Guess what. You know some fascists.

They don't give a shit about the millions American women, people of color, LGBTQIA, educators, medical workers harmed by the cruelty, violence, and wholesale destruction of MAGA policies. That's why they are not good people.

And I don't give a crap who they are ... or what companies they work for ... or what their spoiled ass kids do ... or what lame ass McMansion neighborhood they inhabit.

They are just as narcissistic and sociopathic as Trump, only under the table.

All they care about is protecting and justifying their little slice of White Corporate Capitalist Heaven ...  And if fascism is the way to do it, they will do it. Hell, they are doing it.

But, please continue to chum and laugh with the "circle of dads" fascists at the golf course and little league game.

I disagree with this.  These people aren’t all Fascists and they all don’t want bad things to happen to the groups you mentioned.  Some are like that but many unfortunately and simply just watch Fox News and believe the country is falling apart because of the Democrats and Biden. Are there racists that vote for Trump?  Yes and they are pieces of shit.  Are there people that vote for Trump that are greedy and just care about their personal possessions and making more money?  Yes and they are pieces of shit, but to lump everyone that votes for Trump in one category is actually incorrect.  There is a large group of Republicans that have a different/incorrect view of the world because Fox News, right wing media, and the Republican politicians push that on them as the truth.

It has probably always been this way but now it is amped up even more with social media and media in general but it’s quite amazing to see propaganda and lies and how it steers the views of people in this country.

It's always fair to say that you are unhappy with the results of someone that you previously gave your vote but it's something else to throw the vote to the other candidate based on that disappointment.

On another note, the S&P 500 is up 58% from the last election date. Another with money in the stock market is a fool to not continue with Biden. Why rock the boat.

The stock market is up because of Trump not Biden.  Everything good that happens is because of Trump and everything bad is because we didn't let Trump make it good.  Now if the stock market were down then that would be Biden's fault.

  3. Played Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome yesterday.  It was cool playing a Ryder Cup course but damn that was tough.  The rough was so difficult it was quite frustrating.  Just grabbed your club no matter how hard you swung and I was in it a lot.  Greens were tough also but the views and playing in the Italian countryside was a lot of fun.

ill google it, but can you explain what you signed up for and how it works ?

I bought the full package which is this training stick and the resistance bands.  Also bought a foam roller at Walmart since that helps with the exercises.  What I bought came with a free year of the app based training.  You take a quick assessment like for me helping my back was most important basically and then everyday it gives you a new fundamental lesson and a new rotational power lesson.  Lots of stretching, core work and stuff but man it is helping me.  Guy a golf with every weekend is 61 years old and told me about it and he is a good golfer.  Said it added 30 yards to every club after doing it for 6 months.  He drives the ball about 270z. The lessons are done in a specific order to build on one another to specifically help your golf swing and for me protect my back.  It makes sense once you have been doing it for a week or so.  Plus if it’s good enough for Scheffler it’s good enough for me.

So are the people asking for the president, or federal gvt, to set prices of goods and services?

The President should make my life better and if my life sucks its the President's fault not mine or my poor decisions that have led to my life sucking.  I know many on here hate Bill Maher but the end of his show last Friday night was quite good I thought.  He hammered the media for how they skew things, but he also basically said everybody should basically look in the mirror and ask if their life is that bad.  The media tells us the world is falling apart and our lives are terrible because of it but if we really asked ourselves (even everyone on this forum), how is your life in general then most of us would probably say it's pretty good.  All those Trumpers that Fox News is telling them to be afraid of immigrants sneaking in our country and raping and murdering everyone are most likely living in nice homes, with good jobs, friends and family around them and in states where this issue doesn't really affect them.  Most people on both sides that are successful were successful under Trump, Biden, Obama before that and so on.  Those that are struggling now were probably struggling under Trump also. The President doesn't affect your life the way people want to believe.

  7. The whole polling system is fucked but the bigger problem is now the media will parrot this and talk on both right and left wing media outlets about how Biden is in trouble and Trump is about to get 300+ electoral votes.  This could lead to people not voting or changing their votes so they can vote for the "winning team".  Also, if those numbers are correct then it just shows how incredibly ignorant and dumb the US population is.  I mean everyone pretty much knows they are, but it really shows people have lost the ability for critical thinking.  If you watched Trump for 4 years and think, "yeah, this is the guy that can fix things" you should lose your right to vote.

