  1. Not like it’s an unprecedented situation.

Sorry, but all of this reminded me of this meme. Real pic of the actor/actress, then and now. More cool than lulz, seeing as how they’re still close friends.

  2. Yes and no to your underlined sentence (full agreement on your second sentence).
And, it depends on how we define "alpha" -- if you try to fully match it up to what we thought the wolfpack definition was, no, it doesn't work.  But there ARE men who are natural leaders and command others.  I've seen it WAY too many times, I know it's real.  Any man who has been a member of a team (sports, military, large organization) has that experience.  There are just natural team leaders.  It happens and sorts that way, rather quickly.  It doesn't mean that the "alpha" in one situation will necessarily be an alpha in every situation (the clear team leader on a football team may not be the leader later in life when he's working on a business team).  And I'll suggest that part of true "alpha" conduct is to NOT be tied up in status, but rather results: a real "alpha" doesn't play like insecure Donny Trump and say "I know more about nuclear energy than anyone."  A real alpha gathers info, listens to knowledgeable people, and then makes and executes on a decision.  He's an "alpha" because he's secure enough in his status that he's not afraid to get information that may disagree with his initial inclination/instinct, and he can act on that new information.....and importantly, people will FOLLOW HIS LEAD.
Maybe a better term is "boss."  But even then, it doesn't really capture the full spectrum of what we're talking about.  It's just good leadership.
In BOB, Dick Winters was an "alpha."  Sobel was not.  It had nothing to do with their rank.  It had everything to do with how they took and exercised leadership.
These pathetic bastards think you're an "alpha" because you roid up and yell at people and wear tactical underwear and shit like that.  They have literally everything about the issue wrong.

Sounds like something a gay-tarded little beta would say.

  3. My sister has a horse barn on 32 acres on Hwy 27 just outside of Comfort (12 miles from Kerrville). I’m probably gonna have some folks out there if anyone is interested. It’s far enough away from Kerrville to not get cluster-fucked by traffic, and close enough to I-10 to make your getaway when it’s over.

  4. Well, she was probably a Russian sycophant before she left Ukraine for here. But that’s, yikes. Did she vote to veto the Ukraine aid bill(s)?

According to my “friend” from Ukraine, this is absolutely the case.

  5. I’m here for a week, installing a sound barrier wall for TXDot. It’s been a minute since I’ve been here. I’m parked out by Dyess AFB trying to get a good video of a Bone either taking off or coming in on approach. Saw about 20 of them fly over me today, and now, crickets.

Any bar recommendations? Staying at the Marriott by the mall. And it ain’t hopping.

  6. I didn't grow up there, but my dad managed and lived on a ranch down near EP in the mid-2000s. His foreman was eventually rounded up by the feds for being a Zetas cartel agent. I hung out with his kids several times, I don't think they even knew. My grandpa was the executor of an estate that held a ranch down outside of Catarina that I went to every year as a kid up until the year I graduated HS. Every single year we would hand food and jugs of water to desperate migrants (I would estimate at least a dozen or so every summer and fall, and sometimes a few in the winter) and they all went on their way after thanking us. Thinking back now about where we were, I doubt even half of them ended up surviving.
I cannot personally imagine how any of these people became so frightened of Mexicans, or whatever other Latin country's denizens they're most afraid of. You have to just spend your life never interacting with anyone outside your shitty Dallas suburb, I guess.

My dad and I did the same on our lease in Del Rio. If I ever obtain that lease again, my son and I will do exactly what my father and I did.

  7. I've never been to a drag show, but I've pulled more than a few girls from gay bars because I don't give a fuck if a guy hits on me. Now, being the straight guy that they all want to blow and turn gay can get exhausting after a few hours, but oh well.

Out of all of the things that didn’t happen, this ^^^^ didn’t happen the most.

  8. What's a dead baby in a microwave look like?
    Spoiler

I don't know. I close my eyes when I masturbate.

    I always heard it as:
What’s the hardest thing about putting a baby in a microwave?

    My cock.

  9. CDL drivers have drug and alcohol issues too, the recently created national clearinghouse has something like a 10% reapplication rate for drivers to try and get back in, so 90% just say fuck it and find some other job without as strict drug and alcohol testing. Let that sink in.

  10. Who in THE FUCK thought it was good idea to cross those two????

Nobody. It didn’t happen. Dipshits claim to crossbreed venomous sneks, and it’s complete bullshit.

  11. Reminds me of something they would do on Jackass

I laughed my ass off watching that video. But, having done that before with a pitching machine in my youth, I can tell you with absolute certainty, that at 94 mph, it’s extremely different being hit when you’re expecting it, than being hit when you’re not.
