  1. Yes, this show Alien:Earth is 2 years before Alien. Basically this failure by Weyland Yutani looks be why they send the Nostromo to investigate the space jockey in LV-426
  2. No, not in canon. There was the Hyperdine corporation had synthetic prosthetics but we never saw it. The non-canon alien vs predator vs terminator further had Hyberdine cyborgs obviously…
  3. It’s all just setting up cloning and the eventual rise of Weyland Yutani’s true market competition Wal-Mart. And then we can get our Alien 5 that Joss Whedon wrote to follow up Alien:Resurrection
  4. It was always populated that they can use some form echolocation since they click and his. We’ve had games and canon comics both show that they have heightened pheromone senses to track prey and their dome skull can detect electrical “aura” of prey and synths. In the games they electroreception like sharks… whcih if applied to this show and Wendy… could cause interference that she was detecting
  5. https://www.fox7austin.com/news/suv-crashes-influencers-mid-food-review-restaurant They made it seem like the car was flying off the highway and then this morning I heard the report that it was just the lady parked and forgot to put it in park… PTSD is when those drunk drivers drive all the way through a 7-11, not when a car barely rolls through a window and just shatters the glass
  6. Yeah the wife and I keep making guesses… is there an engineer head in there or something…
  7. Arcturian poontang?
  8. Solid 2 episode introduction. I like the whole synth, cyborg, hybrid arms race between WT and Prodigy It still drives my wife and I crazy though that in the Aliens future scientific exploration still involves sticking their faces 2 inches from unknown flora/fauna…. Like I don’t even put my face that close when I’m unboxing a birthday cake but these dudes will travel 1000 light years away, find the atmosphere breathable and remove safety gear and stuff their faces right into foreign living creatures personal space… [emoji1787]
  9. Is that a bedroom, kitchen or garage?!? White folks…
  10. What do I know about diamonds? Don’t they come from Antwerp?
  11. As my pops always said about his ‘65 beetle It’s got a 2/55 AC. 2 windows rolled down at 55mph
  12. Fyi when you get tired or getting mowed down in normal warzone, casual warzone and casual resurgence are fun versions that lack the tryhards. It’s a mix of real users and bots so you can have some fun and not get smoked by a streamer Also havoc mode is back and it’s a pretty fun mode.
  13. I’m support side. I make AUSAs look good
  14. My son has been going harder and harder into fishing as he’s gotten older. Now at 13, he’s fishing as much as he can in this north Texas heat. Every extra dollar he collects goes towards gear. I finally joined in on the fun again after not really fishing for the last couple of decades. Picked up a new Abu Garcia baitcaster and immediately remembered how easy it is to backlash that bad boy. Took a minute to dial it in on different lures but I’m back on the fishing “boat” again. But it’s usually more fun to watch him fish
  15. A 924c is for use, carrying or possession of a firearm… or so my non-attorney understanding of it…
  16. There is always semen on everything! At all times
  17. lol sorry wild afternoon and night! We had a bank robbery where the defendant was charged with robbing a bank and a 924c for a gun that he threatened he had in the note. The whole event was: he robbed the bank with a note that said he had a gun. He never brandished it. He gets the money and runs out and in the alley between buildings he runs into a rival gang member. They get in a fight and he pulls the gun out and shoot the dude. Fast forward to trial prep, I pull CCTV footage from the cameras not affiliated with the bank and you can pretty clearly see the pistol bulging in his pants. We also get fbi and atf forensics to separately verify finger prints from the pistol and the magazine AND 2 bullets still in the magazine from the recovered pistol all matched the defendant. Fast forward again to trial: an engineer gets left in the jury panel against my protests. We get a guilty on the robbery because it thankfully wasn’t charged as armed robbery but the 924c gets hung and mistrialed. The jury reason… the engineer was couldn’t agree the concept of circumstantial evidence in practice despite not disagreeing during voir dire. He basically said that without seeing him brandish, hold or own the firearm prior to the alley murder, he couldn’t deduce that the guy did infact have pessessionnif a firearm during the robbery. And that his fingerprints on any ammo and the firearm could have been solely from the murder. Now on its face it isn’t a bad argument but all 11 other jurors were adamantly in opposition to his work (which he had also done a complete flow chart on the white board in the jury room) It was wild, the jury was pissed, we were pissed. I had since added the whole “does anyone watch CSI and expect to have fingerprinting or dna analysis on every piece of evidence?” To our questioning. [emoji1787]
  18. So part of the jury selection is that jurors are not allowed to share personal expertise in deliberations and to usually avoid that both sides will offer strike for cause to avoid that… or if it isn’t a cause, they’ll usually be cut by one side. But engineers… yeah yall can’t help but show your colors. I’ll post a wild engineer mistake we made up in Chicago about 12 years ago when I was working bank robberies, when I have time to type it all out.
  19. Honestly this. We have had a few 30-45 min verdicts on PPP loan frauds involving a lot of Nigerians… But a company ripping off stores, municipalities, cities, and small business owners by hiding percentage point markups?!? Nah that’s just living the American dream of getting rich and what even are contracts?!?
  20. Prosecution side of the table in support. Commercial/private jet pilots from what we’ve experienced like to avoid paying taxes and have shown a tendency to privately and sometimes publicly hate the IRS and govt. Lots of money being stashed in foreign bank accounts etc. The teacher thing for me/us is… most elementary teachers are women who spend their days controlling and managing a classroom full of wildass kids who can’t agree. In a jury room that can be a risky proposition (or helpful if they believe the evidence). Also on gun cases we often wanna kick gun nerds/ east Texas know it alls… I don’t need them wasting time focusing on why this defendant put a 7-20x40 chinesium scope on a sawed-off street sweeper…(it’s happened, kinda) It’s really just starting points, flag them and if they talk their way off, all good. If they are silent then we go back to their profession… It doesn’t always work but it usually plays out correct. Although now that we’ve had this swing where now maga is on a the govt sucks, white collar crimes aren’t really crimes! We are finding new problems we’ve never had before
  21. Just because you’re educated doesn’t make you smart. I’ve had jurors with masters and CEOs of companies come back and say they struggled to understand what a conspiracy is or ask the dumbest questions like why didn’t you do a dna test on something where we’ve shown them video evidence and cell phone data that puts a defendant in the scene and cell phone photos of him holding the gun and/or drugs… And then some mechanic interjects and says because they don’t need to, the dude was caught with them and he had photos of a bunch of it anyways. We usually smile and say thanks for serving, it’s the second highest honor this side of armed service
  22. The real Project X (1987)
  23. Yep… My jury order of strikes is: Engineers Commercial airline pilots(on tax cases) Elementary teachers Crim defense Lawyers College professors That’s usually the start
  24. Sounds like the $200 price tag will continue through the end of the calendar year
  25. We just finished S2, we actually stopped because I thought it was a 10ep season. [emoji2359] This season really tightened up the story telling around their free-wheeling jokes. Will really shined this season!
