  1. I wonder if Billy Liucci, who looks like he has meth for breakfast, has even been in a fight?
He sure talks tough on Twitter.

I’ve told the story too many times on this thread, but yes, I know for certain he was in one fight.

  2. Yup, pretty simple. But let's be clear, if he was a 5 star phenom and healthy, he'd have been accepted back with open arms. That might be the "double standard" claim, but I don't see how it flies in this business. Kiffin is still a scumbag regardless of how one views this particular incident.

    Cotton Bowl record brah.
  3. What is it?

Grey rat snek. Sometimes the babies can be extremely light in color.
Pretty sure I’ve seen these on this thread, but what is this guy?

    Awesome snek.
  4. Picked up little man at FBMS this afternoon. We immediately headed to Kerrville to visit his grandparents. I asked him about the fight that took place on the first day. He said that it “was crazy”.
Apparently, a 7th grader and beat the brakes off of an 8th grade bully. After the 7th grader was restrained by admin, the 8th grader ran around and threw a behind the back cheap shot, right into his temple. Fortunately, it didn’t faze the 7th grader.
One of my son’s friends was there, and of course, got it on his phone. After a second, I said, “do you have it”?
He did. He showed it to me, and even though it was muted, literally everything he described was true about the fight.
Little Homesick knows the 7th grader, and they call him Big Thomas. My son, and his friends that I gave rides home to today, claim he’s a gentle giant, and one of the nicest, quietest guys in their grade.

There were not a ton of kids around when it happened, which is why I think the admin response time wasn’t immediate. I know this is shitty, but a bully picking on a kid and getting the hard truth isn’t something I completely oppose. It’s just the here and now of the situation that scares the shit out of me.

  5. aggy will almost assuredly win one of those games. They always manage to show up and surprise someone.

Agreeing with you means that my alma mater stands to draw the short straw in this scenario. So I will not agree with you sir.
  6. First day of school, no crossing guards.  Second day of school, no crossing guards.  This is for Oak Forest Elementary.   They fired the SPED teacher, replaced her with a regular 4th-grade teacher with no specialty (SPED training) and increased class sizes to 28 kids.   The Texas legislature target is 22 kids/class.  So the TEA needs exceptions from the TEAs rules?
On the first day of middle school (Frank Black) there was a fight.  My 6th grader has a teacher that told children they could not look out the window, she has a kindergarten-sized desk to embarrass kids whose eyes wander, told the students need to make eye contact, and have 45 seconds to do this task, 45 to that, 15 for another, etc. and decided to hold them after the bell just to fuck with them.   She also sent home a syllabus with instructions for the parents on supplies (what notebooks I could buy, what type of pencil sharpeners, etc.) and asked the kids to sign it and for the parents to complete a survey that had only single-option answers supporting her position.   I filled it out and let her know I disagreed with XYZ, this is middle school, not the United States Marine Corps, and then communicated with the school my son needs a new teacher as this one is unfit for the role without a full-time aide to reign her in.
I am prepared to write a note (which may contain words like 'cunt' and my phone number) and give it to my son to hand to the teacher in the event he feels it necessary for me to intervene.   The dumb cunt wants the kids to have an app on their mobile devices but not let them use their mobile devices.  It is against my belief to give a kid a phone, she also informed us the kid will have to figure out their own grade.
Then I receive a tone-def email from the principal celebrating a great start to the school year.  One that started with a fist-fight amongst some 8th graders.   I guess she has the "at least no one got raped" mentality.

I’m pretty sure my son had the same teacher last year, as he just started his 7th grade year at FBMS. I’ve received the exact same emails/texts. He mentioned the fight on the phone with me. He also explained that the place is basically a cluster fuck when it comes to supplies, athletic clothes ordered, and technology that they’re still waiting on.
The stories he told me last year were thread worthy (but he was also 11 years old at the time, 12 now).
I want him out of Houston.

  7. Man I hated clothes off the line. The jeans were stiff as hell and every now and then had a wasp in a pant leg.

I’ve got to disagree with you. It was only on our ranch growing up, but I used to love the way clothes-line dried clothes felt. Maybe it’s just nostalgic for me, but I remember loving them.
Back to the regularly scheduled Facebook shenanigans.

  8. Oher is looking like a dumbass early on.
On the flip side, it’s hilarious that people are naive enough to think Ole Miss boosters adopted/took in/whatevere’d a physically huge and athletically gifted black kid just out of the goodness of their heart. Book and movie were formulaic bullshit.

  9. Just unloaded my trailer and pulled into Kerrville. Stopped by a bar that one of my best girlfriends since 6th grade runs. It’s a tradition that I swing by and say hey. Getting out of my truck, about to walk in, and here’s the glory.

    Ahhhhhhhh, Kerrville.

    I’ll keep y’all posted.

  10. Also, having met the Touys (parents) the actors did an outstanding job of portraying them. I read the initial story (Of Michael), and reached out to my friends who played football at Ole Miss and have connections to the athletic department. They basically rolled their eyes, and said it was better to let Hollywood portray it, because there was a ton of shit that was stated publicly, but never tracked. Sucks to be a Rebel/Bear/Shark, I guess.
