  1. None of the women this season seems to have her shit together.  Maybe one will emerge, but so far, I have not seen one that seems capable of taking charge of her own fate and playing a winning game.

Christian is the obvious fan favorite.  It will be interesting to see how soon the others recognize how big of a threat he is and start targeting him.

  2. Fuck this first round bye bullshit when the difference between the 2nd and 3rd ranked teams isn't always going to be cut and dry.  Eight teams, five P5 champs, next 3 highest ranked, trumped by 2 teams max from any conference.

OK, thanks Mr. Wise Man.  We were in the relegation zone in September.

Yes, two matches into the season, we were fighting to stay up.  Nail biting time for sure.

What's worse is at least one coach doesn't even have us in the rankings at all.  The same is true for Oregon and Florida.  Why the fuck the coaches even bother voting is a mystery.

Upon further review, I'm guessing that HI/LOW is for rankings throughout the season, not among the voters for the given week....so, never mind.  Still think the coaches poll is a joke.

Coaches poll trails far far behind what the writers and fans know.  This was more about the ou win from last week.  We didn’t deserve to move up 8 spots this mornings but the coaches said we did.  The coaches poll is worse than an espn online poll.

That was hot. The players look stoked. Dare I allow myself some optimism over the Unai Era?

I'm cautiously hopeful without being unrealistically optimistic.  I'll need to see some wins against the top teams before I get too excited.  That said, good teams take full points from lesser opponents without fail, and it's definitely nice to see that happening.  It was frequently disappointing to assume three points in Wenger's last several seasons.

The last few weeks of being a Longhorns, Cowboys and Gunners fan has been....pleasant

Shhhhhhhhhh...Cowboys haven't played yet, and you shouldn't say that shit out loud.

Went with my brother and his kids to Blue Hole to close out the summer. Planned on Terry Black’s but due to the mixed reviews and Austin’s uber shitty traffic, I called an audible and went Valentina’s. I had breakfast there before but not a full lunch spread. Was goddamn great.

I have to call this a minor fail.  While no one should ever go to Valentina's just for the tortillas, to forgo them in lieu of bread is no bueno in my opinion.  It looked like an A outing regardless, but could have been an A+.

I have a Wilshere 24. If you were thinking he never played a single game in that shirt, you would be correct.

I think you should start buying City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham jerseys...lots and lots of them.

They have money and nobody else does. Other people can't handle that and so adopt a cynical posture. They might be cheating nobody knows.

I don't know the truth but I love the sport and will pay homage to the sacrifice the riders make, regardless of the rest of it. It is a pageant of great beauty and suffering that will forever exceed the Super Bowl in all its gaudiness or the boring World Series or the NBA which is great but goes on forever.

This is pretty close to my stance.  Sky spends the most.  I don't know to what extent they might be cheating, but if they are, I don't think they are alone in doing it.  In short, the playing field is tilted by money, not the cheating.  Cycling rewards the big spenders more so than any sport outside of European football.
