Cavill is 40 and could carry it for a decade.  Craig carried it into his early 50s.

While I agree with you, it doesn't matter. The producers have been very publicly saying they want someone in their early 30s. In the minds of the people making the decision, he's too old.

We should consider a pickling and fermented salsa/sauces thread. I know irishtexan had a fermented table sauce somewhere I meant to try, but lost track of. Fermented salsas are on my list to try this year.

I’ve got a yellow sauce fermenting right now. This is 13 habaneros, a large orange sweet Mediterranean pepper I got at central market, a very large mango, one large carrot, and a 2 inch piece of ginger. Will add confit garlic cloves when blending, along with some of the oil, some brine, and some plain vinegar.

You basically just dissolve three tablespoons of pickling/sea salt into a quart of water. Submerge veggies in salt water in bell jar. Weigh the veggies down so they’re fully submerged, cover with a fermentation lid and let it sit out of direct sunlight for a week or two.

Just put a bunch of peppers in the garden. Have japs, Serranos, Fresno, cayenne, and habaneros. Hope to be making a lot of hot sauce this summer.

Also, I've tried fermenting dill pickles and I did not care for them at all. I prefer a vinegar pickle or even a quick-salted pickle on cukes instead of a half-sour or full-sour pickle that's been fermented.

None of whom played under the current regime.

Which shows continuity in their ability to develop WRs across head coaches and position coaches. If you don't think their history in putting first-round NFL All-Pro and Pro-Bowl players in the league for the last decade doesn't resonate with WR recruits, then I don't know what to tell you. We haven't had a WR drafted in the first round since Roy Williams 20 years ago, and if we break that streak this year, LSU will likely have two WRs off the board before our first WR is selected. Both of whom played under the current regime.

  4. It's an italian beef, but when ordering just say "gimme a beef hot and sweet". Don't say "italian hot beef". You'll be made a mark and you'll get swindled. I recommend you try a combo hot and sweet.

Dispensaries are all over the city. I don't smoke weed. Only eat edibles. But I can't imagine they're much different. Just go to one in a nice neighborhood and they'll probably have what you need.

Gonna have to know what dining experiences you want and where you'll be hanging out to make recommendations. There are a million different amazing restaurants in Chicago. But since you've already embarrassingly admitted you didn't care for Pequod's you might be a lost cause and should just eat at McDonald's every day. They're everywhere in Chicago.

Without going CR, does anyone have context for the bank photographer video? I can't tell why the dude was filming in the first place.

I've seen that video before. Not sure if he was a bank photographer or a property inspector/surveyor, or what he was doing. Black dud was taking photos of a house for whatever reason and old white guy sees black guy in street taking photos, appoints himself neighborhood watch captain, comes out to confront him, fucks around, and finds out.

  6. I prefer to marinate my own skirt steak for fajitas, but the pre-marinated chicken thigh "fajitas" (in quotes for all you pedantic fajita purists) are really fucking good for a quick easy dinner.

But be careful so that you accidentally don't get the "spicy" version, because they don't fuck around. Kids cannot eat the spicy fajitas. In fact, it's one of the only times that something labeled "spicy" has actually been exceptionally spicy.

My wife is going through it.  So, I try to be understanding and let things slide when she blows a fuse.

I also make sure we have plenty of Wild Turkey 101 in the cabinet and seems a drink or two each night helps.  Both of us.

We are literally living the exact same life.

But who even cares? The kid can do whatever anyone else can in regards to NIL.

He is a superb talent and seems to be the ultimate team player. Aggies know nothing about that.

I don't. And I don't bring this up w/r/t what those fucking imbeciles on Texags think. They're lunatics.

I just think parroting this line that "Arch isn't taking any NIL until he's a starter" is an absurd PR function. He seems like a great dude with a great head on his shoulders with a support system that doesn't require he maximize NIL. But let's stop pretending the kid isn't getting paid anything. Unless I'm wrong and he's not actually getting anything. Which is sorta why I asked the question in the first place. I suppose I should have brought this up in the NIL mega thread.

Morons. The fucking video game was the original lawsuit for using a player's NIL. He's not taking NIL money until he's a starter. Those idiots know that.

I know this is what the Mannings and the program are saying publicly, but does anyone really believe this? That Arch is getting zero NIL funds last year and this year and all he gets is his scholarship? I find that impossible to believe.

  10. My wife went through menopause at 39. Had our last kid at the age of 38 and she never got another period. It's like our son was the very last egg. I think that's why he's such a pain in the ass.

But she's handled it like a champ. Key seemed to be getting on the right combination of hormones. She went back on the pill for more estrogen (tried a few different pills). Once we found the right combination it's been pretty manageable. She had mild temperature changes and didn't have terrible mood swings. Other than the fact that it came about a decade earlier than it should have, fortunately it hasn't been too terrible on her. Now she's just paranoid that she's going to drop dead because her "body is shutting down."

The most difficult part of this for husbands is definitely a decrease in sex drive. It's very, very real. She says she just literally never thinks about it, but once we are "in the moment" it's enjoyable. Scheduling sex has worked for us so that she is mentally prepared and ready to participate. It's not the sexiest, but it works. She's been a trooper about that as well.

  11. I fucking hate that we've got to the point where a story comes out like this and I can't even remember "someone killed 18 people in Maine" because it all just blurs together into a terrifying collage of tragedy after tragedy

The crowd in Miami Beach has gone downhill severely since the 90s and 2000s. Smell of rag weed everywhere, disgusting fatties in skimpy outfits they shouldn’t wear, etc. They need more Financial Times reading tourists and Euros to come back.

It's funny that the things you've taken issue with are the aroma of poor quality marijuana and large women in small swimsuits and not the shootings and all-night anarchy.

There was never any plan for surge pricing.

I mean, that's what they're saying now after everyone said "Wendy's can get fucked" with this dynamic pricing bullshit. My personal opinion is that they ABSOLUTELY meant surge pricing and only said "no wait everyone, we didn't mean SURGE pricing! We meant pricing would go DOWN!" after everyone realized Wendy's isn't good enough to get away with that shit.
