  1. I'm really surprised his fingernail shtick isn't being made out to be a bigger deal. If Tim Tebow was doing "Fuck Alabama" on his eye black it would be national news on ESPN for months. But I guess Tebow had an image to protect while Caleb is fine being viewed as a piece of shit

His Twitter reply to Duggan was worse than the finger nails.
  2. Bryan Reynolds (RB) seems to have fallen off the list.
Also, they have Justin Che listed as “RB/CB” and then call him “tall”…
    WRONG” gif
Che was only about 5’10” to 5’11”, so they moved him over to RB after he returned to FC Dallas from his loan to some German youth level. And he was NOT a RB. He was a CB who was too short to play CB.
Now he magically grew to 1.85 meters (6’1”) from 18 to 19… (highly doubtful)… which is that height in Europe that says I now the height that should be considered “tall”.
    CR7- 1.85
    Cavani- 1.85
Mckennie- 1.85 at Juventus (after being ~1.78 at Schalke)
Hopefully we have a good U-20 World Cup next year and a good Olympic squad in 2024 in Paris.
No 2022 World Cup players should play in the 2023 Gold Cup. It should be a training tournament for our 2024 Olympic team.

I still want to see us send Gio to the Olympics along with Pulisic, Aaronson, and Adams.

  3. I'm still bummed Klinsmann didn't work out. He checked a lot of your boxes circa 2011.

Was just thinking I would take Klinnsman again for the next 4 years.

  4. 2002 continues to be our golden team, unreal, I wouldve never predicted that in 2002. I remember my dad and I talking about how we would be contenders for the whole thing in the 2020/2030s... we have not progressed

In all fairness we haven’t produced another golden and silver boot like we did with Donovan and Beasley at their age.

I think this current crop will surpass what that crop of players did eventually but 2002 was a perfect combination of Youth and Vets leading the team. Then 2006 was an absolute disaster. All countries and teams are cyclical, we can bitch all we want but England has won nothings since 1966, Holland has won nothing since 1988. None of this is easy and needs to be appreciated.

  5. My twins are nicknamed after Ajax, my family is from Northern Holland and they have always been my 2nd team. That said I am happy we are getting Holland over Senegal on Saturday.

This current Oranje team just feels slow/predicatable and maybe they have been coasting and I will regret saying this but they don’t have the same possession oriented pressing team from years past. Gakpo’s goals have been in front of goal with space. If we give him a chance he will score but between Adams and Weston we should be able to force Holland out wide. It’s going to take 2 goals to make the quarters but I’m happy to be going up against Holland vs Senegal here.