  8. I have been doing golf forever for a few weeks now.  I can’t recommend it enough even though I am just getting started with the program.  Shot a 84 on Friday and 41 on the front 9 today before thunderstorms came through DFW.  I usually hit my drive like 225 and my last drive on hole 9 went 260 which is far for me.  In fact all of my clubs are going further since I am looser and can actually rotate.  Biggest benefit is my back doesn’t hurt after the rounds.   Now off to Rome tomorrow and will play Marco Simone on Friday so hoping to keep hitting the ball the way I have been the last week or so.

Wait, hold on. I somehow missed this. Trump says BIDEN lies about golf?

Also, does Biden even play golf? Or talk about it?

Biden is a member of a golf course called Fieldstone in Delaware.  One of my clients is also a member and can’t stand Biden.  Nothing to do with golf but my client is a big Republican and Fox News watcher sadly so he thinks the country is falling apart because of Biden even thought he is worth 100 million dollars and life is pretty good for him.  I should probably take this to the golf thread but I played Fieldstone a few years ago with my client and it is a beautiful course.

  10. By the way, below is the link to the current Fox News Politics page.  I know many don't want to click it and give them hits but try and go to this page and imagine you don't get news anywhere else.  Now read the all the stories posted on the entire page.  I saw zero about Trump or Stormy Daniels or anything that has to do with the trial.   If a person goes to this site and believes it's real news, then their entire world view gets skewed to fearing the Democrats because they are corrupt and evil, and the Republicans like Trump are the good guys doing what's best for America.  It sickens me actually, so now I am off to play golf and get really upset!

  11. I get free speech and all that but as long as channels like Fox News are allowed to call themselves "news" this country will remain broken.  Half the country thinks they are getting news when like others have said it's just propaganda.   This is why somewhat normal people in this country are not Fascist wannabees but just get told over and over again that immigrants are flooding the country and killing US citizens and taking their jobs and the Dems want to make your kids gay and trans and every other ridiculous idea that Fox News is pushing causes them to truly believe this stuff because they think Fox News is real news.  Joseph Goebbels would be proud of Fox News.

I turned on CNN last night and they were talking about Trump's trial.  Switched to MSNBC and they also were discussing Trump's trial.  I guess when a former President gets indicted and is in court it is a big story.  When I switched to Fox News it had nothing on Trump's trial, but they had some story about Biden being senile and he shouldn't be allowed to be President because he has dementia.  Propaganda like this should be criminal.  I can't imagine news anchors like Cronkite, Rather, Brokaw, Koppel, etc.... going on the nightly news and ignoring big stories because it would hurt one party or the other or spinning every story to help one party or the other.

Yeah, I mean, she's either in the tank for him or isn't competent enough to manage all of these pretrial motions involving voluminous documents before a trial date this month.  Either idea is plausible, I suppose.

That sounds like a bunch of fancy lawyer talk but since I imagine it coming from your avatar/Earl Campbell, I will allow it.

Trump classified documents trial postponed indefinitely

    KEY POINTS

A federal judge indefinitely postponed the criminal classified documents trial of former President Donald Trump, a court filing shows.

Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. President Donald Trump gestures while he walks with his attorney Todd Blanche, as his criminal trial over charges that he falsified business records to conceal money paid to silence porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 continues, at Manhattan state court in New York City, U.S., May 6, 2024.

    Brendan Mcdermid | Reuters

A federal judge Tuesday indefinitely postponed the criminal classified documents trial of former President Donald Trump, a court filing shows.

The trial on charges that Trump willfully retained classified national security records after leaving the White House and then hid them from federal authorities was scheduled to start May 20.

But U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon wrote in Tuesday’s court order that it “would be imprudent” to finalize a trial date “at this juncture” when various pre-trial issues have yet to be resolved.

Cannon pointed to pending questions about how classified information will be handled in the high-profile trial of the former president, and “additional pretrial and trial preparations necessary to present this case to a jury.”

To move forward with the trial in May would be “inconsistent with the Court’s duty to fully and fairly consider” those issues, she wrote.

