Do you think the bulls ever told Jordan he couldn’t play a game ?

They did, his first or second year when he had an injury.

He then told them that if they wouldn't let him play he would go down to UNC and play pickup games with the Tarheels.

After long consideration I have changed my stance on Bellinger.

For one reason, and one reason only. Cause Fuck that dude still.

But I want to force that douchebag to have to come here and then publicly start having to say how great of teammates Altuve and Bregman are and basically suck them off to the media. That for me would be worth it.

If Bellinger says the Astros didn't do anything worse than the Red Sox and Yankees I would accept him.

If he admits the Dodgers were also cheating, I might fall in love.

    Ready like Witt?

Gage Jump was injured about 2 months after Witt, so if they were on the same timeline he would have started pitching in games about now.

Both should be ready to start next season.

XII officiating has been fucked and miserable for a long time.

As I understand it, OOC visitors bring their conference's refs, and the home team's conference provides the review officials. Last year's Bama game was understandable that the SEC refs would do whatever it took to fuck Texas out of the safety, but having the XII guys in the booth not call it is infuriating. That, and the glaringly obvious face mask foul late in the game, which woulda put us first and goal, were the difference in the scoreboard.

Not having the HC say or do anything about those calls, either during or after the game... that doesn't help at all. Leo Durocher was right, "Nice guys finish last."

The refs last year (on field and review) were Big 12 refs.

This year at Bama they will be SEC.

We could get a no. 3 on a bad team for Meyers, right?

A number 3 starter on a bad team? Would that be an upgrade over what we've gotten from France, Blanco, Bielak, etc?

Even if it would be an improvement, the trade market has become tougher since the playoffs expanded. Someone else would probably offer more.

Dusty will lose his GD mind, but I’d deal Meyers for any decent starting pitcher. I think they have enough outfielders in the minors + Singleton to figure out another bat.

That said Bregs is only contract until 2024 and Altuve through 2025, so they might want to take a bigger swing. And Crane likes grand, aggressive moves and just fired a guy for being too conservative.

Who's going to trade a decent starting pitcher for Meyers?

To get a starter better than the rookies we've been trotting out there, it would take Meyers plus others....and Meyers wouldn't be the main asset we would lose.

My fave is the swamp rat saying "they haven't proven they can play at a high level"
They've already forgotten we were one dropped TD pass away from beating the best tigah team ever, and guess they didn't watch last year's Bama game either.

A game they had to keep faking injuries in order to compete with us, and had to go for it on fourth and long in order to stay ahead of us.

That visit was previously on his schedule posted at the beginning of June. Seems like the hope is he commits to us before then and shows up in Austin instead, but if he is elsewhere then this will be a long ride to the finish.

Or he shows up to A&M and that experience confirms his decision to attend The University of Texas.

The Cards have a much deeper and richer history with Houston baseball. The Dodgers and Reds were "rivals" for less than a decade beginning in the late-70s. Still, Houston and St. Louis have been intertwined since 1919 with the Houston Buffs - the first minor league team affiliated with a Major League franchise. The Houston and St. Louis rivalry of the NL Central era was also a more significant period in Astros' history.

Shout out to Victoria and the Crossroads.

We were in the NL West from 1969-1993. 25 years.

We were in the NL Central from 1994-2012. 19 years.

Granted we had a long tradition with St Louis via the Houston Buffs, but how many still living ever saw the Gashouse Gang play? It seems after the 30's few of their top players went through Houston. Stan Musial, Enos Slaughter, Red Schoendienst, Marty Marion, Curt Flood, Bob Gibson never played for the Buffs. Kevin Boyer spent one season in Houston.

and kindly fuck any of the young'ns who think the Rangers are a bigger rival to the Astros than the Co-ards.

And kindly fuck any whippersnapper who thinks the Cardinals are a bigger rival to the Astros than the Dodgers or the Reds.

Fuck Steve Garvey, Fuck Pete Rose, and Fuck Tommy Lasorda!

However, thanks to Fuckin Bud Selig, we are no longer in the National League. Not the West (Fuck the Dodgers and Reds!), not the Central (Fuck the Cards in general, but especially Fuck Tony Larussa and Fuck Albert Pujols!).

We are in the Motherfuckin American League. Fuck Bud Selig! Fuck the Yankees! Fuck the Red Sox! And.......Fuck the Rangers!

The last two times we didn't win the AL West, it was because of the Rangers. If we go 10-9 instead of 6-13 against the Rangers in 2015 we win the division instead of being the wildcard. If we go 10-9 instead of 4-15 in 2016 we win the division instead of missing the playoffs. Fuck the Rangers!
