I've known several married couples that "opened" their marriage up. All are now divorced.

I'm digging it so far. Liking the callbacks to season 1. Interested to see how Rust Cohle's ghost dad plays into this. The Tuttle connection could be interesting. I'm not hating any of the characters too much. Jodi Foster has been great. I'm excited. It's been much better than the first few episodes of the last two seasons.

My kid's school drop off line was a clusterfuck this morning.
Multiple parents physically getting out of the car to walk their precious cargo 10 feet to the safety of the awning when you're not supposed to get out of the car. Jamming up the line for everyone else whose kids know they're not going to melt walking in 10 feet of light rain. I swear to god....

Interesting that there is very little, if any, love for L'Oca d'Oro here.
It's our go-to and consistently great.
Wife and I went there last night for the first time for our anniversary. We splurged because anniversary - got the olives, fresh mozz, and kale salad apps. For entrees we got the Tortelli all’Arrabbiata and the carbonara. Add in a tiramisu, three glasses of wine, an old fashioned, and two espressos.
We were both pretty underwhelmed. Everything was "pretty good" but nothing blew me away, and for what we paid, I expected at least something to be memorable. Carbonara was good but not great. Tortelli Arrabbiata was very spicy to the point that it overpowered all other flavors. Tortellis had almost no filling, but even if they had more filling, doubt you would have tasted anything because the spice was so overpowering. Service was good. They automatically apply a 20% charge to help pay for health care and give their staff a living wage. Which I am all in favor of. But they don't call it a tip, and say that you can add an additional gratuity on the top. So it's not clear how all that washes out, which was confusing, Don't think we'll go back.

Let's not do this. It's not funny, and frankly, it's racist.

It's all a crapshoot. Josh Allen went 8-6 and 8-5 his only two full seasons starting at Wyoming. His completion percentage was 56% both seasons. His TD/Pick was 28/15 and 16/6. He wasn't a "winner" and I thought he was gonna suck. But he's now a top-5 NFL QB.
I also thought Mahomes was gonna suck. It seems to be more about getting in the right situation with the right coaches, and the right supporting cast as much as talent and "winning."
Also, being a winner in college doesn't really seem to be much of an indicator for NFL success, even though that's why JJ McCarthy is being touted as a top-15 pick in this year's draft.
Who fucking knows.

They can be better than what we've faced in the big 12, but also still ass. Those hot takes aren't mutually exclusive...

J Whitt was EXACTLY what we needed at the 3 spot. Dude almost NEVER dropped a ball, was absolutely clutch on 3rd down conversions, always picked up tough YAC, was an enthusiastic blocker, and never complained that he wasn't getting the ball more. He's one of my favorite dudes on the this year's team.
I'm stoked if we get Bond, but the appropriate reaction is to hope for similar production as AD and not expect it. But AD wasn't exactly a sure thing when he transferred either. He had excelled in playoff games, but was hurt in 2022 and put up good but not great numbers in 2021. Maybe we get the same from Bond. But we also don't have anyone as proven as Worthy on the roster. There's a fuck-ton of potential, but none of it is proven.

The absolute worst was that little pause right after "class" while the TRS-80 that was running TEX did whatever the fuck it was doing behind the scenes, "This class was.... (hold your breath, pray, cross fingers, make pagan sacrifice, etc.) ...not added. It was just a half a beat, but it seemed like 10 minutes, followed by me screaming every cuss word I could think of at the phone. Fuck you TEX and the PTSD this thread is causing me.
Yep. Hate Tex. Fuck you, Tex. More than a quarter century has passed and I still have ptsd from his fuckery.

I see them in tiers:
Tier 1: Ohio State (number 1 overall. they've got everything except market and even still, Columbus isn't a small town), Texas (resources, recruiting, national brand), USC (history and market), Georgia (recent dominance. they might be tier 2 for the next coach though)
Tier 2: Michigan, Alabama
Tier 3: LSU, Florida, OU
Tier 4: Notre Dame
Tier 5: A&M, Tennessee, Penn State, maybe Auburn?

Ryan Williams come on down!
Edit: Serious question - do their 2024 signees get released from their NLI if they want to go somewhere without incurring a transfer?

A couple of posters on 247 that appear to have a history as insiders are posting on a thread right now. It's good shit, from our perspective.
Grimes was paid $200k after being benched at UNC to come sit the bench at ATM. $$ guys that got to know Mack back in the day asked him about that decision. He apparently told them that he couldn't figure out what Jimbo was doing at that point.
Jackie Sherrill was shitting on the Fisher hire from day one but was never consulted. He's done a round of "I told you so" with the money, pissing some of them off who feel like he should have been listened to more during the process.
"Everyone else was on board with the Fisher hire. Not so much with Elko. He's going to have to prove himself."
Apparently RC Slocum was front and center in vetoing the Stoops deal and pushing for Elko. He's in the ear of the two biggest donors, who also happen to be the guys that are paying Fisher.
They expect to lose more guys. "We're working with some of them closely, but we'll see" doesn't sound reassuring.
Elko isn't impressing many with his coach hiring process.
I gotta admit… I thought RC and Jackie were dead.
They’re 79 and 80 respectively. It’s big fun that their two best coaches of the last 40 (maybe 70?) years are now octogenarians and are taking big shits on all of their coaching hires. Chef’s kiss. A+.- 9

Asking "why does God hate us" is very on-brand because it deflects all responsibility for their current situation to forces outside of their control, when the reason they suck is only because of their own dumbfuckery. I find it hilarious that the church-going family values Aggy God has chosen to anoint the team in blasphemous morally-bankrupt librul Austin instead of the righteous team from College Station! Why hast thou forsaken us, red-ass Jesus? We hump it in honor you every Saturday yet you do not reward us!
Keep blaming everyone but yourself, Aggy.