“The Court therefore vacates the current May 20, 2024, trial date (and associated calendar call), to be reset by separate order following resolution of the matters before the Court, consistent with Defendants’ right to due process and the public’s interest in the fair and efficient administration of justice,” Cannon ruled.

Can any of the lawyers on here legitimately defend this type of action?  It sure looks like she is just protecting the guy that made her a judge no matter what crimes he may have committed.

It really shines a light on how important judicial appointments are. The left really needs to do a better job of cultivating jurists and placing them. The right has been very successful at it and it’s set out jurisprudence back decades. A century in some cases.
    They’re indifferent to it.

I think in years past the right and left have been very good at appointing justices from the Supreme Court down to lower-level courts that have the same philosophies as them (Pro Life, Pro Choice, tough on crime, etc...).  What Trump seems to have from judges is straight loyalty to him.  I can't imagine when Reagan appointed Sandra Day O'Connor that she was like, "hey, if this Iran contra deal gets you in trouble, don't worry.  I will make sure you are safe".  It shows the true flaw in our justice system and of course it took 200 years for us to get someone like Trump who really knew how to take advantage of it.

It would be fantastic if she's compelled to talk about his tiny dick under oath.

Why stop with just this.  I would be happy if she said everything possible that could embarrass him.  Stuff like, "he only lasted 20 seconds", "I can't believe how fat his belly and man boobs are", or "he asked me to pee on him, but I refused because that is disgusting".

These are the only remaining people who will vote for Trump:

    1. Racists

    2. Sexists

    3. Single issue voters who think they’ll pay less taxes under Trump (most of them are wrong, because they are not as rich as they think they are)

    4. Single issue pro-life voters

    5. conspiracy theorists

    6. people who suck brain poison out of the boob tube (Fox News viewers)

There are ZERO rational-thinking, analytical-minded voters who look at truly meaningful things like foreign policy, economic policy, social policy, or character who will pull the lever for Trump.  And it still might be enough for that piece of shit to get to 270.

You just pointed out over half of the citizens in this country.  Let's hope they all don't vote for Trump or at least the ones in the 3 states that matter for the election.

  18. So is this the thread where I tell you all the earth is really flat and you are all fucking morons for not believing that?

Also, it may be time to just change the title of every thread on this board to “Trump is a piece of shit”.  At some point, every thread proves that title correct no matter what the topic actually is.  It’s just the way things are now.

get your back right first and foremost. better stretching maybe ?

push ups help too. then I'd go get fitted for a Q10 / 430 max10k / callaway AI. get fitted by the company rep, not some shmo at the golf shop.

Thanks for the advice.  The golf forever program is a lot of stretching and stuff to help your back.  Did the first day yesterday and it definitely will help my back if I stick to it.  Each day is two short sessions.  One that is stretching and core strength and then you have a session with the swing trainer which strengthens key muscles and movements for the golf swing.  The sessions are designed to be done in a specifics order that builds off of one another.

I got fitted for all my sticks by the same guy that does Scheffler, Spieth, Fowler, Palmer, etc… here in DFW.  Good fitters and not that expensive but they know their shit.  I’m in a Calllaway Rogue for my driver which I hit better than the Taylor Mades or Pings.  Once I get my movement back I am pretty sure I will gain some distance back also.

  20. Tired of back issues, not being able to play consecutive days and slowly losing distance the last 10 years so I started the Golf Forever program today.  Hopefully in the next 2 months all of the above improve.  I golf with a guy every week that swears by it and Scheffler wouldn’t lie to me about the program since he endorses it!

Conversations like that are power plays.  They know the dynamic there is you have to kiss their ass because of business reasons.  Likely know you disagree with them. They enjoy saying that stuff in front of you because the economic leverage they have.

I get what you are saying but I don’t think that is the dynamic.  I am pretty sure they think I am a Trumper also.  I refuse to talk about politics or religion with anybody.  When I say these guys are Trumpers I mean they are showing me pictures from New Years Eve at Mar o lago with Trumps family.  What’s frustrating is I’ve known these guys and many others for years and they are really good people and have helped me many times over the years and I do consider them friends but their views with Trump and Biden are warped.
