I don't think you get dinged in the team rankings for specialists. It'll hurt your average star rating, but not the overall ranking. Still, agree that we probably won't end up #1. But top 3-5 seems likely.
announcing his decision literally at the same time Kirby Smart is speaking at SEC media days is some diabolical bullshit. georgia's been on this kid for like 4 years. i can see why they're salty. lulz
Pat McAfee is the college football version of Aaron Rodgers and Joe Rogan. He's for dumb-as-shit 20-something white man-children who all think they're "alphas", swear by the carnivore diet, and couldn't find a clitoris if you expanded it ten-fold and provided GPS.
LOL. Rivals is just now releasing it's initial rankings for the 2026 class?
Are Rivals and On3 just consolidating into one service now? Does that mean ESPN's dogshit rankings will have additional weight in the composite rankings? That would be funny.
Edit: Looks like Rivals dropped Wesley from #6 to #24 nationally.
Maybe a dumb question - how much does Texas have tied up retaining the current roster? How much "salary cap" do they have for this incoming class? Do we have any idea?
I guess I'm wondering how all these programs are reconciling the new "cap" with what has already been committed to the current roster. I had assumed we were already well over $20m with just the current guys on the team.
Honestly, Carlton is exactly the kind of guy a program like Baylor (and previously Tech, before the Double Eagle guys came around) should be looking to money-whip. He's not quite good enough for UT or Ohio State to blow a huge bag on because they'll have higher-profile targets. But Baylor could offer more and make him one of the focal points of the defense. If he turns into a stud, he could have a bigger impact there than he might have splitting time at Texas.
I look at it like this - we may have lost a recruit, but we gained a villain.
How much fun was it saying "fuck the brocks" and then watching them such shit through a straw at Bama? The answer? A FUCK TON of fun.
Now we get to do that with Ojo, but instead of sucking at a real program like Bama, he went to fucking Texas Tech! Hilarious!
