wish they were dead also
