  1. He’s actually likely to play for Dortmund in the Club World Cuo this summer. Watch him bag a few goals now. 🤣
  2. Fuck Tim Thomas. Don’t even care if he was with the Mavs for a minute.
  3. I'm signed up with FIFA for the ticket announcement or whatever. What are my actual odds at landing a couple of tickets to a US group stage game? I honestly don't know any other way to try to get them except paying crazy fees on the secondary market.
  4. Come back to this post on June 11th, 2026 and tell us you still feel that way. My dad HATED soccer so I never even knew we had the World Cup in the US in 1994, much less that we had a game 20 minutes from my house. I have a 7-year-old who is now super into soccer and I will be taking him to as many games as we can possibly go to. 20 years from now, the memories of having that experience is going to far outweigh any cloak room aspects that are happening in our current time. I don't disagree with any of the other things you mentioned, but my unsolicited advice is not to let those things rob you of an awesome experience we will likely not have again in our lifetime.
  5. Weah and McKinney qualify (barely) for Champions League next year. Juve have a lot of work to do to get back to the level they’re used to.
  6. Brian White is as spare as they come. Not sure why he keeps getting callups. I'm interested to see Berhalter. He's had a very good season in MLS.
  7. Count me as one that has the alarm bells ringing with Poch at this point. This dude does not seem to understand the timeline he's on. You can heavily rotate the squad in the group stage in the Gold Cup so the players avoid getting run down.
  8. I don't think I'll ever get over Nico purposely tanking a championship window. It was absolutely there for the taking with this roster.
  9. Just want to say how frustrating it is to watch two teams the Mavs beat last year play in the western conference finals. I think we take either of them and are in the finals without having to play Boston.
  10. Exactly. My BIL was always leaning Trump anyway, but hearing him and his buddies talk about how Trump went on podcasts for 3 hours, they had a lot of respect for him putting himself out there in the places they consume media, even if they thought some of the stuff he said was idiotic. They knew nothing of Kamala but what they were told on these platforms. Obviously, some shows simply aren't going to have Dems on, but you cannot gift the GOP 3 hours to spew BS without trying to counteract it--not when the reach of these shows are what they are.
  11. The problem with this is you would, once again, just be conceding this generation. Even if they are supporting any of these items you listed, it doesn't mean they aren't able to be swayed off of them. I used to think wealthy people were extremely intelligent, and then I grew up. So to me, yes, it's bigger than media platforms, podcasts, etc. If you want to win races, you have to acknowledge where the populace is and address it accordingly. Right now we have a signficant portion of the Democratic party that don't even want to try. That's a massive problem.
  12. Man...as someone who was very Republican when I was 18-22 but now haven't voted for a GOP Presidential candidate since Bush, I find it very odd people think the play is to just give up on a generation of young, male voters. 18-22 was very transformative for me as I was finally exposed to a lot of different views at UT which caused me to question my worldview. Some of it was solidified, other parts have shifted drastically. You have to reach people where they are and the Dems are doing a terrible job of that (shocking).
  13. Klay would have absolutely been helpful if we had kept the roster in place. Look at Klay's numbers when Luka came back in December. He had one dud game against Memphis, but after that and up until Luka got hurt, he shot 51% from 3 and averaged 18 points per game. That was all while averaging only 25 minutes per game.
  14. This is where I'm at as well. Nico has already stated he sees this as a 3-4 year window and he's out. It would be criminal to let him trade an absolute bailout for this franchise by using it as capital to bolster a 2-3 year window. It's the perfect opportunity to oust this bozo and let the more qualified candidates lineup.
  15. Man….think about how pumped we should be for this but most of us are concerned this GM is going to screw up…again. You cannot fully rule out the possibility he uses this to get KD. He doesn’t care about this franchise beyond 3 years from now. Flagg does not turn this roster into a contender next year.
  16. You’re right. They could have traded up to get the number 3 pick by taking on salary but they wouldn’t do it and decided to trade draft picks instead. Got that mixed up.
  17. If ever Dumont wanted to hit a reset button, now is the time.
  18. I can’t even feel good about this because I honestly don’t know if Nico is actually going to do the smart thing and keep the pick. I personally think they need to draft Flagg and trade Kyrie and AD for quality picks to put around him for the next 5-7 years.
  19. They also didn’t tank properly that season. If they had, they wouldn’t have had to trade another pick to get Luka.
  20. Hard not to say this isn’t rigged. I honestly don’t know what else to say.
  21. I'll be at the Dallas one. Bringing the 7-year old to his first USMNT match. Hopefully we have the full squad.
  22. I hope you're right. I'm just assuming the worst possible outcome at each step at this point. If fans are going to be enraged regardless, it makes no sense to keep him. They can start repairing the relationship now or let this spiral even worse when we have nothing to build a team around in 2 years.
  23. I will say, in the 10 minutes or so I listened, Nico was more composed than I thought he'd be. I didn't leave it thinking he's getting canned as soon as this is over.
  24. Another Article from Tim Cato Took some of the relevant portions from Reddit: However, those team sources consistently express belief that Dumont no longer sees Harrison as a figure with irreproachable basketball expertise. Most notably, team and league sources say, Dumont has had frustration with Harrison not warning him — or, perhaps even more damningly, being unaware — of the fandom's outrage following the trade. Those same sources say it had some influence over Dumont's decision to make Harrison appear for last week's closed media event, which Harrison did not want to participate in. While Kidd was understandably frustrated this season with the team's injury crisis, he also resented the front office's midseason Dončić trade, multiple team and league sources say, even if he shared some of Harrison's frustrations with Dončić that led to his trade of him. That Kidd felt he had been asked to reinvent what had been a roster built around one specific star, team and league sources say, led to the midseason exasperation that notably culminated in him skipping a league-mandated post-game press conference in February.
  25. I heard the Ticket is carrying it live, but I'm unclear about a video stream.
