  1. Bought my first two knives in a long while a few months ago. From a new to me company out of Dallas. Tactile Knife Co. Sister company of Tactile Turn that has been doing pens for years (I have one of those as well). This is the first gen Rockwall flipper, and the current gen Rockwall in their Golf pattern. Flipper is XHP blade steel, the Golf is in Magnacut. If you like thinner pocket profile knives, these things are just fantastic. Haven't carried anything else but these since I got them. The flipper is no longer made, so you will have to find it on the secondary market, but they are available. The thumbstud is current production and can be bought in many flavors either direct or through dealers. https://tactileknife.co

  3. Hey @immamac can we just get this stickied so I don’t have to quote it on every page? lol
  4. No idea if he still posts here, but he is still posting on IG.
  5. Man, I have a ton of great road trip memories in our Aerostar. The winstar that replaced it, just never lived up. dad had a Mazda truck fetish for a decade Or two. Had an 85 model that he blew the engine on around 95. Mom gave him the green light to get whatever he wanted, and he showed up in the house in the exact same truck, just a 92 model. Finally sold it in 02. I tried to kill that motherfucker. Buried it twice in mud above the frame, and it wouldn’t die. Last we heard, some little old man was still driving it around Muleshoe. I think it made 11 horses.

  13. Anyone know the best way to buy tickets for the Vandy/Drip game? Not affiliated just want to watch a good game with a buddy and this is the mid point for us.
  14. The only one to admit it
  15. Fair.
  16. Yeah, saw where NWS in Midland posted something about that earlier. Glad this is not our year to head up there, but my two brothers are supposed to head that direction and do a whirlwind trip out to the GC, and their travel timeline is very tight, so am keeping an eye on it for them. Will be interested to see how the models move the next day or so.
  17. I know most will call it blasphemy, but based on a rec from a chef buddy of mine, 2 weekends ago I did a brisket flat in my sous vide for 36 hours at 155. Then it went in the fridge for 2 days, and I finished it for 4 hours in the smoke and served it. It was the best flat I have tasted outside of Franklin/Leroy&Lewis/Valentinas, and was dare I say on par. Texture was perfect, and did not suffer from the drying out of other stand alone flats I had smoked to entirety before. I’m actually going to do an entire brisket for Christmas this way, so I don’t have to sacrifice the time as well. I’ll try and remember to check back in here after I do it, but if it is even close to the quality of the flat I did, it will be amazing.
  18. Interestingly enough, the 2nd Gen Taco I had called for Spark plug changes at some stupid low interval. I wanna say less than 50k miles. I did it at 87, and it was an hour job.
  19. Anyone on the ground hurt?
