Warren is not likeable, nor does she identify with the Midwest.

maybe not to you, but she is likable.  i will give you that she will have problems in the midwest.  she has a stuffy, east coast air about her and will need to put some flannel on.

in your opinion, is trump likable?

Last one roasted on the 25th, received on the 28th.     its fun to get different beans every shipment.  I am settled on Bella Donovan right now but I can always change that for next shipment.  I may be overpaying ,but damn I love the coffee.  and I figure it saves me from going to coffee shops and overpaying for their coffee.

Take the quiz.  see what blend you should start with:  https://bluebottlecoffee.com/coffee-match

$17 for 12 oz seems kinda expensive to me.  $17/lb would even be too pricey in my book.

  3. no chains whatsoever should be on that list so tacodeli should be eliminated right there.   also, there is nothing noteworthy about their tacos.  i would not send anyone from out of town there.  agree with others that fonda should be on the list.  it's the quintessential mexican food joint for anyone that wants to experience austin.  you might also add enchiladas y mas, cisco's, and amaya's.

i also am against sending people to food trucks, because well, they're food trucks.  and two of those places have brick and mortar joints anyway so why not send them there?

you might need a high end dining section for places like clarks, bullfight, perla's, etc.  also, a small plate experience can be fun for a group, trying many dishes, so contigo could be  worth a mention.

Probably not grosser than living in a shit-filled tent city in gun-free Berkeley.

you obviously have not seen the chicks in berkeley.

  5. I buy the heb tupperware pint practically every new years eve, and they are good.  i believe they're from palacios, or someplace texas.   i fry them though.  have never eaten raw oysters without their half shell.

  6. deckhands is great every time, quality seafood was excellent also.  neither will set you back like perlas, clarks, foreign.domestic, etc.  gulf oysters are the best value.  i could argue they are flat out the best tasting, but for sure the largest so therefore the best value.

  7. yeppers.  12-4, 12-6 something like that.  strange setup there as far as a tasting room goes (or the lack thereof), but their beer was excellent.  had pecan porter on nitro and co2, as well as this new 4-citrus white ipa.  it was excellent.  the citrus cut the hops bitterness nicely.   they have a bourbon barrel coming out soon but only in large bottles, aka jester king.

  8. i've been turned on to lots of great acts i never heard of before there.  this year does seem to be short on the traditional bluegrass i prefer, but that's okay.  i'll be there but looking like for saturday only, leaving before bob schneider.

  9. yes, you do have it backwards.  alpha howard is locked up.  i'm not sure it's going to matter next season as the two seem to be merging together.  alpha howard is getting harder, and prime howard is getting softer. i think they are going to end up falling in love with each others wives.  there are more fun ways to wife swap than the way they are going about it.

was surprised to see aldrich and pope go as they were fairly main characters.

Heading out there on Thursday for 5 days, other than the Marfa Lights, we probably won't spend too much time in Marfa.  We will hit up Ft. Davis National Park and Davis Mountains State Park.  As someone mentioned take a swim in Balmorhea if you can.  If your up that way, Poco Mexico Café is right outside Ft. Davis on the highway to Balmorhea.

We plan on spending a night at Big Bend Ranch State Park before heading toward Terlingua.  Probably grab lunch at Starlight, drive through the National Park and end up in Marathon for the night.  Going to hit up Langtry on the way home, never been to the Jersey Lilly.

where are you staying in bbrsp? it's probably a good 2hrs from the entrance to the hq.  one of these days they'll open up the lajitas entrance.  that would save you a shit ton of time if you're wanting to go to the national park from there.

  11. I've always wanted a pod-style trailer, but they are expensive.  you can get a 14-29' that sleeps 6 for practically the same price.

i just bought a kelty acadia 4-man tent.  heading west soon - flyfishing near cortez/durango/gunnison, stopping in at mesa verde, taos along the way.  cruising straight through utah to great basin in nevada.  coming back through monument valley and possibly chaco canyon/canyon de chelly.
