  1. I can't tell if it's Biele-ma, or Biel-e-ma. I've got a source in the northwest Iowa asshole Dutchmen community. I'll find out and report back. Regardless, fat fucking retard works.
  2. I dunno, Jones and Milton will be pretty good and we might get that Miami transfer (Cager). Plus Kolar & Allen will be good options at TE. We can't replace Butler but I think we can manage. And we very well could have a game-breaker in the RB stable in Kene, he's been hidden behind DM. If we only win six games it'll be on the OL and I agree that it could very well happen.
  3. If Butler does come back it'll be huge...but I don't see it. And he's already graduated (if that makes any difference at all).
  4. An unranked Iowa vs. #18 MSU. I think it's worth noting that BU beat a favored VU, unranked oSu beat #23 Missouri and UT beat a UGA team ranked TEN spots higher. Clearly the SEC bias is real and fantastical. And no doubt it'll continue with the preseason polls in August.
  5. Wait, what? I don't think Matt belongs to an ethnic minority. Still bad new for us...it's easy to rationalize to yourself that Matt would only leave for tOSU, ND or Michigan. But if most NFL teams come calling, he's gone. That includes his beloved Cleveland Browns. Of course he'd be a fan of fucking Browns...
  6. Well it's currently 8 degrees with 25 mph wind and just stopped snowing here. You'd want to get the fuck outta Iowa right now too. I'm stuck here at work. Sounds like everyone is loving the River Walk...and drinking a lot of Busch Light.
  7. That photoshop is trrrrble, they look like bobbleheads. But damn, top 35 class has to be ISUs best in 40 years (Earle Bruce). And, iirc Campbell's first class was ISU's best in the last 40 years. Dude can do it all.
  8. I think in the old country it'd be Kleeman...but Kleeman would be pronounced Klayman...
  9. I see John Kolar is transferring to ISU. That's be a grad transfer situation, yes?
  10. Going to try to get some revenge for the Drake loss in '85 I guess. Yes we lost to fucking Drake in 1985. Always been a DU fan though, one of my HS buddies played DE there.
  11. So, why with Riley? I understand winning is good but it seems to me that Rhule did more with a lot less.
  12. High AF? I don't know if Jon Heacock (our DC) qualifies in this conversation but he straight up turned shit to gold with our defense last year and is still overachieving considering our talent level. I'm praying that we can hang on to him.
  13. Cool photo. Makes you wonder if all these guys fought in the war (I presume yes) and if they all survived ( I presume no).
  14. I could see Campbell taking the PSU job if offered.
  15. Wherever Matt lands I think there will be plenty of pain-in-the-ass boosters. I just don't see it being SC. I will say this for SC though, they're not in the SEC. I don't think SEC style cheating enters into Matt's calculus for choosing his next job. SC style, maybe...SEC style, probably not.
  16. Thank you, Campbell obviously sucks. And tOSU or anybody else would be stupid to hire him!
  17. This post defies logic; Campbell is hitting his stride in the ISU rebuild (or...build). Why leave?* If the answer is salary we'll match PU. If the answer is facilities we're doing a $60MM expansion next to the stadium. I understand that PU can afford more but why start over when Matt's getting what he's asking for in Ames? If the answer is recruiting I don't see that PU attracts markedly better recruits simply on it's name. It's Matt Campbell these kids want to play for, not ISU or PU. *So, why leave? To increase salary, facilities and recruiting exponentially which can only happen at a Blue Blood (ISU and PU ain't it), a place where the logo on the helmet does as much work as the head coach. Yes, it could happen at USC but there is nothing to suggest in MC's path to ISU that that path ends in Los Angeles. But there are plenty of signs that it ends in Columbus, South Bend or Ann Arbor.
  18. Like I said, we'll pay until it hurts. Matt's current salary is irrelevant. And at the risk of feeding the troll I'll reiterate; Matt Campbell will never be the head coach of the Purdue Boilermakers.
  19. No, we won't be able to pay Matt long term. We just need to keep him until after the GoR. We'll pay until it hurts between now and then. If tOSU, UM or ND come open before then we're fucked. Or the Browns. Matt's a lifelong Browns fan.
  20. I'd considered this match-up to be even with advantage going to the home team. But now, with Zach Smith helping Tom Herman to create perhaps the greatest football motto of all time...I don't think it'll be that close. Longhorns by two scores with "Ok cool, Hook 'em" on the lips of 100k Longhorns fans.
