So I looked over all of our schedules and under Shaka before tonight Texas is 22-28 in games decided by 5 points or less. Shaka is fucking terrible in close games.
22-28.
Well, when you can't make a late FT or open jumper or keep from turning the ball over or get a rebound, it's kinda hard.

“Big” doesn’t seem to adequately describe 6-7, 330. That dude has his own gravitational field.

Have to like this “signing.” With health on the OL this year, we hopefully can play everyone in their most natural positions.
-
So that’s what a clean play by the middle infield looks like.

Let’s add a couple. And by that I mean a couple dozen.
-
A team reflects its coach. Maybe not on any given play or game, but after awhile that’s who the team becomes. And Shaka’s teams play as if they know there are going to be clutch meltdowns, both physical and mental. Through a void of leadership (perhaps somewhat related to difficulty identifying prospects with the right mental attributes), Shaka’s Texas teams have been trained to believe they’re losers. It’s now virtually self-fulfilling.

I hope Kawhi never wins a championship again.
I once was largely ambivalent about Toronto but really had nada specific against them. This year, though, I’ve become a big Bucks fan.

For his sake and the team’s, it’s just a shame Hamilton is out.
-
Ellis immediately raising his arm and going into a trot after his oppo shot was just an awesome sports moment. Exciting and hilarious at the same time.

This is the bulldog I thought I saw in Elder last year. Great so far tonight.

Regardless Hess is impressive.
No question about that. Maybe we’ll look better the next time through.

We appear to have never heard of this thing called a “breaking” ball.

How anemic.

This thread is making me hungry. Not for vegan chili, though. I'm thawing out some venison and making the real deal.

Well, I was hoping Pau would do something to help the Spurs this season. He finally did.

TTU got a couple of commitments the last couple of days.
Got an athlete out of Bishop Gorman (Donovan Smith ) who fancies himself a dual threat QB but played WR last year. At 6-4, catching passes is likely to be where he ends up I'd guess. He's the TT RB coach's son and will now move to Lubbock to play his senior year..
Dont know where else to put this (please, nobody say I'll tell you where you can put it), but they also got a commitment from Lubbock Cooper freshman safety Kobie Mckinzie. Already at 6-3, 225, he's likely to be a 5 star type as he already had 6 offers including one from Oklahoma State.
That said, I refuse to give a lot of thought to a commitment who hasn't even completed his freshman year in high school yet. Life long (as short as it's been) Tech fan who's been around the program a good while now.
I'll crawl out on a limb and say that if you're 6-3, 225 as a freshman in high school, safety isn't your most likely position in college.

So Johnny Wilson never even considered going out of state until Texas came calling. Now the two biggest threats to Texas are Oregon and Washington.
Hmmm. So after Texas offered, he went from not thinking about leaving California at all to considering only OOS schools?

I’ve never seen a college team rebound that poorly for that long a stretch. If I hadn’t actually watched it happen, I’d have said the scorekeeper falsified the stats.
Smart makes every other coach in the league look like Gregg Popovich.
-
Go 6-11 on FTs if you want to gag away a game.
-
I’ve never seen a worse-coached Texas team.

Tough shot.

Those guys aren’t “Texas good.” Signing such commoners is beneath us. We’d rather brag about our class ranking of guys with dazzling measurable than hustle up some actual players.
