Interesting take. How do you feel about Planned Parenthood?

since access to both abortion and guns are constitutional rights, a valid comparison. let's go ahead and compare their two budgets.  in 2015  the nra paid wayne lapierre $5.1 million. planned parenthood paid cecile richards $524k.  nice.   if you wanted to compare their campaign contributions this won't end well for you.

  2. i can see how the zen really helped - helped him forgive brad, helped him with his feelings towards his brother (and that letter, wow is right!). i think it's really cool that he spent his last years as a mentor, not worrying too much about performing.  i was amazed at how interesting this show was, and how most people life could be summed up in a one hour documentary.  this one was 4.5 hrs!

I think if a lot of liberals are truly honest about their position on the 2A and firearms then they would admit that they want all firearms sales to private citizens completely stopped and firearms currently in the hands of private citizens confiscated.

All this talk about banning  "just AR's" and the like is just the first step.

I have no problem with them wanting that but I don't agree with that position.  I do think that a lot of these types are dishonest about their position.

this is a terribly ignorant take.  ignorant in that you have no clue what you're talking about.  you might as well say you can get syphilis from a doorknob.  fear mongering.

Rick Santorum defending his CPR comments on CNN this morning. Just amazing.

rick is a spineless sack of shit.  cowardly weasel.  he is bought and paid for by the nra.  i find no difference between the nra and the mafia.  both pay off politicians for them to turn a blind eye.  our democracy is corrupt.

  5. never been to europe before,  just flying into paris for 5 days and then back to houston.   what vicinity would you suggest our hotel be? what would be the most convenient to restaurants, shops, museums, etc?   we will most likely not venture out of the city to see any countryside, but am looking forward to it just the same.  i haven't been a tourist in a long time.  please tell me the cant miss places for someone who's never been.

  6. man, this is a sad deal.  rockport too.  i talked to a lady a few weeks ago that had a place in rockport and she said many there will never rebuild.  said land was cheap.

i havent heard about sandcastle but lots of places have reopened lately - allister square inn, best western, beachcomber, double barr, beachgate, gulfstream, days inn, plantation suites.

  7. never owned an acrylic tank so not sure how that works as far as scratching though.  my advice assumed it was glass.  when i said take it to the backyard and rinse it, i mean run water in it, run your hands in the gravel, dump, repeat, until the water is clear.  you should do that about once a month or whenever you notice the water turning yellow.

  8. i've been watching it from the beginning but just gave up on it last week.  gave up on Here and Now too.  not sure why exactly, but comes down to not getting enough out of the time i put in.  dvr filling up faster than i can watch is a source of stress for me, so i just cancelled these two shows.  they weren't bad, they just didn't have enough to hook me.

Putin isn't going to do shit about stuff like the bank hacking because he and his buddies are all getting a cut out of it.

thats exactly right.  he is complicit.  it's about time trump starting showing a little backbone.  calling him to congratulate for a great win, is bs considering he eliminated his only opponent (who was actually doing quite well against him).  putin is corrupt and needs to be treated coldly.

  10. i'm as democrat as they come and i say this was a good move on trumps part. this was the first time in a year and a half that he's been willing to admit wrongdoing on russia's part and actually done something about it.   these hackers over there are operating under the protection of putin.  great story in this mornings aas about russian hackers stealing millions upon millions from spanish banks.  he is doing nothing to crack down on activities within his borders and until he does so his diplomats need to pay the price.  kick all the motherfuckers out, freeze their assets.

  11. watched it last night and was glued to the tv.  was way more interesting than i expected.  he was also way funnier than i remembered.  i remember being a huge fan of larry sanders and never missing an episode, but do not remember at all watching the garry shandling show.  it looked groundbreaking from the clips they showed last night.   would love to find the reruns.  i think i was stoned those entire years because that seems right down my alley.  not sure why i didnt tune in.

What about all the good stuff that lives in the gravel? Surely people don't start their aquariums from scratch every time the water or tank needs a cleaning, right?

it really depends.  on a large tank(29 gal+), i did water changes every couple of months, but once a year i'd do a complete clean, including the gravel and underneath the undergravel filter, scrub the slime and algae off the sides, etc.  on a small tank like his, i'd do complete cleans once a month.

  13. since it's only 2.5g i would drain all the water, or as much as possible, then take it out to the backyard and rinse with a water hose until it's clean.  use the scouring side of a clean sponge to get the algae off the sides.   dont forget chlorine remover before putting the betta back.
