  1. Prosecution side of the table in support. Commercial/private jet pilots from what we’ve experienced like to avoid paying taxes and have shown a tendency to privately and sometimes publicly hate the IRS and govt. Lots of money being stashed in foreign bank accounts etc. The teacher thing for me/us is… most elementary teachers are women who spend their days controlling and managing a classroom full of wildass kids who can’t agree. In a jury room that can be a risky proposition (or helpful if they believe the evidence). Also on gun cases we often wanna kick gun nerds/ east Texas know it alls… I don’t need them wasting time focusing on why this defendant put a 7-20x40 chinesium scope on a sawed-off street sweeper…(it’s happened, kinda) It’s really just starting points, flag them and if they talk their way off, all good. If they are silent then we go back to their profession… It doesn’t always work but it usually plays out correct. Although now that we’ve had this swing where now maga is on a the govt sucks, white collar crimes aren’t really crimes! We are finding new problems we’ve never had before
  2. Just because you’re educated doesn’t make you smart. I’ve had jurors with masters and CEOs of companies come back and say they struggled to understand what a conspiracy is or ask the dumbest questions like why didn’t you do a dna test on something where we’ve shown them video evidence and cell phone data that puts a defendant in the scene and cell phone photos of him holding the gun and/or drugs… And then some mechanic interjects and says because they don’t need to, the dude was caught with them and he had photos of a bunch of it anyways. We usually smile and say thanks for serving, it’s the second highest honor this side of armed service
  3. The real Project X (1987)
  4. Yep… My jury order of strikes is: Engineers Commercial airline pilots(on tax cases) Elementary teachers Crim defense Lawyers College professors That’s usually the start
  5. Sounds like the $200 price tag will continue through the end of the calendar year
  6. We just finished S2, we actually stopped because I thought it was a 10ep season. [emoji2359] This season really tightened up the story telling around their free-wheeling jokes. Will really shined this season!
  7. Well I may be sol, looks like the Sandman line is married to the Keymo Bummer
  8. Alright… question for you fellow whisper-pickle owners… What qd mount system is the current hot/safe/best system? Looking to switch from my DeadAir Keymo to something else as Otter Creek and a couple of other have drop warranty work for anyone running Keymo. I’m looking at a new can this summer and figured I’d switch them all at once.
  9. Rick said it best… No one wants a Beth episode…
  10. This episode was strange, I was ok with the Jerry episode more than yall it seems but this one was all over the place, the rat race was just odd
  11. Fed criminal jury duty, as long as you aren’t cut right away you’ll be there until lunch at least unless it’s a smaller gun case. That’s southern district so I may not be completely correct but in EDTX we usually have a pool of 50-60, most judges do their introductions and then it can vary from their. If you have an organized judge, they’ll usually lead the first part, asking the general questions and then usually both sides get their equal time to ask questions. In EDTX the normal timeframe is seating the 14 jurors and then releasing the rest and then a late lunch, followed by openings and if time, the first witness. While you don’t have to, wear a sports coat over a polo at least… leave your phone in the car. You can bring a book but at the federal level it’s 1 trial, 1 jury pool. If you really don’t want to be on the juror, answer a lot of questions. The more you talk, the more you make yourself known and less desirable. Also be an engineer or elementary teacher. Or a commercial pilot on white collar tax cases.
  12. As the proud owner of a wide body scat challenger (I mainly love the classic look) You rich mf’ers suck balls with all of y’all’s badass whips! I was driving my wife’s Subaru up here in Arkansas and have been consistently telling her, these roads would be fun in my car. [emoji20]
  13. Waaay behind but… This is what happens Larry!
  14. The part I missed about astroworld was that a 9yo died in that… Wtf?!? Who is bringing their kiddo into the pit much less even bringing them to that kind of party
  15. Here is what has always circulated around. Basically the concept was skip the droid episodes
  16. Heh season 1 of tires was their skits with a loose story. Season 2 is a little more meshed out in the story. They’re both great though
  17. Yeah I thought the rebellion had started playing it in clips to start little fires. Kinda like Ezra’s hacked broadcast from the empires telecommunication systems on Lothal.(which Tarkin then has destroyed to kill the broadcast). Put these out across the galaxy
  18. Lmao just started the new season, episode 1 was a home run. Wife and I were laughing our asses off at the reactor scene. My wife kept saying why is it named so dumb is this another matrix?!?
  19. That’s about the perfect amount of Norm I need. His cowboys segment was great. If they have him as a limited guest it’d be perfect
  20. lol FoY was pretty bad… It was lazy Indiana Jones meets National Treasure meets The Mummy, but removing the good writing and creativity and for some reason removing Guy Ritchie dialogue…
  21. Watched “Mo” Never heard of season 1 but saw that season 2 dropped this winter/spring. Palestinian refugee family moves to Houston, comedic story-telling as he grows up “hustling” in Houston as family works through asylum system. He speaks Spanish, dates a Catholic girl, deals with living at home with his mom and older autistic brother.
  22. It took like 10 years to find Jyn, she was a kid and then went to jail after being raised by Saw! /sarcasm
  23. Yes. Remember Draven had been ignoring Tivik and the correllian treaty members had been in-fighting/spying on Saw as a terrorist cell making things “worse” on Jehda. Tivik puts the whole Ghorman power, Jedha kyber, “weapon” intel from Luthen/Kleya into verified “planet killer”.
  24. This season Andor is basically living Luthen’s speech to a T. Which we know will end with him seeing a certain kind of sunrise that he stares directly into…
  25. The Empire has a right to defend themselves.
