  1. Good job carrying all that water NYT....lotta fucking good it did you or the country.
  2. Yeah, I had the wrong night. The best I can tell as I wasn't watching the Supe split, they never really said shit about it, but she wasn't there. They have hired an interim supe from the Keller feeder pattern while looking for a new person to do their bidding. In the meantime something like 225 people, including students, spoke and told the board to go fuck themselves but none of those speakers hold the purse strings on the board so the split plan keeps rambling forward. Here is background on one of the main bought and paid for shitstains....shocking I know https://www.vote4drcharles.com/about-dr-charles.html https://rwfm.tamu.edu/people/randklev-charles/ Keller ISD Community, Keller ISD’s Board of Trustees has named Dr. Cory Wilson as Interim Superintendent for KISD. Dr. Wilson has 27 years of experience in education, 23 of which have been spent in Keller ISD. After teaching at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School, he began his administrative career as the first assistant principal at Bette Perot Elementary School. He later served as principal at BPES, before opening Ridgeview Elementary School as its principal. In 2013, he joined central administration as an Executive Director of Leadership, serving the District’s Title I and Bilingual campuses. He later served as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools (West), an Area Superintendent, and most recently as Assistant Superintendent of Education Services. “I appreciate Dr. Wilson’s willingness to lead the District during this transition,” said KISD Board President Dr. Charles Randklev. “His knowledge of Keller ISD and commitment to its students will provide valuable stability at this time.” Dr. Wilson will serve in the Interim role while the Trustees begin the search for a new superintendent, following the departure of Dr. Tracy Johnson. “Having been a part of Keller ISD for more than two decades, it’s an honor to have the opportunity to serve this community in this capacity,” Dr. Wilson said. “I’m looking forward to working with our administrative team as we continue the vital work of supporting our teachers and staff, while providing exceptional educational opportunities for our students.” Please join us in welcoming Dr. Wilson to this new role.

  4. On the one hand yea. On the other hand, in this kind of situation after about a day there are not a lot more facts besides identification of the victims to come out until the NTSB, etc do their thing. There will be another Youtube here or there with maybe some new nugget but we kind of know what we know at this point.

  11. This is Trump's America. Approval aside before he came along the country had shifted to the good old days of most people either approving or at least not outright disapproving of an incoming President. Then it shifted up to 10-20% range from the 80s on. Now a third or more of the country is pissed from the jump....not even the black man in the brown suit could get this country that pissed off.
  12. Sounds like a life well lived. Sorry for your loss, keep the faith.
  13. The shit show rolls on in KISD. Board meeting tomorrow night
  14. Two things Philly has going for it. Cheesesteaks and Monk's Cafe. Why Monk's Cafe you ask? Well besides very good food it is one of the very few places outside of California that gets Russian River beers distributed to it (they also have a lot of other very hard to come by stuff). One of the best spots for beer in the US, if not the world. https://www.monkscafe.com/on-tap https://www.monkscafe.com/bottles
  15. Knowing it used to be this way this was my logic from the NFC Champ game thread I have a more philosophical issue with it and that is that I think any offensive player should be responsible for his own forward progress. That means once your forward progress is stopped, nobody can help you. Your forward progress can't be intentionally aided by others as a part of play design, it can't be guys pushing you forward when you get bottled up 7 yards down field (un-designed) etc etc. Once you are stopped, you are stopped. So it wouldn't just be this play, though this is the most obvious example. The game is so tilted to the offense across all levels of play that I feel stripping offenses of this one advantage is a reasonable position. Others may disagree.
  16. But which one is more expensive on the open market?
  17. The data would suggest they are not driving fans away.
  18. Has anybody seen that white Yoda that looks like Jerry Jones? I hear it's good.
  19. Super Bowl is perfectly split at 27-27 between NFL/NFC vs AFL/AFC. AFC is 17-10 since ending the 13-year NFC winning streak, which is where so many of those blowouts happened. Since that streak ended the >2TD victories have been Denver over Atlanta Baltimore over New York Tampa Bay over Oakland Seattle over Denver Tampa Bay over Kansas City
  20. The thing is this. It's not a Chiefs conspiracy. The Chiefs are a really talented football team. They often put teams in situations like this where there are slim margins that then get left up to human vision, judgment and yes at times unconscious bias. The Chiefs play in a lot of really big games so those human flaws get magnified. A lot of folks have talked about how the NFL needs to use technology to solve for the spotting of the ball, "chip the ball" they say. And I 100% agree, but I also realize it isn't just "chipping the ball". Spotting the ball in many situations is at a minimum a two-variable issue. One variable is where the ball is. The other variable is where is every part of the ball carrier's body with the exception of his hands in relation to the ground (ie when was he down). In other situations where he doesn't go down, it's when was the whistle blown and where was the ball (forward progress stopped) In some situations video/audio makes that easy. Synch up the video/audio to the chip in the ball. I think they should be looking at this with all expediency. That said there are still going to be those times (think piles of bodies around the goal line, etc) where the video isn't going to help there so that system also won't be perfect. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be working on it.
  21. Yea he had a broken hand back half of 2022
