  1. I just got around to it within the past week.  Much like the Expanse, I found the first couple of episodes confusing as they introduced all the characters and plot lines.  By the end of episode 3, I was hooked, even if it is a bit dark for my personal tastes.  I would like more background/history of the various races.

This shit any good? I've read through all the books but I couldn't get into the first couple episodes of this show.

I kinda liked Neil Asher better but these books have been great too.

No.  Everyone is praising it and impatiently awaiting the next season because it completely sucks.

I love staying traditional with uniforms, but is this actually costing us top recruits? Does anyone really know?

Any recruit who goes somewhere for the uniforms isn't a recruit I mind losing.

Good game by Dallas v. Portland last night. Portland started off hot and Dallas just rained in 3's to overcome.

Dallas coaching (zero rim defense) limits the greatness of Mavs players. A healthy KCP might help, but the coaching philosophy remains unproven.

    Doncic was fantastic as usual.

2 out of 3 usually ain't bad, but that coaching take.....peeeeeeeyouuuuuuuu

Nah man.  aggy doesn't win anything whether they cheat or not.  We are being more full LSU.  Full aggy is going to be Ranger fans once the investigation spreads to them.

I will still be a fan, but I sure as well won't be happy about them cheating.

You should probably go look at those old Cowboy team payrolls vs the rest of the league.  If anything, that "edge" was more of a disproportionate advantage than what the Astros were doing. Half the teams Staubach played against were semi pro.

You are equating a team taking full advantage of the rules as they existed at the time to blatantly and shamelessly violating the rules of the league?  Shame on the Cowboys for playing their best players and not making them wear blindfolds so other teams would have a chance.

I never said I would be a fan of some other teams because of a drought. If that was the case, I'd have bailed a long time ago. I won't get any satisfaction rooting for another team to win it all.

Just saying, I don't think I'd really care if the Rangers won it all and then it came to light years later they somehow cheated. The memories of watching them win it all and that journey would not mean any less to me because of it. And it would forever be with me. And by the record book (which is all that matters), they'd be champs. The court of public opinion holds no real weight.

I'm friends with a few Patriots fans and they give zero shits with all the scandals around New england. They enjoy(ed) those rings.

No, the record book is not all that matters, but too many people agree with you, and that is part of the problem.  Now get off my lawn, while I reminisce about Landry's fedora, and getting Roger Staubach's autograph.

The Patriots got caught doing all types of illegal surveillance. They also got caught deflating footballs in the AFC championship game.  Colts fans were sure NE's AFC and Super Bowl wins were invalid. Jets and other AFC east fans were sure all those division titles were invalid.

What happened to those asterisks?  Seriously, the Pats got caught cheating in the AFC title game while the game was still going on. Think about that.  The game wasn't even postponed.  Later, they were given a $1 million dollar fine, 2 lost draft picks, and 4 games out for Brady.

You think Patriots fans give a shit about any of that?  Nope. And everyone else already forgot.

Do you really want to be lumped in with the douchy Pats/BoSox and now Houston fans?  I don't.

  9. Meh finale for a very meh season, with another completely worthless twist.  How telling is it that the person who won never went to Island of the Idols until they were all forced to live there.  Lessons from Rob and Sandra were so helpful that everyone who got one lost.

Of the finalists, I thought Dean made the best argument to win, in spite of his blunder of saying that he hadn't made any finals pacts when he actually had made several.  I don't think he intentionally lied, I think he simply forgot under the pressure of being grilled.  Maybe that undermined his entire résumé, but I did not feel that it did.  I did think that both Dean and Tommy did well in final tribal, which is rare.

I feel bad for Kellee.  Dan's behavior directly led to her being voted off.

I'm not sure I have any interest in seeing more Sandra and Boston Rob, so I may skip next season.
