A lot of people think the Cubs winning in 2016 "fixed" it. I happen to think it occurred a year later, with the Astros winning the title.
Seriously, speeding up the pitch cadence and not letting every batter take five minutes between pitches, a la Mike Hargrove, has helped quite a bit. So too has the (allegedly) smoother ball almost no one can throw with a big break to it. Flatter pitches getting grooved and then scattered 400-plus feet from home plate has made for some pretty watchable games.

I went 72-70 on some nondescript course near Hilton Head a few years back. Yes, that was for 18. As you can see, I started getting it together a little on the back 9.

Maybe instead of his NFL career sputtering to a premature end (like his college career) because he's hard-headed, Warren's NFL career will be a failure to launch. Dummy.
So...physical giant, mental midget? Flip another coin, Chris.

And chainsaws and shit
In short, just have a category labeled "For Men." That's clear enough.

I realize nothing else in MLB is as significant as what Aaron Judge had for breakfast today, but hopefully the Astros can get the season off to a solid start.

Epic. I expect many repostings of this throughout the remainder of his glorious career.

On a sad note, 1 of the original Colt 45/Astros, Rusty Staub died. He was signed by the Colt 45s in 1961. Astros traded him to the Expos in 1969.
RIP, Le Grande Orange.

Who else should Noah Cain's recruiting be about?
Anyone signing on to play for Texas needs to understand the decision has zero to do with anything as trivial as their own education or athletic development. It should be all about making the regulars on this board proud to be Longhorn fans. I don't know why that's so hard for some players to get their heads around.

Might be a whole new team next year.
Oh, dear. We might suddenly have trouble shooting threes and hitting free throws and rebounding.

Rumor of an attack that led to penetration, but no physical evidence of it? Sounds like just another Tim Beck drive.

So...transferring to Louisville?

He still trying to make "the Station" work? That don't make it sound anymore appealing Tim.
At least “we’re gonna need you to come down to the staton” is a statement with which many aggy croots are familiar.

Speaking of danger_snax, whenever he wakes from his bake and finds the shag deserted..
He's gonna freak out...man.
He's one of only two people I finally just put on "ignore." Even if I'd thought he was actually trying to communicate some cognitive thought (which I still doubt), I knew I wasn't savvy enough to decode it anyway.

Not only do we need an outdoors category, we then need to divvy it into a number of more specific activities. As noted, there's no shortage of possibilities.
And yes, hunting exotics is cool...with a wide range of locations, weapons, etc. Texas is obviously the epicenter of the universe on that.

I am now fully on board the tank train. Watching this team in the playoffs is really gonna suck.
If we go ahead and drop our remaining games, we'll end up with another winning season but hopefully fall into the lottery. At least that would bring some additional off-season hope. That said, the very notion of missing the playoffs makes me queasy.

Could you imagine our 2 backs being Cain and Sanders? Dear lord
No, actually, I can't. At this point, one or the other would be sweet. But I'd love to have my mind changed about that "package" deal.

I'm not watching anywhere, but sounds like a reasonably competitive game with some solid pitching on our side. Nice.
-
I spoke too soon. Our guards are picking up the pace. Now a collective 8-32, I think. Ah, the beautiful game.
-
Guards are having trouble throwing it into the Potomac. But what else is new?

Damn, Stingley looks really good in there; Wilson as well - would have loved to see a matchup between the two
So would I. Every day in practice on our field.

NE Iowa is some nice country, Al. Find any shed antlers in that bottom?

Turkeys are one of the best ways to get kids hooked on the woods. If there are any gobblers around, a pop-up blind and a decoy can make for some pretty reliable shooting...even with fidgety kids. Of course, then you still have to figure out what to do with the turkey.

To spice it up a bit for the casual fan, I guess we could add "artistic merit" to the scoring. Creative bat flips, cup adjustments and pirouetting gayly while turning the double play could push your team up a few percentage points in a year-end tiebreaker. Maybe go with capes on the outfielders.
